We asked our agent to book this hotel based on the pictures online and its amenities. When we arrived, there was a gate across the parking lot entrance. We had to find a way to get into the lot through another smaller gate that was luckily unlocked. The outward appearance of the hotel was horrible. Weeds overgrown, no cars in the lot, all doors locked, and it looked like windows were broken. We managed to find an unlocked door so we could go in. No one in the lobby, plastic on all the furniture and tape on all the glass. The place looked condemned. Hearing voices from above me, I followed them upstairs where I found a lady who told me they were closed (via google translate) and they did not have a room for me. After voicing my concern for several minutes and pleading with her because we had nowhere else to go, she finally walked us back outside and down the street to a small building that looked like a 2-story house. They showed us to a room inside that was nothing like what we expected. No hotel amenities, no view of the sea, etc.. Not at all what we expected or paid for. The room also had an odor. I called the manager to explain that we were leaving due to the bait-and-switch that we felt had happened and they immediately stated they would not do anything about it. This all occurred in early June of 2022 and we are still trying to get any response from them in hopes they will refund us. I even offered to pay for one night if they would refund the other 2. No response. So, I have no choice but to pursue this hotel through other means and write this review. This was a very disappointing situation and even more disappointing response from the hotel. The hotel was closed, and they knew it was closed and they never contacted us ahead of time so we could deal with it. They waited for us to arrive, stuck us in a small building in a stinky room and hoped we would just deal with it. This was horrible and I will tell the story as many times as I can if it prevents others from being put through a similar bait-and-switch by this hotel. I had no choice but to find another hotel while my wife was crying over the situation and then get a taxi to transport us to the new hotel. And I never asked for anything but a 2-night refund for my 3-night reservation that we were not able to enjoy.

Herrliche Lage. Ein etwas veraltetes 4-Sterne-Hotel. Eine schöne Renovierung würde es in Bezug auf Lage und Service einzigartig machen. Größere Flexibilität gegenüber den Gästen wäre wünschenswert, kleine Details wie das Frühstück, das oft nicht inbegriffen ist, aber für einen Geschäftskunden, der jeden Monat über Nacht bleibt, in Betracht gezogen werden könnte ... kleine Details, die die Struktur attraktiver machen würden. Sie können nicht allein von Tourismus oder Einkommen leben. Die Jungs vom Schwimmbad waren sehr gut. Herr Maurizio an der Rezeption war tadellos und professionell.

Ho avuto il piacere di alloggiare in questa splendida location per una settimana. Da subito entri in un ambiente pulito e confortevole attrezzato di ogni confort. A renderlo ancora piu' bello sono i proprietari Giorgio e Valerio , con la loro educazione, spontanetà e simpatia; con loro la stupenda Anna, sempre pronta con il sorriso ad accogliere tutte le tue richieste. Colazione buonissima e molto ricca per tutti i gusti. Consiglio vivamente questo b&b e di sicuro se torno a Mondello so' senza ombra di dubbio dove andare. Grazie per tutto, con affetto da Milano.

Accoglienza, pulizia, disponibilità, familiarità e umanità... sono ingredienti basilari (non scontati) per un ” piatto” prelibato da offrire agli ospiti. Sab e domenica 10/11 febbraio trascorso con due gruppi squadra (50 persone circa) dove si è respirato solo benessere. Grazie al direttore Massimo e ai suoi collaboratori Stefania, Rosy, Salvatore, Danilo e Giacomo...e a tutti quelli che hanno operato dietro le ”quinte”. Francesco Lamanna.

We spent 7 nights here at the start of September and it felt like we’d been there for weeks when we left, so relaxed were we. We’d gone to Palermo as our friend was getting married but wanted to stay outside of the city. We couldn’t have picked a better hotel. Prior to going I’d emailed to ask for a hairdresser recommendation. This was sorted easily and Giuseppe’s sister came to the hotel and put my hair up. She did a wonderful job. The hotel is small and so quiet. We were in room 3 which backed on to the kitchen. I’m a light sleeper and did worry but the soundproofing is excellent. We never heard anything. I slept well every night! The air con was excellent which was much needed due to high temperatures and the room was lovely. It was cleaned every day. The pool is a welcome respite when it’s hot and there’s plenty of loungers and umbrellas. It is close to the beach and the hotel has a key to a gate that cuts off some time. There’s a supermarket about 5 mins walk. It’s small but has everything. Ask staff for recommendations for a local pizza place but book it. You can takeaway too. Nicest pizza I’ve ever had. The hotel’s restaurant is locally known as high quality. We ate there twice and the food is spectacular. Breakfasts are beautiful. If they have sugar donuts get two!! In fact get 2 of everything!! What makes this hotel so special are the staff. They are all fabulous and go out of their way to help and just be friendly. The owner is the same. Jussi, Constanza, Jason, Giuseppe and Valentina THANK YOU. The other staff are just as good but I did not catch their names so sorry! Jussi summed up this hotel. She said she loves to work there which to me says it all. If staff are happy then so are guests. The owner is looking at getting the pool heated next year and considering Christmas openings. I will be going back.

This review will be shared in two parts - PART 1: If anyone is expecting a to read a good review - please know I have nothing good to share about this hotel and the level of customer service I just experienced. I would advise all to proceed with caution when choosing to consider this hotel. They are greedy thieves and care more about collecting your money more than anything. I have traveled all over the world and stayed in many hotels - I am always one to leave good reviews for good experiences. This hotel service is beyond disgusting. I had traveled from Calabria, Italy to stay at Unìco Boutique Hotel D’Arte on August 10th 2024. I had initially booked to stay 3 nights - spending a great total of $2000CAD for the stay. After a long 4 hour journey from Calabria to Mondello, Sicily - my fiance and I checked into the hotel so excited to be there. The property itself is very nice aesthetically. After checking in and walking to the beach (being there for only 35 minutes) I received an unfortunate phone call stating that my aunt, whom I was traveling with - from Toronto to Italy - had just been rushed to the hospital in Calabria. She was excessively bleeding and in intensive care, with no insight as to her status, well being or if she would even make it through the night. My family advised me that it was best to go back to Calabria right away. I hadn’t even taken my shoes off at the beach when I received the call. I rushed back to the hotel to advise them of the emergency situation and stated I needed to leave immediately and go back to my town where I had come from just that morning. The staff member at the front reception desk, Rosalba, contacted the property owner - in Italy they call them “Archittetto” and advised her of my situation and circumstances of having to leave immediately. The reservation was booked through ******* and communication with ******* will be shared throughout this review. The hotel owner decided to be greedy above having any compassion for myself as her hotel guest. She refused to refund me my money. I had of course stated a one night fee could be kept based on her loss - but if she could consider giving me back my money for the remaining two nights. She refused entirely. She refused to speak to me. She refused to speak with *******. She refused to return my money “unless she rented the room out to someone else”. She refused to help in any way possible. I believe this lady is a horrible person. I begged and pleaded in the front lobby area. My aunt was now in hospital and dying because of the blood loss amount. The owner did not care and chose to be selfish and choose greed, over having any compassion. After a four hour journey - we now had to start all over again to rush back home to get to the hospital she was at. I advised the staff that I have recorded the entire encounter from start to finish. I have it all documented on camera that the owner was unwilling to assist me and be understan
