常德柳叶湖是湖南省常德市的核心旅游度假区，集自然风光、人文历史、体育赛事与音乐文化于一体，被誉为“中国城市第一湖”。沿湖有渔樵文化遗址、常德会战主题雕塑群；大小河街（含大河街、小河街、麻阳街）为国家级旅游休闲街区，融合古建筑与非遗文化。刘禹锡贬谪常德（古朗州）时创作《陋室铭》，湖畔建有司马楼纪念。流传“刘海砍樵”“嫦娥奔月”等神话传说。

Beautiful nature - though I went on a very foggy day, I would recommend to stay around as the weather changes so fast. I had the most spiritual experience in the temple as it was so quiet and majestic.

Orange Island is a bit of a mixed experience, and I'm honestly not entirely sure whether I'd consider it a must-visit in Changsha.It's a large, green, and pleasant park, with beautiful riverside views and plenty of space for walking. If you enjoy places with historical significance or simply want to experience a different side of the city, it's definitely worth considering.Most visitors seem to take the sightseeing train to the southern end of the island, where the famous Mao Zedong statue is located. That's also where you'll find plenty of people taking photos, so don't expect a particularly quiet experience.The main downside is that visiting the island takes quite a bit of time, especially if you want to explore it properly. And while it's certainly a nice place, I'm not sure the experience justifies spending several hours here if you have a limited amount of time in Changsha and other places you'd like to see.On the other hand, if you're simply looking for a relaxing walk through a green park, with opportunities to stop by the river and enjoy the scenery, it's a lovely option.Overall, I'd say it's worth visiting if you have some extra time or are particularly interested in Chinese history. Otherwise, I wouldn't necessarily put it at the very top of your Changsha itinerary.

黄鹤楼雄踞蛇山之巅，俯瞰滚滚长江，从三国时期始建以来，历经二十多次损毁和重建，现存的是1985年落成的仿木结构楼阁，朱柱黄瓦，飞檐层层叠叠。1800多年来，无数文人墨客在此临江题咏，崔颢那句“昔人已乘黄鹤去，此地空余黄鹤楼”，让这座楼名传千古，黄鹤楼不只是建筑，更是千年诗词的载体。

徐导讲解非常专业，生动耐心，引人入胜。重点展品全部着重讲解，也会联系历史典故等等，让人更容易听懂，很推荐。

自驾途中选择在常德大小河街歇脚，晚上夜幕降临后，华灯初上，在河街散散步，一路逛吃，吹着柳叶湖的晚风，好惬意哦！河街这边的常德米粉、钵子菜也都很有特色。常德这座城市给人的感觉是干净清爽，生活节奏也不至于太快，正是应验了那句话“常德，好灵醒”。
