Ein fantastisches Aufenthalt im Taj Bengal zu feiern unser Geburtstag. Die Mitarbeiter waren erstaunlich und gingen oben und darüber hinaus, um unseren Aufenthalt zu erinnern. Große Lage und Lebensmitteloptionen waren topnotch. Danke!

*Review: One-Night Stay at Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata* I recently stayed for one night at the Kenilworth Hotel in Kolkata and would rate my overall experience as a 6 out of 10. The hotel has a lot going for it, especially in terms of its location and general ambiance, but there are also a few aspects that could use improvement. To begin with the positives, the hotel is situated in a very convenient and well-connected area. Being close to central Kolkata, it’s easy to access various parts of the city, whether for business or leisure. The immediate surroundings are pleasant and relatively peaceful, which added to the comfort of the stay. The room provided was decent—clean, well-organized, and equipped with the expected amenities for a four-star property. The bed was comfortable, and the room had adequate lighting and storage space. The bathroom was functional and clean, although not particularly luxurious. In terms of comfort and upkeep, the room met my expectations. One feature I particularly appreciated was the hotel’s gym facility. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a decent range of equipment for a quick workout. For a short stay, it was more than sufficient and a welcome amenity for anyone looking to stay active while traveling. However, one significant downside was the dining experience. The biggest letdown was the limited food choices, especially in the set dinner menu. While the staff were polite and the service was timely, the menu lacked variety and felt quite restrictive. For a property of this category, I had expected a broader range of options, including some regional or seasonal specials. The lack of flexibility and limited appeal of the dinner options certainly took away from an otherwise comfortable stay. It might not be a dealbreaker for everyone, but for those who enjoy exploring a hotel’s culinary offerings, this can be a sore point. The check-in and check-out processes were efficient, and the staff at the front desk were courteous and helpful. There was a general air of professionalism throughout the hotel staff, which contributed positively to the experience. In conclusion, Kenilworth Hotel offers a reliable and comfortable stay with the added benefit of a good location and useful amenities like the gym. However, the lackluster food options—especially in the set dinner menu—stand out as an area that needs improvement. With a little more attention to dining and guest preferences, the hotel could elevate its overall appeal. For now, I would consider it a decent option for short stays, especially if dining isn’t your top priority.

Das Hotel war sauber und schön. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frau Kusum war sehr nett und professionell und hat sogar das Zimmer entsprechend unseren Bedürfnissen geändert. Das Frühstück war mit guter Verbreitung wie üblich für JW-Standards. Nur Rückkehr, zu viele Gäste. Während des Frühstücks und der Lobbys wurden durch Hochzeiten und Veranstaltungen mit Menschen gefüllt. Andernfalls waren Service, Einrichtungen und Pool-Gebiete alle schön. Alles war perfekt, außer dem Abendessenbuffet. Wir kommen später zu diesem. Ich zitiere vier erstaunliche Erfahrungen.   1. Das Rezeptionspersonal war gut ausgebildet und professionell und alle Probleme wie eine Rechnungsverwirrung wurden unaufhaltsam gelöst, und darüber hinaus schlug der Manager mir vor, in meinem Zimmer zu entspannen, während sie das Problem aussortieren; keine Notwendigkeit, an der Rezeption stehen zu stehen. Was für ein schönes Geste!   2. Es gab einige Dräneprobleme in einem der Zimmer (Ich hatte mehrere Zimmer gebucht). Ein Anruf auf Null hat das Problem innerhalb von 10 Minuten gelöst. Der Service war für ein Hotel dieser Größe sehr schnell.   3. Sie haben einen mutigen Schritt gezeigt, indem sie besonders gefährdete (Rede und Anhörung) Personen in die Öffentlichkeit stellen, die sich mit Rollen wie dem Buttermann, dem Gastgeber des Restaurants usw. konfrontiert. Sie sind alle gut ausgebildet und konnten mit meinen Eltern, meinem Kind und uns ohne Mühe kommunizieren. Natürlich sind keiner von uns in der Zeichensprache ausgebildet, aber irgendwie haben sie es sehr gut geleistet; deshalb war dies eine einzigartige und erstaunliche Erfahrung. 4. Während wir incheckten, gab es eine Verwirrung mit einigen unserer Gäste, die noch nicht angekommen waren. So entschieden wir, die Taschen zu fallen und später wieder zu checken. Als der Manager bemerkte, dass meine älteren Eltern im Auto waren, schickten sie ein paar Flaschen Wasser zum Auto. Kosten nichts, aber einen dauerhaften Eindruck hinterließ! Das Frühstücksbuffet war im Allgemeinen gut, aber das Management konnte auf dem Menü arbeiten und schmecken besser, angesichts der unspotten Natur aller anderen Einrichtungen und Dienstleistungen. Das Frühstücksbuffet hatte jedoch einen erstaunlichen Geschmack. Außerdem würde ich in keiner anderen Stadt diese Beschwerde haben, aber in Kolkata sind die Einwohner typisch Lebensmittel und die billigsten zu den teuersten Orten in der Stadt können nicht auf Geschmack kompromittiert werden. Ich möchte dem Hotel einen Vorteil aus dem Zweifel geben - ich blieb während eines (besser:) großen nordindischen Festivals. Das könnte die Hauptkocher auf Urlaub und Backup-Optionen aufgeschaltet, die versuchten, ihre besten, aber nicht ganz richtig.

Elegant und luxuriöses Hotel in einem schön renovierten Palast der königlichen Familie Kolkata. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, schön mit alten, Holzmöbeln eingerichtet. Das riesige Badezimmer und alle Etagen sind aus Marmor. Das Hotel befindet sich in mehreren Gebäuden des Palastkomplexes. Gemütliches Frühstück kann außerhalb in einem schatten Patio oder in einem klimatisierten Restaurant gegessen werden. Jeden Abend gibt es eine Live-Show von Volksdanzspielern. Einer der besten Hotels, die ich jemals gehabt habe.

Hospitality was excellent. All the staff were very courteous, which is really commendable as now a days hotel staff are usually found to be inefficient.

This was our first stay at Taj. We were thoroughly impressed. Everything was immaculately clean. It is next door to City Centre 2 shopping mall so there is a lot of food choices nearby. The reception were welcoming and hospitable. We would definitely stay again.
