Catalina Motel Lake Macquarie

Clean and friendly staff. Perfect place if you're looking for a place to sleep for a night.

Old and room was musky and smelling so needed a big airing out. Pool looked great but it rained while we were there.

Good sized room, clean motel in Toronto not far from the M1 motorway

We stayed for one night in room 22 which had been renovated and had nice modern decor. The room was clean. The bed was overy comfortable. Everything worked well, the air con, the WIFI, the TV, the hot water and shower. The shower was great! There was enough space to lay out our small suitcase and keep it open so we could easily take out clothes as we needed them. Pool look inviting and no traffic noise.

Room was excellent, bed had easy access on both sides and the shower was excellent. Toilet had good grab rails and supplies were excellent. The upgrades that are happening to the outside of the building are great. I recommend upgrading the chairs in the Easy access room to ensure they are secure (have arm rests). Pool entrance at the water's edge was difficult rail to small and steps to large - I could have got in but never have got out without significant assistance.

Really lovely presented rooms, light bright and comfortable. The bed and pillows very comfortable. We were welcomed and made to feel at very much at home by management. We would very much recommend staying at Catalina Motel Lake Macquarie!

Great location as you are a short drive to Lake Macquarie , restaurants and clubs. Very close to railway station for train to Coffs Harbour. Very peaceful and bed was very comfortable. Manager was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again when visiting the area.

The Catalina Motel is my 'go-to' whenever I visit the area. The rooms are clean and well-presented, the owners and staff are friendly and accommodating, and nothing is too much trouble. The ladies who service the rooms are a delight, always smiling and happy, they take pride in a job well done, and it is obvious. On my recent stay, Eleanor, the owner, asked if I needed anything to make my stay more comfortable. I didn't at that moment, however, I said ' Well, I will be knocking on your door about 5 pm to get some ice for my scotch.' I didn't have to knock, at around 4.45 Eleanor tapped on my door to deliver a tub of ice. I might add that she repeated this the following day, with no prompt needed. Now how is that for service!!!! she even had a charger to fit my phone. I highly recommend the Catalina Motel, I can't wait for my next visit.

Excellent value for money (especially over Easter Long Weekend). Room was clean, bed comfy, bathroom fine, nice & quiet room (well insulated from outside/next door noise), parking was sufficient for a larger vehicle, staff were pleasant/helpful & non-intrusive. The amount quoted (months prior) was exactly the same amount payable on arrival (which in not always the case at some motels). Will stay there again, for sure!
