国会大厦建筑宏伟壮观，巨大的白色铸铁穹顶，顶端矗立着“自由女神”雕像。国会大厦是美国立法机构（参议院和众议院）的办公地，许多影响美国乃至世界的法律都在此诞生。参观大厦内部需要提前在官网预约，我们找到游客中心，安检非常严格，no liquid，保温杯里的热水只能全倒掉。进去之后先是在小影院里看一部10分钟左右的历史介绍，然后分组分发耳机，由讲解人员带领着参观。只见大厦内部到处都是华丽的装饰画、精美的浮雕和众多历史人物雕像，讲解人员热情地给游客介绍厅内陈设和人物故事，还参观了参议院和众议院会议大厅和议员办公室等。

白宫就是一大白房子，草坪绿得扎眼。铁栅栏外挤满拍照的，有导游举小旗嚷嚷，游客伸长脖子够着看。有个小孩骑在爸爸肩上，指着窗户说看见人了，其实啥也没有。绕着走半圈，后院那几棵大树看着比楼还老。路对面有个老头举个牌子站着，没人理他。待了十分钟，太阳晒得脖子疼，转身走了。回头望一眼，那楼安安静静蹲在草坪里，跟明信片上一样。

2017年9月21日来的。在国会山和华盛顿纪念碑之间，有一大块狭长的绿地，就是美国的国家广场，广场的四周有众多的国家级博物馆和纪念馆，每个场馆都非常有看头，单个地方都可以逛半天。如果时间不够，拍拍照也不错。这些建筑造型各异，拍照打卡都很出片。

i had the privilege of visiting the US Capitol in Washington DC back in 2019. the tour took us through the rotunda and crypt, as well as a history of the building. definitely highly recommended for anyone who visits DC!

It is a very pleasant experience to spend a couple of hours in this gallery. In fact, it’s not enough to visit it once (given the size of it, and it’s always free to visit!). I particularly enjoyed looking at the architecture of the newer part of this gallery (see photos). Also, the vibe is really good and perhaps it has something to do with the abundance of natural sunlight. Definitely recommended to plan a visit to this place!
