We stayed at Hotel Thrive in Kathmandu for two nights and had a very pleasant experience. The biggest highlight of this hotel is its location — it’s tucked away from the busy, noisy streets, yet right in the heart of the lively Thamel area. It felt peaceful while still being close to everything. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean, and the price was very reasonable for what we received. We were so satisfied with our stay that we decided to come back again after our trip to Pokhara. Overall, there’s really nothing to complain about. A great choice if you want comfort, convenience, and a quiet stay in Thamel.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage, das Personal beim Einchecken war freundlich. Das Zimmer gefiel mir sehr gut, da es recht groß und komfortabel war und eine Klimaanlage hatte. Die Dusche war gut, könnte aber besser sein. Ein Pluspunkt: Es gab eine Warmwasserdusche und eine zusätzliche Badewanne. Ein Wasserkocher mit Trinkwasser wurde uns zur Verfügung gestellt. Tee und Kaffee wären besser gewesen, aber das Personal war hervorragend und versorgte uns auf Anfrage mit Tee und Kaffee. Insgesamt war es für mich ausgezeichnet, im Vergleich zu Preis, Zimmergröße, Lage und Freundlichkeit des Personals. Ich habe sogar einem Freund empfohlen, dort zu übernachten, als ich dort war.

Excellent location with many eateries right at doorstep. There is a Chinese restaurant in the hotel and serves excellent and delicious food. There is also a cafe at the lobby The room was superb I slept through the night especially after a long week of trekking The only downside is there is no smart TV and everything on the screen is Chinese. Best part is there is a washing machine at higher floor where guest can washed their dirty hiking laundry. Cleanliness of hotel:8/10

The hotel staff is very courteous and the food at the hotel is delicious. It's located very close to Lord Pashupatinath temple, hardly 5 minutes walking distance. Very close to the airport as well.

This is the second time I stayed at Ramada Encore in Thamel. I was not wrong to choose it again. Absolutely everything is good here ... the staff, the room,the breakfast (oh my, sooooo good), the location, the friendliness of every single employee, from the door in. A special recognition to Nikhil in the reception, whose service and support with a sincere smile is as comforting as the sunshine on an early autumn morning. And to the staff and therapists on the spa where I took a couple of massages that were superb. Kathmandu is a beautiful, yet hectic city. Thamel even more, so to have this oasis to come to after a long day wandering around or trekking is something to treasure. In my case, this is even more meaningful as I left all my stuff to go hiking on the Himalayas for several days, coming back to the hotel with the certainty that I was going to be happily and truly welcome. Again, I was not wrong. Thank you for making a difference and for understanding what the word service means. I will certainly choose you again and again every time I come back to this unique Kathmandu I learned to love. Namaste, 🙏🏼.

The rooms were clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a much appreciated/needed balcony for drying the soaking clothes after our rainy hike. The service was quick and friendly, starting with the very nice security guard at the gate and ending with the front desk employees who were efficient and polite. The only real downside was that the hot water wasn't really working well at all in the shower, which was a bit of an issue considering I was in dire need of a good shower after my hike. But overall, a great value for anyone looking to stay in downtown Kathmandu in a convenient location!

Das Skyline Restaurant ist das beste bei Sonnenuntergang in diesem Hotel. Sie haben einen transparenten Glasboden, um alles unter Ihren Füßen zu beobachten. Viele Orte werden auch geklebt und kommen hier, um die Million-Dollar-Sightseeing zu genießen. Sie können auch das Frühstücksbuffet im gleichen Restaurant genießen, wenn Sie hier bleiben. Ich habe den Schwimmbad und Sauna auf 9 Stockwerke benutzt. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Es fühlt sich wie eine Königin dort! Das Zimmer ist super sauber und riecht schön! Ich bin erstaunt von dem A.C. System. Glaub mir, dass es sehr selten in Kathmandu zu finden! Alles ist sehr gut vom Beginn der Eincheckung bis zum Ende. Sie haben kostenlose Abflugtransporte zum Flughafen. Also empfehle ich sehr, die letzten Nächte in Nepal zu buchen und einen entspannten Abend hier genießen!

Das Hotel liegt relativ hoch und bietet einen weiten Blick auf die Stadt. Die Rezeptionistin im G-Stock ist sehr enthusiastisch und kann beim Rufen eines Taxis behilflich sein. Wir hatten auch ein Auto gebucht, um nach Nagarkot zu fahren und den Sonnenaufgang am Morgen zu beobachten. Wir verließen das Hotel um 5 Uhr morgens und kamen um 6:10 Uhr an der Aussichtsplattform an.

Wir blieben vier Nächte und konnten kaum gut schlafen, weil die Matratze zu weich war – sie hatte Ein-Sterne-Qualität, aber sie verlangten Fünf-Sterne-Preise. Das war das schlimmste Hotel, in dem ich je übernachtet habe. Nach unserer Rückkehr hatten meine Freundin und ich starke Rückenschmerzen. Ich werde dieses Hotel definitiv nie wieder wählen.
