The Name “Luming” | Inspired by an Ancient Chinese Tradition of Hospitality The name “Luming” comes from Xiaoya · Luming, a poem in the Book of Songs, one of the oldest collections of Chinese poetry. For centuries, the image of “the calling deer” has symbolized hospitality, friendship, ritual, and the sincere welcoming of honored guests. That spirit remains at the heart of Luming Courtyard today.
