"This was an amazing hotel and after the hellish experience I’d had in travelling to Taunton and other things along the way this hotel was bliss. Nicky on the desk was a lovely person and made you feel like you were lifelong friends. My room was 29 and it had everything I needed. It was clean and bright and the bed was so cosy. There was even a fridge in it! There are kitchen areas on every floor with cookers, fridges and microwaves. I loved my stay and if I ever return to Taunton I’ll definitely go back there ❤️"

"The Hotel itself is very dated in decor, but I actually enjoyed this and it felt quite nostalgic to me. If you're looking for cheap and cheerful and you're not overly fussy then this place will do you just fine. After all I wasn't here to spend all day in the room, but to go out and explore. There was coffee and tea, fresh towels, and I was left alone for the 2 nights I stayed which I appreciate. Some people enjoy the maid service, but personally I prefer not being bothered. From all the other reviews it mentioned a fee upon arrival as an insurance for damages, but I got asked for no extra fees, so I'm guessing this is based on the larger more valuable family type rooms maybe. If you are a solo traveler like myself then the location is brilliant, as it's right next to the main beach strip, a cool little local beach front cafe which is reasonably priced, and if you have the legs for it like me, a massive nature trek to explore full of beautiful forestry and greenery. The main shopping town and Italian gardens are only a short 15 minute walk away. If you are on a budget there's a wetherspoons just 5 minutes away which is very decent and has great sea views, staff were all lovely. Staff at the hotel were also very friendly if you approached or talked to them. Only negative I'd say is that you can't book in till 3pm, but there is plenty to keep you busy nearby whilst you wait. If you are fussy and expect the Ritz, this place ain't for you, but if you are there with a fair level head and you just want cheap lodgings, then it'll do you fine for a night or two. I'd definitely stay again for the cheap price of just over 30 quid a night. Thanks and I'll be back down the line 😎"

"Great hostel, slept in 10 people room, quite a long walk from the city centre, but the views are worth it as you walk up, showering facilities and everything is clean, only the charging port was not so ideal as the bedframe was preventing me from plugging in my charger, but everything else was great"

"Ich hatte die Textnachricht über den Türcode nicht erhalten - und Trip.com hatte bis 8:00 Uhr angegeben, während das Zeichen auf der Tür 6:00 angegeben. Glücklicherweise wurde die Tür beantwortet - obwohl es Zeit dauerte, meine Buchung zu bestätigen - sonst hätte ich vielleicht ganz festgehalten. Meine Bettlampe funktionierte nicht, obwohl sie sofort durch den sehr hilfsbereiten Herr auf dem Dienst ersetzt wurde. Komfortable Bett, separate geteilte Toilette und separate geteilte Dusche. Der Preis betrug £46 für eine Nacht: wären angesichts der verfügbaren Einrichtungen gern £35 bezahlt worden."

"Ein sehr bequemer Ort, nur wenige Minuten vom Busbahnhof. Und das Zimmer war komfortabel und angenehm zu bleiben. Ich genossen wirklich, dass mein Zimmer ein Bad hatte, wie ich am Ende des Tages benötigte, um zu entspannen."
