Westin Surabaya ist ein schönes Eigentum mit herrlichen Aussichten und Ausstattung und unglaublichen Service zum Abgleich. Der Pool und die Umgebung sind angenehmen zum Schwimmen. Das Clubzimmer ist sehr komfortabel, ruhig und fühlt sich ganz rund um. Das himmlische Bett ist so eine Freude, in zu schlafen. Die Club-Lounge ist einer der herausragendsten Hotellounge, die ich je besucht habe. Die Ansichten vom 39. Stock sind göttlich, Tag oder Nacht. Die Service-Ebenen im Club Lounge sind von jedem und jedem Mitarbeiter unverschämt.. so willkommen, professionell mit schöner Gastfreundschaft. Nahrungsmittelauswahl, Getränke und Komfort rund um. Nila und alle ihre lieben Kollegen sind wirklich auf einem inspirierenden Niveau von Exzellenz.

Baobab Safari Resort is located quite far from Surabaya city centre, but it is definitely worth the approximately 1-hour drive from Surabaya Airport. We booked two connecting rooms, both with balconies. We were assigned to Level 4, and the view was absolutely magnificent, overlooking Mount Arjuno and Mount Welirang. Waking up to the mountain scenery was truly refreshing. Cooling weather, fresh air and beautiful scenery. Food Experience The highlight of the meals was the Nasi Rawon. The beef was very tender—soft and melt-in-the-mouth—and the soup was rich and flavourful. The portion size was generous. Other food items were acceptable but nothing particularly outstanding. For breakfast, however, the buffet spread was rather limited, especially in terms of meat and protein options. Room & Amenities The room itself looked decent but slightly dated. That said, the beautiful view more than compensated for it. One important note: do stock up on your own bottled water before arriving. The hotel uses refillable glass bottles, and unfortunately, the wooden covers of the glass containers appeared very mouldy, which was quite off-putting. Activities & Environment There are plenty of activities available. A walk through the Enchanted Forest thats full of pine trees and feeding area for Capybara, Lama, Sheep is possible, though you’ll need to take a buggy from another area. The Safari Zoo is located separately but can be arranged by the hotel. Animals around the hotel can be fed according to scheduled timings. Waterbucks, however, can be fed with carrots 🥕, which were provided by the hotel on the day of check-in. The lobby and dining areas were a standout—beautifully designed and facing the roaming animals while still maintaining a safe boundary within their designated area. Animal Welfare I have always been quite sceptical about zoo animals in Indonesia due to past negative experiences, where animal welfare did not seem well cared for. However, Baobab Safari Resort truly changed my perspective. The environment is clean, the animals appear well fed, and I frequently saw zookeepers actively present in the animal areas, feeding hay and grass to the zebras, waterbucks, buffaloes, and giraffes. It was reassuring and heartening to see such care and commitment. This experience made me believe that proper education and responsible management really do help build a better environment for zoo animals. Overall, it was a meaningful and memorable stay for my family.

Banyuwangi truly is the ultimate ”sanctuary of stillness,” and ÉL Hotel Banyuwangi provides a beautiful, serene backdrop to experience it. I had a wonderful stay overall, and while there are a few areas where the hotel can step up its game, the foundation is absolutely there for this to become an exceptional property. 🏨 The Hardware & Facilities (Top-Notch!) On the physical side of things, the hotel completely delivers. The rooms are comfortable and well-designed, the gym is well-equipped for a holiday workout, and the swimming pool area is beautiful—perfect for soaking in the quiet energy of the region. 🍳 Food & A Soothing Morning Ritual The culinary experience was a highlight. The food quality was solid, and the local flavors were genuinely delicious. But my absolute favorite part of the morning was the outdoor breakfast area, where they offer fish feeding. Watching the fish move gracefully through the water while enjoying breakfast was incredibly calming and set a beautiful, soothing tone for the day. 🌱 Areas for Growth: Service & Sustainability To truly elevate this hotel to a 5-star luxury standard, there are two areas I’d love to see improve: Eco-Friendly Amenities: In a pristine destination like Banyuwangi, sustainability matters. Currently, the hotel is still using single-use plastic containers for bathroom amenities. Shifting toward refillable dispensers or biodegradable alternatives would align beautifully with the natural essence of the area. Staff Guidance: The young team members have incredible potential and are clearly eager, but they just need a bit more structured guidance and hospitality training. With the right leadership, this passionate young staff could easily turn good service into an exceptional guest experience. 🗺️ The Verdict Overall, I will absolutely come back! There is so much promise here, and I have high hopes that the team will take this constructive feedback to heart and continue to polish their service. The hotel was not 100% ready yet when i went there. So some activities wasn’t ready too. Ambience is good, service also good too. Breakfast was average. Hope it will get better when its 100% ready

Das ist wirklich ein richtig cooles Hotel. Als jemand, der Vintage-Sachen liebt, bin ich total begeistert. Vom historischen Gebäude bis zum Zimmer im Vintage-Stil – alles hat mich in die 90er und frühen 2000er Jahre zurückversetzt. Was für eine Nostalgie! 🥺 Als Kind bin ich mit meinen Großeltern oft verreist und wir haben in Hotels übernachtet. Deshalb haben solche Hotels einen besonderen Platz in meinem Herzen. Leider hatte ich den Eindruck, dass hier stark am Budget gespart wurde. Obwohl das Zimmer am Wochenende sehr günstig war (nicht mehr als 250.000 IDR inklusive Frühstück), waren die Handtücher nicht mehr weiß und fühlten sich dünn an (ganz anders als in anderen Hotels), die Bettwäsche hatte harte Stellen und es gab keine Duschhaube. Die Seife und das Shampoo mit Zitronengrasduft fand ich aber super, und da sie in Spendern waren, entstand weniger Plastikmüll. Das Frühstück war wirklich enttäuschend. Vor ein paar Jahren war es noch gut. Diesmal war es schlechter. Es gab nicht viel Auswahl und es wirkte leer. Ich hatte wirklich den Eindruck, dass sie sich nicht viel Mühe gegeben hatten. Naja, was erwartet man schon für den Preis? Ich verstehe ja, dass sie vielleicht ein sehr knappes Budget haben. Mir fiel auf, dass sie ein Schild mit der Aufschrift „Mini-Zoo“ angebracht hatten. Ein Mitarbeiter warnte mich, dass es noch nicht viele Tiere gäbe. Trotzdem beschloss ich, es mir anzusehen. Es stellte sich heraus, dass es sich am Rand der Parkplatzstraße befand (aber im Freien). Dort gab es Fische und einen großen Vogel (ähnlich einem Huhn, aber anders, ich weiß nicht, was es war). Und ein paar Wellensittiche in zwei separaten Käfigen, die alle tot waren 😭😭 Ich sagte es einem Mitarbeiter, und sie entfernten die toten Vögel schnell. Gute Idee, aber schlecht umgesetzt. Aber die Lage war top. Nur wenige Meter gegenüber war eine Bushaltestelle, und man konnte mit dem Suroboyo-Bus überall hinfahren. Das Hotel selbst lag in einer Hauptstraße eines beliebten Viertels (der Altstadt von Surabaya), mit einem historischen Gebäudekomplex und ganz in der Nähe von Chinatown. Ich hoffe wirklich, dass sie diese Wirtschaftskrise überstehen. Ich liebe dieses Hotel wirklich 🥺.

1. The resort is awfully located in the middle of nowhere, looks like within an abandoned estate. It is so remote from any local shops, cafes or restaurants; too far by walking distance to anywhere. 2. Fancy design but inefficient: The impressive reception doesn’t warrant a massive amount of time wasted by guests. They have to catcth two lifts and walk a fair distances before reaching their room. I think you may get lost in no time. The architects do not consider a simpler ways for the sake of guests’ convenience, say by having additional lifts iooat the end of corridors to reduce walking distances. 3. The room service meals are quite awful, a way below five stars standard even it’s available in 24 hours. 4. A rooftop bars could be a bonus for relaxing guests to enjoy a mountains/city view, not like my room with a balcony, facing uninteresting garden for two day stays. 5. The positive side, my room is well represented and matches a five stars standard and facilities. Good size room with a comfortable king bed. 6. I rather prefer to stay at Hotel Tugu in Malang with a friendly staff particularly at breakfast time, even no lifts provided to go to second floor.

Second stay here and the consistency is solid. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained — no drop in standards compared to my first visit. Service was smooth throughout. Special thanks to Joan for handling both check-in and check-out efficiently and professionally. Quick, clear, and hassle-free. Location is very convenient with easy access to nearby amenities and transport. We had a meal in Nishimura  is decent — not over the top, but reliable and well-managed. Overall, a dependable hotel that delivers consistently. Would return again.

Ein guter Ort für einen kurzen Zwischenstopp, da man die meiste Zeit für Ausflüge zu Attraktionen wie Sewu und Bromo verbringt, die frühes Aufstehen und spätes Zurückkommen erfordern. Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet, vermutlich direkt im Zentrum von Malang, was Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sehr zugänglich macht. Die Ausstattung war eher mittelmäßig, man sollte hier keine hohen Erwartungen haben. Das Personal war jedoch recht hilfsbereit; man muss nur seine Wünsche äußern. Einen Föhn muss man an der Rezeption erfragen, und der hatte dann auch kaum Power – total unbrauchbar!

Es gibt so viel zu kritisieren an Dialoog, wenn man ein Suite-Zimmer bucht. Als wir das erste Mal ankamen, konnten wir nicht zu viel heißes Wasser verwenden, weil es nur für zwei Personen reicht, obwohl ich zwei Kinder dabei hatte, also mussten wir eine Weile warten, bis der Warmwassertank aufgefüllt war. Und für eine Suite haben sie keinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Die Ausstattung ist sehr standardmäßig, nur ein Zahnpflegeset. Das Zimmer selbst war so geräumig und wir hatten Meerblick, was super schön war. Die Einrichtungen sind komplett, Spa-Raum, Fitnessstudio mit ausgestatteten Geräten, der Infinity-Pool auch schön und sauber. Die Aussicht auf die Umgebung war die beste! Und hier kommt der nicht so gute Teil, das Frühstückserlebnis. Als größtes Resort der Stadt war die Frühstücksauswahl sehr begrenzt! Da ich nach diesem Hotel in ein anderes Hotel gezogen bin, kann das Frühstück von Dialoog nicht einmal mit denen mithalten. Der Geschmack war so lala. Sie bieten nur schwarzen Kaffee an und als mein Mann eine Tasse Latte wollte, mussten wir extra bezahlen, was wir in einem anderen Hotel kostenlos bekamen. Und das ist Standard in einem 4-5-Sterne-Hotel. Nur ein schwarzer Kaffee, obwohl wir 3 Millionen pro Tag für eine Suite zahlen. Sie füllen die Säfte nicht in Gläser, sondern haben sie uns auf Wunsch in kleine Gläser gegossen, und die Saftauswahl bestand nur aus Papaya, Wassermelone und Melone. Super Standard-Essensauswahl. Sie können alles haben, was Sie trinken können, außer Tee, Wasser und Kaffee 😁 Es war Hochsaison und das Essen hat mich überhaupt nicht beeindruckt. Zumindest war ich von der Aussicht und dem Resort begeistert. Das hat meine Enttäuschung über das Hotelerlebnis wettgemacht. Werde ich wieder in dieses Hotel kommen? NEIN! Es war den Preis nicht wert, glauben Sie mir, es sei denn, Sie wählen dieses Hotel NUR wegen der Aussicht.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und top ausgestattet. Das Personal sehr bemüht und freundlich. Das Fitnesscenter war gut ausgestattet inklusive Langhanteln und genug Gewichten für ein paar Deadlifts. Das Frühstück kann man sich jedoch sparen. Es gab zwar viel Auswahl, geschmacklich hat es uns jedoch nicht überzeugt. Die Skybar bietet einen netten Ausblick und das Essen war gut.
