My friend booked a room just for a night. When we arrived at 3 pm for check in, we were told that our room was still being cleaned. We wasn’t able to get into our room until 5. When my friend checked in, we were told that they had to get us more towels because they were being cleaned. When got to the room, one of the beds wasn’t made up at all. The pillows were on the night stand, the sheet was not tucked in, and it didn’t have a blanket on it. None of the pillows had pillow cases on them. We went to the front desk and got the blanket and they still didn’t have towels. The front desk clerk told us that she would bring towels to our room. We went back to the room, got dressed, and left for a 5 hour party . When we got back, we still didn’t have the needed towels. My friend went to the front desk and asked for the towels and the guy at the desk told her that they didn’t have any because they were getting washed. At that point, my friend demanded towels and we still didn’t get the towels that we needed. While we were getting dressed for bed, we started seeing roaches crawling around the room and on one the beds. I don’t know if the roaches were in the towels that they gave my friend but we didn’t see them before we those towels. We’re went to talk to the guy at the desk and when we requested a refund the guy got on his walkie talkie and the lady fun earlier came from behind a door and talked to us. We let her know what was going on and that we were leaving and we demanded a refund. We went back to the room to gather our things to leave and when we arrived back at the front desk, there was a gate down. We had to knock on the gate to hand them the keys. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel EVER. I will NEVER stay here EVER AGAIN and I will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff there is so amazing! I’ve been there in the past and looking back at it then and now, you can tell that this staff care about their building. They are caring, friendly and everyone customer service is great!!! I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends! Ms. Stella the GM has a heart of gold, keep up the good work. Upper management need to treat this one like the rest and give them a seating area and coffee every morning, they deserve it too.

Had a very comfortable stay here. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The Manager Stella was so friendly and helpful. I was in the area for an interview. I will stay here again the next time I’m back in the area. Keep up the great work!!!

My name is Larry McCray, and I've been a guest here, close to 3yrs. After divorce, I needed time and space to reset and realign myself with life. I have seen several administrations and guests come and go. I am pleased to write this communique to speak to the day-to-day operations of this hotel. The current staff are people with excellent customer service skills and their politeness should be a model for all Sandpiper Properties. Stella has brought a level of professionalism that is 5 star. Her ability to interact with a diverse population is refreshing. With multiple guests, from various walks of life, this staff remains committed to bringing a "Marriott" experience without a doubt. I have become so comfortable here that I have been a bit lethargic in finding a permanent residence. This is due in part to the level of competence and probity this staff exudes. I must also make mention of a staff member, Mr Cortez Abbott. He has been seen, singlehandedly, defuse and display unique managerial qualities, that if given the chance, could even cause this property to become greater and more attractive. Stella helps make our stay better. Brandon has been a huge help since we checked in. Even though we've had a few bumps in the road the staff was always willing to meet us and work with us to resolve any problems. I came here at 2am, after leaving the Econo Lodge AFB because of bed bugs (see that review). This was close to that hotel and close to my job where I had to be at 7am the next morning. This was $40 more than the Econo Lodge but the pictures looked nicer and I thought it would be worth the upgrade. Wrong! It definitely wasn't worth $40 more. Had I known it was another Choice Hotel, I would chosen something else. When I checked in, I asked the man at the front desk if they had bed bugs. He thought about it for a few seconds and then said, "I don't think so, just roaches. "ROACHES?!?!" He replied, "A guest said they saw one today". I waited for him to laugh because it had to be a joke. He didn't. It wasn't. He told me I could check the room out before charging the card. I did. I was not expecting the room to look like a college dorm from the 80's, but I will say, it looked clean. So, I took it. By this time, it was 2:30am. I was checking out at 6:30am. I figured I could just pray my way through the next 4 hrs. I appreciated the customer service and the fact that the room was very, very clean. There was no breakfast and the set up was even more basic than the last place but I made it through the night and I'm grateful I didn't see any bugs.

Had a great stay here! I’ve been here once before and I can certainly say that things have taken a huge step in the right direction. After hours on the road, I had a minor issue with my reservation and the manager Stella stepped in and assisted me. Her positive attitude and friendly demeanor made all the difference after hours on the road.

I have been staying at this property for almost a month. Very nice and clean hotel. Dior Ms Stella Ms Shelia Ms Marcia are ALL WONDERFUL and professional. They treated me with the upmost respect. These Ladies go above and Beyond to make sure the guests are safe and Comfortable. They made me feel like family. Great place to stay Brandon also at the front desk is very nice as well. Very helpful when needed.
