"Super erschwinglich. Mein Zimmer war wirklich sauber und die Einrichtungen wie Dusche und Küche waren auch sauber. es war aus der Saison so nicht viel Leute, viel Platz im Kühlschrank für mein Essen. Zimmer hatte alles, was ich brauchte, einschließlich eines Fans. Waschservices waren leicht preiswert bei $6/wash und $6/dry, bringen Sie Ihre eigene Reinigungsmittel, oder kaufen Sie einige während der Ladenstunden im kleinen Shop in der Nähe des Checkin. Keine Verkaufsmaschine für sie! wirklich rockig Strand direkt hinter dem Grundstück, hatte Ladungen von Spaß nur hängen um."

"Ich habe hier übernachtet, weil es so ziemlich das einzige Backpacker-Hostel in Hamilton ist. Es mangelt wirklich an Privatsphäre – die Betten im Zimmer sind nicht abgetrennt, es wirkt also sehr offen. Es gibt kein separates Badezimmer, alles ist im selben Raum. Immerhin sind die Toilettentüren nach Geschlecht gekennzeichnet. Ich würde mir mehr Trennung wünschen, da die Herren- und Damentoiletten direkt nebeneinander liegen. Der Besitzer und/oder die Reinigungskräfte kamen ohne anzuklopfen in die Zimmer. Über meinem Bett war die Klimaanlage, die die ganze Nacht lief und ziemlich zog. Es gab eine ordentliche Küche und einen Gemeinschaftsraum, und die Lage war gut."

"10 Minuten zu Fuß zu den Waitomo Höhlen. Grundgegenstand, aber sauber und komfortabel für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. Liebe, dass sie Handtücher, die nicht erwartet wurde für den Preis, den wir gezahlt haben. Handtücher und Leinen waren scharf und sauber. Wir blieben im Chalet mit Deckel."

"I stayed here with my mum and brother in a kitchen cabin. The cabin itself was quite basic and very small – fine for one night, but it would feel too cramped for a longer stay. That said, the campsite itself is lovely and the swimming pools were an absolute highlight. We really loved them and would happily stay here again just for the pools alone. Next time, I’d definitely upgrade the accommodation to something more spacious. An on-site café would also be a great addition and would really enhance the overall experience."

"Easy check-in, staff are easily contactable. If you are arriving after front desk hours, just give them a call. Easily instructions will be given. Room is spacious. TV has the lodge's netflix account, so you may want to check in early :)) Only concern is door lock is one-way, recommend owner to consider better locks since right outside of the room door is the car park."

"Close to the Chartwell shopping mall, clean room and has all basic amenities. Heater did not really warm the room much and there is a centralized control at the corridor so I guess that is the reason why but the room wasn’t cold either so it wasn’t too bad staying during winter. The travelers next to our room made a lot of noise during bedtime (close to midnight) and I understand this is beyond the landlord’s control. The only thing that I would recommend is for the landlord to put up a notice to ensure that the lodgers will keep the house quiet after 10pm."

"I had a great stay at this hostel, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The common areas were clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere for meeting other travelers. I ended up making some new friends here, and we realized we were planning to visit many of the same places, so we explored together. That really made my trip even more memorable. The hostel itself was very clean and well-maintained, and I was impressed with the overall experience. The only issue I encountered was with late check-in. My bus arrived much later than expected, so I wasn't able to arrange an after-hours check-in in advance. I understand that the instructions were provided by email, but I did have a moment of panic because I was asked to call the hostel's phone number. Since I was traveling with only an eSIM and didn't have a New Zealand phone number, I wasn't able to make the call. It would be great if there were an alternative way to contact the hostel for late check-ins, such as WhatsApp, email, or an online messaging system. Overall, this hostel went beyond my expectations, and I'd definitely recommend it to other travelers."

"Wohnen in einem Zimmer mit gemeinsamen Badezimmern und einem Bad. Keine Bequemlichkeit. Es gibt eine Verdrängung im Zimmer, also ist dies normalerweise nur eine Verdrängung. Aufgrund der Herbstsaison sind wenige Gäste und der öffentliche Raum ist sehr sauber."

"We stayed as a family of 4 the rooms were emaculately clean, the beds were beautiful and very generous sizing, local milk in beauitful glass bottles connecting the local rural communiy was a great touch.All appliances were new and whisper quiet, which meant we all slept very well. Glenys gave us plenty of advice on where to take the children, local hot pools were a hit and the domain next door with playground gardens and basket ball courts for free family fun, the exploding geyser was great entertainment, very handy location to all the walking tracks up mt Te aroha, supermarket and shops easy walking distance from motel. The service was second to none. Rod and Glenys were amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we all had the best stay. We had car trouble, and they opened their garage and time to help us get back on the road forever grateful.Truely, beautiful caring people. We will be back again soon and have told all our friends and family of our new favorite motel"
