Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, direkt innerhalb der Stadtmauern, sodass alle Sehenswürdigkeiten fußläufig erreichbar sind. Abends kann man gemütlich spazieren gehen, und Canterbury ohne Touristenströme zeigt erst ihren wahren Charme als historische Stadt. Der Busbahnhof ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, von dort fährt die Linie 15 direkt nach Dover. Dort kann man die Burg und die berühmten weißen Klippen besichtigen. Der Eintritt zur Burg ist zwar teuer, aber es lohnt sich unbedingt! Ein Tagesausflug ist problemlos möglich. Das Essen in Canterbury ist leider teuer und nicht besonders gut. Die Trinkgelder in den Restaurants liegen zudem bei über 13%. Ich empfehle daher, in Dover zu essen. Im Stadtzentrum gibt es in der Einkaufsstraße ein chinesisches Take-away-Restaurant, das von einem älteren Herrn aus Hongkong betrieben wird. Es ist sauber, das Essen schmeckt gut und eine Portion Wantan-Nudeln kostet nur 7 Pfund. Das Frühstück im Hampton ist gut und bietet ein typisch englisches Frühstück, bei dem Kinder sogar ihre Waffeln selbst zubereiten können. Es ist solide und die Servicekräfte räumen schnell und fleißig ab. Auch das Personal an der Rezeption ist sehr freundlich, und es gibt sogar chinesischsprachige Mitarbeiter.

The location of the hotel was ideal for me visiting a retailer at Bluewater however it would be difficult without a car. The is a free to use car park with plenty of space for residents however there appears to be an Indian restuarant being built on the site as part of the hotel building which would cause major issues for residents looking to get parked if arriving after dinner service in the evening starts. The reception is largely unmanned and you need to call a mobile number for any issues. In fairness, when I checked in, the chap on reception told me there was an issue with the hot water but would be sorted within an hour. Sure enough it was. The following morning, getting ready for work, there was no hot water, so I called the mobole number and the chap told me he'll get it sorted right away. Sure enough within 30 minutes it was working. I believe the issue was with the pump as once started, there was plenty of hot water. The room was absolutely as seen in the photos. Lovely large spacious room with a skylight Velux style window, so plenty of fresh air. The aircon unit worked a treat for the warm muggy evening and night. There was an abundance of tea, coffee and some bisuits was was a real treat. There was also a couple of bottles of water which was a nice touch. Overall, I would stay here again and hopefully next time, the onsite Indian restuarant will be open.

Ein Standard Premier Inn ... Zimmer war sauber und modern, der Rest des Hotels ein wenig müde, aber für den Preis und was ich erwartete, war völlig gut. Ein einfacher Spaziergang nach Canterbury, aber Sie müssen durch einen Untergang gehen, der einige Leute vielleicht problematische Sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp. sp WiFi ist getrocknet, um Sie zu ermutigen, ... nicht ein Fan von diesem zu aktualisieren.

I enjoyed my stay it was a good experience and the owners are lovely people and helpful if there’s any issue

What an amazing hidden gem this is. Nestled on a hill top overlooking the marshes with Warehorn church over the road, this pub with rooms is a must for a romantic get away. We arrived early and had a drink in the bar, which is beautifully quirky, a welcoming log fire burning and a wide selection of drinks. We had booked ”Niddy” an attic room with so much to give, a comfy bed, roll top bath, and so much character. The only ****** I had with the room, was the W.C squeezed into the roof space it was a little awkward to stand up and wee, but that's a small thing when it comes to such a great room. Requesting a quiet table for dinner, we were given one in a side area and again we couldn't believe it, it was super romantic and we had the whole room to ourselves. Our waiter Muli was so good, he was attentive but not intruding, and so funny, we haven't had many meals out and he really did make the evening. The food was excellent and the vegan burger was one of the best I have had. The location was brilliant, if you're into walking, cycling, birdwatching or wanting to visit local sites (rye was only 20min drive away) The rest of the staff were also brilliant, and couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely return.

Days Inn proved to be a comfortable enough one-night stop-over choice. I found this hotel to be well-located, allowing for quick and easy access from the highway. With ample safe parking in the parking lot, EV charging facilities, and freestanding tap-to-pay self-service laundry machines available to use, it was nice to be able to refresh and reset for the following day without issue. The hotel's entrance sits directly opposite that of the Roadhouse rest which houses a varied selection of takeaway catering outlets, a Costa coffee shop, and WH Smith convenience shop amongst others can be found. The hotel's reception desk entrance shares a clean + suitably maintained garden/courtyard and picnic table seating, all within reach of the hotel's free wifi network, which proved useful. Despite arriving well before the stipulated check-in time, the front desk team was helpful and accommodating. An easy check-in + check-out process made for a budget-friendly, and hassle-free evening stop-over before continuing on with my Travels.

So nahe der Familie so groß Lage für uns gute Preiszimmer hatte erstaunliche Aussicht ein wenig müde konnte mit einer Farb Dusche war schwer zu wechseln und aus zu halten, aber hatte heißes Wasser laufen guten Druck Bad konnte mit einem guten sauber in den Ecken jedoch In der Regel ziemlich sauber. Hat eine gute Nacht schlafen sauber Bettwäsche Grundausstattung Eisen funktionierte nicht.Frühstück war nicht viel Wahl keine heiße Mahlzeit und sehr Grundkoffein war nicht groß alles, dass ein Schlitten wir hier bleiben würden wieder in schlechter blieb.

Wonderful location, just a stones throw from the Centre of Canterbury. Our Host was lovely, very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was not overwhelming, very basic. It was included in the price so can't really complain. Lots of niggles with the room though..... maintenance appears to be down on the list of the priorities sadly. Fridge didn't work. TV had cracked plastic frame around it. Remote didn't connect to the TV. However you could turn on the TV manually....once you'd sussed out what wasn't working first. Bedside set of drawers had handles that kept falling off. No sink plug in the bathroom. You had to be a contortionist to see in the bathroom mirror, it could have been better positioned on the adjacent wall. It was also a little concerning that all the electric devices had to be plugged into just one trail board. That being said, inspite of all the niggles, it didn't stop us from having a lovely weekend stay in Canterbury - location made up for it along with Sanjeewa's hospitality.

Das Hotel ist eine bequeme Lage. Das Personal, das ich getroffen habe, war wunderschön und wirklich hilfreich. Die Zimmer sind sehr standardisiert, aber sauber. Ich wurde vor der Zeit erzählt, dass neue Seifendistributoren warten auf Lieferung, so wurde mit einer Tasse von Handseife geliefert. Nicht groß, aber zumindest war ich nicht ohne. Es ist nicht mein üblicher Ort, denn ich bevorzuge irgendwo etwas ruhiger, aber mit seiner Lage und meinem Aufenthalt am Wochenende fiel der Außenlärm ein wenig distrahierend während versucht, schlafen. Auch das zugewiesene Zimmer hatte ich auch für Innenlärm gelassen und die Türen waren oft offen und geschlossen. Der Parkplatz war zuerst verwirrend. Der Parkplatz um die Rückseite ist ein kurzer Aufenthaltspark, so dass ich mein Auto auf die multi-Story nach unten und zurück zu gehen, aber nicht die Hotels schuldig und ich bin dankbar, dass sie mir das erzählt haben. Alles in allem ist es ein guter Aufenthalt. Persönlich für mich mag ich ein wenig mehr in einem Zimmer, aber für den Preis, den Sie nicht grumble

Das Hotel Southcliff ist sehr gut gelegen und die Ansichten sind spektakulär. Das Personal war freundlich und extrem hilfreich. Das Hotel ist jedoch sauber, aber in großer Notwendigkeit einer Upgrade. Ich denke, das könnte schon auf der Tagesordnung stehen, da wir zwei Paare im sauberen Stock waren und unser Zimmer war frisch, kürzlich eingerichtet und sehr beeindruckend. Während unser Zimmer Freunde alt und sehr müde war. Es ist eine gute Basis nur wenige Minuten von Folkestones Hafen und Restaurants, aber nur diese Renovierung braucht, um es zu einem Top Hotel zu machen.
