The Chudleigh

As a family we have stayed at the Chudleigh on various occasions. The owners were amazing at making us to feel welcome, comfortable and happy. The rooms are clean, cosy and have everything you could need in a stay and more. Breakfast was big and plenty to choose from as well as being delicious. I would recommend a stay to anyone.

Was made to feel welcome by friendly staff, nice size room. Lots of little extras that you wouldn't get in a chain hotel. Very comfortable beds and breakfast was of a high quality and lots of choice. Muffin was amazing. Would be happy to stay there again and excellent location.

We stayed at the Chudleigh in Clacton on sea in beginning of September carol the owner is so welcoming and helpful room was very clean and had tea coffee biscuits chocolate also bathroom was well stocked with little sachets of everything you need had you not bought your own very quiet breakfast is very good a great choice made available only downside was I’m asthmatic and room we had was very warm but not the hotels fault so something in future I would make sure we have a balcony would give the chudleigh 5 stars carol truly does deserve this and makes your stay very very welcoming Tracey

I’m currently staying in a twin room with my daughter and I could stay here forever if I’m honest. The beds are comfortable, the pillows are so soft, we have a fridge and fan which are needed in this hot weather, lovely towels, a nice big bathroom I could go on and on. The owners are lovely and kind and I will certainly be a regular customer from now on. Thank you

Excellent stay at the Chudleigh hotel. Every detail is thought about and lovely extra little touches in the room. Great breakfast. Thank you very much to carol and all the staff, you were exceptional. Location is excellent, very short walk to the beach.

You always get a great welcome from Carol, the owner. Rooms are spotlessly clean. Beds are really comfortable. We had all amenities that we needed in our room including a mini fridge and a fan. In the room there is a variety of choice of teas, coffees, hot chocolate etc as well as biscuits & confectionery. Each day when the rooms were cleaned we were left with fresh bottled water. The dining room is spotlessly clean & all staff members always had a smile on their face greeting you good morning. For breakfast there is a vast amount of choice. You can pick from cereals or full English. A variety of flavours of fresh fruit juice. You also a choice of fruit & berries. There was freshly brewed coffee or pots of tea. You could pick from white or brown bread for toast & they were happy to accommodate any choice of eggs you wanted. All food was fresh and hot. Once you finished breakfast a tray of muffins are offered to you to eat or take away. We always stay at the Chudleigh for our stay in Clacton-On-Sea. It is a perfect location for the sea front & the neighbouring restaurants. We look forward to our next visit in the British sunshine!
