"My room smelled like cigarettes which is relatively normal for China, BUT! I asked for a non smoking room yet there is an ashtray, when I wanted to do my own laundry they tell me that they’ll do it and send it to my room. Over 12 hours later my laundry was still not sent to my room. It takes 1 hour to run a normal cycle, and nearly 2 hours to dry with low heat. Why did it take 3x the amount of time? And the toilet was not clean, these brown specks."

"The location is absolutely fantastic for visiting Shaoxing. It cannot be beaten. The historic street of Lu Xun is right outside the lobby and most major city sights are within 10 to 20 minute walking distances. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are comfy and well-appointed done in a stylish traditional Chinese style from the early XXth century. The only problem with the hotel is, outside the room, the facilities are aging poorly and are being used and/or renovated in a rather haphazard way. It's a bit chaotic inside with multiple renovation sites that are not well isolated."

"Normally book hotels which have opened within 6 months. This hotel states it opened in 2025 , but upon checking in there is no way it was opened in 2025.
The finishes are worn, and it was cleanish but the bathroom just felt dirty with the black mould build up. Around it . It also felt somewhat mis-matched. The lobby is beautiful tho. And the free ice cream was delicious.
The bedding was clean and comfy. But the first room I was given the bath mat had a stain what looked like blood. The second room reeked of old cigarette smoke I don’t know how in 2025 we are still allowing smoking in public establishments! The bedding smelt .
Also the cleaning staff were quite rude when I asked for the bedding to be changed after waking up and realising there was a stain. Made me think there were bedbugs. She said no and then found ways to justify the stain and at its normal: that left a bad taste in my mouth.
The breakfast was terrible for a westerner and a vegetarian, no cofeee no toast , no yoghurt"

Nachdem ich meinen Badeanzug angezogen hatte, stellte ich fest, dass die Behandlung im selben Hotel anders war und der Preis dem angeblichen Hotelpreis entsprach. Ich kontaktierte das Hotel und wurde abgelehnt, mit der Begründung, dass unser Hotel und unser Apar**ent unterschiedlich seien Management, und Gäste in der Wohnung können den Swimmingpool nicht nutzen. Ich musste später mit Ctrip kommunizieren, um mir bei der Bewältigung des Problems zu helfen. Ich sollte wirklich mehr über die Dienstleistungen von Ctrip erfahren.
Die Vorhänge im Zimmer halten nicht sehr viel Licht ab und die Kissen sind unzuverlässig. Ich bin um fünf Uhr aufgewacht.
Aber das Einzige, was ich gut fand, war der Service, den die Kellner an der Rezeption beim Einchecken boten. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass sie einen sehr hohen Standard hatten."

Das Zimmer war hell und freundlich, das Bett angenehm weich und nicht stickig, und die Lage war ideal: Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die U-Bahn-Station waren in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren sehr zuvorkommend, insbesondere Xiao Meng, Mei Mei und Xiao Tan. Ich werde dieses Hotel definitiv wieder buchen! Nachts entdeckten wir ein Problem in einem Zimmer, das der Hausmeister umgehend behoben hat. Die Reinigungskraft der Nachtschicht, Frau Liu, brachte uns sofort die fehlenden Toilettenartikel. Auch einige andere Details waren sehr nett, insgesamt war es ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt!"

"Was eigentlich nur eine Übernachtung sein sollte, wurde dank der unglaublichen Gastfreundschaft zu zwei! Vom Check-in mit einem tollen Upgrade bis zum herzlichen Empfang mit Obst und Tipps für die Umgebung – die Mitarbeiterinnen Olivia und Lucy sorgten dafür, dass wir uns so gut aufgehoben fühlten, dass wir am nächsten Tag einfach nicht abreisen wollten.
Der Außenpool ist wunderschön (er schließt zwar um 18 Uhr, aber der Innenpool öffnet danach), und unser Zimmer war geräumig, sauber und sehr komfortabel. Das Buffet-Abendessen war ein weiteres Highlight – köstliche Meeresfrüchte, Steaks, Grillgerichte und Getränke, mit Abstand das beste Buffet, das ich seit Langem genossen habe.
Hinzu kommt das einzigartige Design des Hotels und die atemberaubende Lichtshow am See am Abend – kein Wunder also, dass wir uns entschieden haben, länger zu bleiben. Ein absolutes Muss für eine weitere Reise!"

"Der Aufenthalt hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Das Hotel ist modern und hochwertig eingerichtet, ohne billig zu wirken. Die Schalldämmung im Zimmer war hervorragend; man hörte den Straßenlärm trotz der Lage zur Straße nicht. Kostenloses Mineralwasser und Teebeutel waren eine nette Geste und zeugen von Detailverliebtheit. Das Personal an der Rezeption ermöglichte einen späteren Check-out, was für Reisende mit straffem Zeitplan sehr hilfreich ist. Das Zimmer mit Seeblick hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Jeden Morgen durften wir die atemberaubende Berg- und Seenlandschaft genießen – die Aussicht war einfach malerisch. Das InterContinental zeichnet sich durch seine erstklassige Lage aus.
**Umgebung:** Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, die Aussicht erstklassig; man fühlt sich hier wirklich inmitten der Natur.
**Service:** Alle Mitarbeiter, denen wir im Hotel begegneten, waren stets höflich und äußerst zuvorkommend, was einen hervorragenden Eindruck hinterlassen hat.
**Ausstattung:** Die Ausstattung war sehr umfassend und durchdacht, was unseren Aufenthalt überaus angenehm und komfortabel gemacht hat.
**Hygiene:** Der Hygienestatus war sehr zufriedenstellend. Das Reinigungspersonal war äußerst fleißig, reagierte schnell auf Anfragen und bot einen ausgezeichneten Service. Vielen Dank dafür.
**Besonderer Dank an den Reisefotografen:** Ein besonderer Dank geht an den Reisefotografen. Obwohl es zum vereinbarten Termin stark regnete und wir die geplanten externen Sehenswürdigkeiten nicht besuchen konnten, war der Fotograf technisch sehr versiert und zeigte ein großes Engagement. Die entstandenen Aufnahmen sind äußerst zufriedenstellend. Herzlichen Dank!

GastnutzerIch besuchte mit der Familie und wir genossen wirklich unseren Aufenthalt. Wir buchten eine zweizimmer Villa und die Buchung kam mit vier kostenlosen Klassen: Teezeremonie, Sound-Badewanne, Wald-Wanderung und Yoga. Wir nahmen nur die Teezeremonie und Sound-Badewanne bei, aber wir genossen beide wirklich. Das Hotelrestaurant servierte für das Essen veganes Essen, so fanden wir ein Restaurant in der Nähe des Hotels, das Essen war gut und es war nur 5 Minuten Fahrt vom Hotel entfernt. Das Hotelzimmer selbst war geräumig und die Einrichtungen waren von guter Qualität. Das Bett war sehr komfortabel und wir alle hatten eine gute Nachtsleimhaut. Lage ist perfekt, wenn Sie fahren, aber ich denke, es wäre ein bisschen schwierig, mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen.

Das Zimmer war sehr zufriedenstellend, groß und elegant eingerichtet – eben ein Banyan Tree! Vor ein paar Jahren war ich im Banyan Tree Shanghai, zu einem ähnlichen Preis gab es dort nur den Blick auf den Bund. Die Größe des Zimmers, das raffinierte Ambiente und das Urlaubsgefühl in Xixi sind damit nicht zu vergleichen. Es gab zwei riesige Terrassen direkt am See. Die Enten und Fische hier sind schlau geworden, sie kommen gleich angeschwommen, um etwas zu fressen, wenn man sich nähert. Am Zimmer gab es nichts auszusetzen, meine Eltern hätten mich kaum gefunden. Das Badezimmer war auch sehr geräumig, allerdings mochte ich den Duft der Pflegeprodukte nicht so sehr, er war mir etwas zu süßlich. Das Hotelgelände ist sowohl tagsüber als auch nachts wunderschön und lohnt sich, genau erkundet zu werden. Man kann bis zur Ambassador Suite laufen und von dort aus zum Wasser gehen, es ist eigentlich auch ein Teil des Xixi Feuchtgebiets, wo man die wilde Seite des Feuchtgebiets sehen kann. Der Hotel-Buggy kann einen zum kostenlosen Teil des Xixi Feuchtgebiets außerhalb des Haupttors bringen, dann kann man selbst eine Runde drehen und das Hotel kontaktieren, um wieder abgeholt zu werden. Jeder im Hotel war sehr herzlich und aufmerksam.

RPSMWe had a very good stay at the Silk Commerce Clubhouse and greatly enjoyed our time in Wuzhen. The property is set slightly away from the busiest areas, which makes it peaceful and quiet. The quality of the clubhouse is exceptional—easily among the finest hotels I have stayed in worldwide. The architecture and design are a genuine work of art, spread across canals and connected by bridges. Rooms are extremely spacious, facilities are beautiful, and service is impeccable. The lounge is especially pleasant for tea or quiet activities. The included canal boat cruise and silk-related cultural activities (weaving, dyeing, appliqué) were highlights.
There are, however, two notable drawbacks. First, during winter the central climate system is locked to heating and cannot be adjusted per room. Our room was uncomfortably warm (around 24–25 °C), and the only solution was opening doors and windows to cool it manually. This is a significant comfort issue in an otherwise ultra-modern hotel. Second, due to low occupancy, breakfast was à la carte and exclusively Chinese. While well prepared, the lack of any Western breakfast options made it challenging for guests with simpler breakfast preferences.
Despite these issues, this is a remarkable property and an outstanding experience overall.

Our 管家 was 小陈 and he was such a cheerful and helpful young gentleman! He waited for us right at where we alighted and guide us straight into the attraction site, their service allowed us to bypass all the hassle such as buying tickets and checking in luggages, which other tourists have to go through. 小陈 gave us a really detailed tour of the whole town the moment we arrived in our hotel, which we really appreciate. Both the dinner and breakfast were fantastic, dinner was well priced as well. The stay was not the cheapest but definitely one of the best experience during our trip!

Dieses Mal übernachteten wir in einem Zweibettzimmer im Rammed Earth Cottage. Das Zimmer war geräumig und verfügte über einen großen Balkon, umgeben von üppigem Grün. Morgens das Fenster zu öffnen und ins Grüne zu blicken, war unglaublich erfrischend. Das Zimmer selbst ist ein freistehendes Gebäude und bietet viel Privatsphäre und einen ruhigen Schlaf. Es verfügt über eine Bar, einen kleinen Tisch, eine Badewanne und einen Duschkopf im Zimmer und auf dem Balkon. Ein kleiner Tipp wäre ein größerer Fernseher und ein größeres Bett.
Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Unser Butler war dieses Mal Xiao Tu, der prompt reagierte, geduldig meine Fragen beantwortete und mir die Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten des Tals vorstellte. Ich hatte sogar meine Wasserflasche während der Fahrt verloren, und er fand sie sogar auf einem Golfwagen für mich. Es war ein wahres Vergnügen!
Das Tal ist wunderschön und bietet viele Aktivitäten, die wir jedoch aufgrund unseres Zeitplans nicht genießen konnten, was etwas enttäuschend war. Man kann auch mit dem Shuttlebus zum atemberaubenden Naked Castle fahren. Sobald ich mehr Geld habe, werde ich auf jeden Fall einen Schlossaufenthalt buchen.
Die Restaurants im Tal waren alle sehr lecker. Kikaboni konnte ich leider nicht ausprobieren, Naked Taste hingegen schon. Ich bestellte ein Ribeye-Steak und ein Tomaten-Nudelgericht, beides war köstlich. Das Vorspeisenbrot wurde mit drei verschiedenen Soßen serviert, was ziemlich ungewöhnlich war, und jede einzelne war köstlich.
Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig, viel mehr als in den meisten Fünf-Sterne-Restaurants. Es gab einen leckeren weißen Schokoladen-Lolli, den Mochi-Kuchen und das Obst war süß, aber auch sonst war alles sehr gut.
Die Welpen in der Lobby waren so süß: ein Corgi und ein Dackel. Der Corgi hieß anscheinend Chuan Chuan. Sie hatten keine Angst vor Menschen und waren angenehm zu halten. Sie schienen sich kaum zu bewegen, lagen einfach nur da und sonnten sich auf einem großen Vollkornbrot.
Kurz gesagt: Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Es ist zwar etwas teuer, aber es lohnt sich! Ich komme beim nächsten Mal auf jeden Fall wieder.

Abdelrahman AlbuqaishIch habe in diesem Hotel seit drei Nächten verblieben und habe hier wirklich meine Zeit genossen. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und willkommen, und das Zimmer war schön und komfortabel. Das Hotel war wunderschön und sehr entspannt. Alles war perfekt, würde ich diesen Platz sicherlich mehr als fünf Sterne geben!

We recently stayed at Xianhua Sandalwood International Hotel during the national holiday in China, and overall, our experience was quite enjoyable. Here’s a breakdown of our stay:

**Check-In Experience:**
We arrived at Xianhua Sandalwood International Hotel and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff greeted us warmly and provided all the necessary information about our stay. However, the English was limited, but at least it was smooth and no hassles.
**Room Comfort:**
Our room was spacious and well-appointed. We appreciated the comfortable king sized bed, view, huge bathtub, cleanliness, and spaciousness. However, as a coffee lover, there was only one serving of coffee, so when we woke up the next morning I was quite upset that only myself was able to enjoy an early morning coffee. Nevertheless, it was perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
**Facilities:**
The hotel offered various facilities that enhanced our stay. We particularly enjoyed facilities like a fitness center, indoor pool, hot springs, table tennis and the pool table. The breakfast buffet was delightful, offering a mix of local and international cuisine.
**Service:**
The staff was exceptional. They were always available and eager to assist with any requests. Their friendly approach made our stay even more pleasant. The front desk manager Kang was super friendly and arranged for the coffee bar to open earlier the day we checked out.
**Room for Improvement:**
While our overall experience was positive, there were a couple of areas for improvement. We traveled with our 7 month old daughter and the noise and maintenance were quite unpleasant. However, these didn’t detract significantly from our enjoyment.
**Final Thoughts:**
This international hotel is just a few minutes' drive from the city, offering a serene escape with a beautiful exterior. Guests are welcomed by a picturesque fish pond, vibrant gardens, playful rabbits, and a designated play area for kids, making it an ideal family-friendly destination.
In addition to comfortable accommodations and expected amenities, the hotel provides a relaxing environment for guests of all ages.
Would we return? Absolutely!
