Staff on front desk was absolutely lovely, was able to check us in early. Gym was good size, pool was busy as they also sell day passes I think but still plenty space. Room was clean along with the whole hotel. Only complaint was that breakfast was astronomical (£20pp) especially for Newcastle, I would recommend taking the short walk into town for breakfast instead

Zimmergröße war groß, das Bett war komfortabel. Nur die Frage war ein rotes Heißrohr durch das Zimmer, das nicht ausschaltbar war und das Wetter war sehr warm. Will wieder bleiben.

Best bed ever! Very comfortable linens, mattress and pillows! Towels were a bit old but very clean!
The swimming pool is just good… kind of cold but a little warm, but not enough! So it is not comfortable being on the jacuzzi at all… and every 5/7 minutes, have to get out of the water to restart the engine…
Saunas and spa were really good!
Breakfast was very good with lots of varieties that we don’t see often in hotel in the UK. Fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, breads and all the hot british breakfast dishes.
Near a lot of restaurants and shopping locations
Would be back again to this same place

The pool and the jacuzzi is lovely. the view from the room is gorgeous.
However, The hotel staff not use to got booking from Ctrip, can't recognise my booking when I check in and went to the dinner.

Nicht schlecht, etwas weit vom Bahnhof entfernt, aber in der Nähe des Flusses gibt es viele Bars. Aber das Hotel ist etwas alt. Es gibt einen sehr leckeren britischen Frühstücksbuffet und ein Eisladen umgeben.

Das Zimmer ist sehr groß, weit über 12 Quadratmeter, das Badezimmer ist auch sehr groß, die allgemeine Umgebung ist sehr gut und sehr sauber. Die Lage ist sehr nahe der Bahnhof, die Straße ist etwa 7.8 Minuten, sehr bequem. Die Empfangsstelle ist auch sehr gut.

AAnonymer BenutzerDer Service wurde erheblich verbessert. Ich habe hier fünf Nächte verbracht, als ich nach Großbritannien kam. Besser als andere Touristenstädte. Der Service an der Rezeption gefällt mir sehr gut und auch die Tante, die im Restaurant Omeletts zubereitet, ist sehr begeistert. dankbar

GGastnutzerWell what a little gem of a Hotel. Beautiful location right next to the Castle and near the Quayside. We had a lovely stay, the Staff were fantastic! So helpful and polite and friendly and very very professional. We felt very special and looked after. The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was lovely. We didn't have any meals there except for breakfast which was tasty and there was plenty of options, the Staff in there again were very lovely and attentive. Saying all this a couple of little niggles the Hotel was so hot! To be fair the weather was beautiful when we were there but there is no air conditioning in the building. I do appreciate it is an older building and it's not always possible to install Air Con Units but a few fans scattered around would have made it a bit more bearable in the public areas . There was a fan provided in our bedroom which was very welcome as the sun facing the windows all day ! We also found the bed not very comfortable, the mattress was too hard for our liking but then this may suit other people so it's not a criticism really of the Hotel more our preference to have a softer mattress.
All in all we Would definitely go back to this hotel but I think I would go in the colder months.

GGastnutzerExtremely busy hotel with coach loads of people arriving. These tend to be mini breaks for the elderly. Waiting to get served or order food at the bar on an evening is terrible due to the unmanageable influx of people.
Sat and eat my evening meal on a sofa as that was all that was available due to people sat at tables that weren’t even dining (these people were waiting to be called into a function room to eat their meal as a collective).
Parking is expensive, both in the council run car park and indeed the hotels one. This hotel is on the quayside but to be clear…….. the opposite side of the river to the busy quay. With this in mind I can’t quite understand the expensive parking and expensive food and drink prices.
The hotel rooms are really clean, very modern and extremely comfortable. The hotel itself is amazing, my only criticism was the hotel was seriously under staffed and bar food and drinks expensive for what they were.

MMichelle ElliottEinen Abend - Bankurlaub Sonntag in einem Club Doppelzimmer mit vollen englischen Frühstücksbuffet und einem Trinkgutschein. Wir blieben in Zimmer 511, das etwas geräumiger erscheint als andere Zimmer dieser Art, aber nur teilweise gesehen, weil am Ende des Korridors. Bei der Buchung hatten wir gebeten, zusätzliche Pfeile für das Bett zu haben und das wurde für unsere Ankunft gemacht. Ein sehr guter Übernachtung in einem Hotel gelegen in der einfachen Spazierweite von Bars und Restaurants auf der Queibenseite. Wir werden ein zurückkehrender Gast sein.

GGastnutzerWe just stayed over night before an early flight next morning.Rooms are quite tired could do with a refurb.Food is good and bar has cheap drinks till 7 pm ,unfortunately although the bed was comfy the pillows were like sleeping on a boulder,they had no others to offer us,would still stay for the convenience.

GGastnutzerIch habe dieses Hotel zweimal per Unfall reserviert, weil der Trip.com Schlüsselknopf nicht funktionierte. Sie waren sehr brutal und erniedrigend, als sie mir erklärten, dass ich zurück zum Dritte-Agent gehen musste. Die letzte sagte mir dann, ich gehe zurück zum Hotel und ich ging von einer Seite zum anderen. Es war nur ein Unfall, ich weiß nicht, warum sie so insistieren, mich nicht zurückzuzahlen.
