Travelodge Washington A1 (M) Northbound

Be aware of cold rooms and unhelpful staff. Asked to move rooms for painting and decorating purposes, when asked to remove I was told there are no rooms baring in mind I had already been there for 7 days. Walls were very thin - Loud noises in the corridor throughout the night making it hard to sleep. Upkeep of the rooms was minimal, had the same towels and bedding for the whole duration of my stay. Overall not happy with the service and cleanliness of the hotel and will not be returning.

Worst experience, will not recommend. The rooms lack water pressure. The lady literally threw my food in the bin instead of keeping it in the fridge for a night and did not bother to tell me that there was no space in the fridge. Instead, throwing the food away was easier for her.

A bit noisy but to be expected when booking a hotel on the motorway. Nothing a pair of earplugs can’t fix. Bed was super comfy. Pretty sure we got more than a standard room even though we didn’t ask for it. Great value for money.

I've stayed at this site a few times with different family members when we visit Beamish Museum. It means that we can do two days at the museum with an economical pleasant overnight stay close by. It makes a day out into a short break holiday. This adds excitement for the different family members and saves travelling.

Great hotel, very clean and tidy, little dated but otherwise can't fault. Great staff. Will be back.

There’s little I can say about the hotel as it was really just a place to rest our heads for the night. Staff were friendly, the room and hotel were clean and the stay went without issue. In the morning we had breakfast from the motorway services just behind the hotel.

What a lovely place when I arrived here clean and friendly people, but come the morning what a hell hole, susan a member of staff shouting at other staff members and the language used was shocking I went to leave the and could hear her from door way very unprofessional i heard her name being used while she was around hotel that’s the only way I know it but I hope she doesn’t do that on a regular business as it’s unacceptable and something I don’t want to hear when I’m coming to stay their.

I wanted a place to stay. They had a place to stay. I had a play to stay with a breakfast box and parking

We had a one night layover on our way further north as we wanted to visit WWT Washington before our final destination. Although very basic, this is reflected in the price but has everything you need for a good night's sleep and freshen up before continuing your journey. Garage and Services are within a very easy walk and any food/provisions can be easily obtained.
