Als ich nach einer Lösung fragte, sagte sie, ich könne nur auschecken und ein anderes Zimmer buchen, was extra kosten würde. Der Rabatt für eine Buchung einen Tag im Voraus sei nicht verfügbar. Außerdem war die Bettwäsche beschädigt (siehe Bild) und das Warmwasser in der Dusche war abwechselnd warm und kalt."

"Chengde Kumquat hotel, has a good location – 10 minutes of walking from Chengde South Railway Station. Rooms are clean and spacious. However, there are no fabric towels, only paper ones. Imagine you dry yourself with a paper towel, which is disgusting, It is not enough, so you have to suffer after taking a shower. The old lady who rents eight rooms (that is all for this small hotel) does not want to bother to wash towels; she prefers lazy lifestyle of rich owners - easy money with less work."

"I stayed at this hotel for 10 days and had a really positive experience overall. The room was spotless throughout my stay, with crisp, clean bedding, fresh linen, and well-maintained towels. The bathroom and amenities were equally clean, and the smart room features worked perfectly. I especially loved the “sleep mode” function, which turned off the lights and closed the curtains automatically — such a thoughtful touch that made it easy to wind down without even getting out of bed. The location is also a strong point. It’s close to supermarkets and smaller local restaurants, which was very convenient day-to-day. While it’s a bit further from the main built-up city area, it’s still within walking distance of livelier spots. What makes it particularly special is its proximity to nature — being close to the mountains and nearby national parks is a big advantage if you enjoy that kind of setting. In terms of amenities, I really appreciated the free laundry (wash and dry), as well as the steamer provided for clothes — both were incredibly useful during a longer stay. One thing to note is that this branch doesn’t appear to have an on-site restaurant, even though one may be mentioned in the listing. A gym and spa are also advertised, but I didn’t personally see or use them, so I can’t confirm their availability. My only real downside was that the walls are quite thin, and noise from other guests could sometimes be heard. However, the staff handled this situation very well when it arose. What truly stood out to me was the staff. They were consistently warm, welcoming, and helpful. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated that they spoke English well, which isn’t always the case even in larger cities. They went above and beyond — even adding me on WeChat to assist with questions, provide recommendations, and check in when needed. Their kindness and attentiveness made a big difference in my stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for travelers who value cleanliness, thoughtful amenities, and genuinely excellent service."
