I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. Das war ein erstaunlicher Aufenthalt. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie halfen uns, unsere Busfahrt nach Pokhara buchen und einen Taxi zum Busstation zu bekommen. Das Frühstück wurde im Dach mit Blick auf die Stadt serviert. Sehr empfehlen dieses Hotel für Ihren Aufenthalt in Kathmandu.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

We had a lovely short stay in Aarya. Starting off with convenience: by being transported by the vehicle arranged by the hotel from the Intl Airport at no extra cost. This was a lovely touch by the hotel as sometimes travellers may want to avoid the hassle of negotiating with taxi drivers and firms. Then being greeted by the wonderful staff at the reception with khada & a glass of refreshing drink. The check in was smooth and seamless. The hotel itself was remarkably decorated to a classic Nepali ‘Newari’ culture which was very impressive. Located in the heart of Thamel, but slightly away from the drawing music & hustle and bustle of the streets to provide a peaceful and quiet atmosphere that we certainly needed after a long flight. Our room was spacious and kitted out with all the amenities and not forgetting, wonderfully decorated again. The facilities provided in the Hotel, from the Gym to the swimming pool was again impressive considering we were in the heart of Thamel. I particularly enjoyed the view of Sundhara Dharahara and SkyWalk tower whilst running on Treadmill and going for a swim and also the view of Swayambhu whilst doing weights in the Gym. The Sora restaurant at the top floor provided us a majestic view of the city whilst dining both during dinner and breakfast. The glass floor at the dining area was also something unique at the hotel which we have not seen in Nepal. Food was of the highest quality, and we were thoroughly satisfied with dinner and particularly the wide range of options available on the breakfast buffet, from nepali classics such as Sel Roti and Puri to modern cuisine such as Masala Omelette and Sausage & Bacon. Truly a stay to remember and we have already recommended it to our friends and family and will definitely come back to stay here again!! After several trips to Nepal, I finally decided to treat myself with a stay at the famous Kathmandu Guest House. So glad I did. So much peace, grace, charm and beauty .. and of course, the history!

酒店服務非常專業，早餐豐富，前台服務熱情周到。説要水，很快就送來了。而且酒店裡面有電吹風，洗澡熱水非常舒適。 很多中國人到其他地方找中餐吃，結果發現最正宗的中餐在酒店樓上九層。而且這裏的巧克力布朗尼，非常正宗。原本應該是和冰淇淋一起吃，我提出來要吃熱的，酒店立即做了熱呼呼的冰激凌。酒店旁邊有個加德滿都最大的農貿市場，6個大蘋果，衹要不到20元人民幣。這裏什麼蔬菜水果都能買到。 因為加德滿都經常堵車，如果銜接航班，酒店離機場很近，這又是一大優勢。

Clean. Nice selection of breakfast. The concierge was professional and helpful. The valet staff was very helpful with the taxis. The reception desk staff was not quite familiar with his work. 1. Couldn’t find my booking. 2. Miscalculated the number of nights to stay 3. Didn’t realize the room was prepaid and was going to charge again. But he acknowledged his mistakes.

Mir hat der gesamte Hotelkomplex sehr gut gefallen. Direkt daneben befindet sich ein kleines Einkaufszentrum mit Restaurants. Selbst wenn man nicht im Hotel übernachtet, lohnt sich ein Besuch zum Essen und Trinken. Im Obergeschoss gibt es eine schöne Bibliothek, und das Anwesen ist inmitten des Straßentrubels eine wahre Oase der Ruhe. Absolut keine Lärmbelästigung. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr zuvorkommend, und ich konnte mich dort mit meinem Reiseleiter treffen, da er häufig in den Restaurants nebenan verkehrt. In diesen Villen herrscht ein authentisches Nepal-Flair – ideal für Alleinreisende, Freunde oder Paare. Viele Expats sind in der Stadt unterwegs. Ich habe eine Stadtrundfahrt mit Bibi Funyal *************** gemacht, der auch für Future Citizens Nepal arbeitet. Obwohl er hauptsächlich Bergtouren anbietet, kannte er alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung des Hotels. Ich hoffe, sie bieten in Zukunft gemeinsam ein Reisepaket an. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr hilfsbereit und erklärten mir das Bargeldsystem, Trinkgelder, Fahrer usw. Es hat während meines Aufenthalts geregnet, und diese Villa ist ein Urlaub für sich.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, cozy, and exactly what I needed after a long day of exploring. The location is unbeatable too, just a short walk from the main attractions. Would definitely book again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

Alles top, vor allem der schoene, begrenzte, ruhige Innenhof. Personal immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben den 5taegigen Aufenthalt hier genossen und sind taeglich froh gewesen, dass wir nach langen Touren durch die Stadt und Umgebung in diese Oase der Ruhe ”nach Hause” gekommen sind.
