Zweifellos die Gastfreundschaft von Discovery Samal. Ich war in vielen Ländern und Resorthotels, aber nur Discovery Samal übertrifft meine Erwartungen. Jeder einzelne Mitarbeiter begrüßt Sie mit einem herzlichen Lächeln und bemüht sich nach besten Kräften, Sie zu bedienen. Vielen Dank an alle Mitarbeiter von Discovery Samal. Das Essen war köstlich, insbesondere das Buffet, und ihr Steak verdient 5 Sterne. Der Strand ist auch ziemlich cool mit bläulich-grünem Wasser, wir haben auch springende Fischschwärme gesehen. Eine Übernachtung ist nicht genug, da das gesamte Resort so riesig ist. Wir werden also bald wiederkommen. Und das Beste für mich ist die Happy Hour. Ich habe meine blauen Margaritas genossen und ich liebe die Live-Band in der Hari-Bar.

From the moment we arrived at Dusit Thani Residence Davao, we felt welcomed and well-taken care of. The lobby, though modest in size, exuded a calm charm and the check-in process was smooth. We were greeted warmly by staff who treated us with genuine hospitality — their attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. Many previous guests also praised the staff’s politeness and readiness to help.  We stayed in a studio apartment, and it was nothing short of comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, a coffee/tea maker, minibar, and free WiFi — extremely convenient whether you’re staying briefly or planning a longer stay.  The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness, indeed, stood out during our stay — a point frequently echoed by other guests.  One of the highlights was the leisure amenities. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe.  Breakfast and dining at the hotel also deserve special mention. The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying — a great way to start a busy day in Davao. For lunch or dinner, the on-site restaurant served a mix of Thai, Asian, international, and European dishes, giving a variety that could cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.  The presence of a café and even a pastry/deli option made it easy to grab a light meal or snack without leaving the property.  Location is another strong suit for Dusit Thani Residence. It’s conveniently located near the airport, which is a big plus if you have early flights or late arrivals.  At the same time, it’s still close enough to city amenities, shopping, and other attractions — offering both convenience and comfort. Many guests appreciated this balance of accessibility and tranquility.  That said, no stay is perfect, and a few aspects could be improved. Some guests mentioned that certain rooms felt a bit cramped or that balcony areas were under-utilized due to cleanliness concerns.  There were occasional gripes about maintenance — for example, shower drains draining slowly or small furniture quirks — and a few found the elevator access between towers a bit awkward, especially if coming from parking.  A minority even felt the place fell short of 5-star expectations in certain respects.  Still, for us, these were minor blemishes compared to the overall positive experience. What stood out was how the hotel blends comfort, convenience, and courteous service with enough extras to feel like more than just a “place to sleep.” The pool, spa, and kitchen-equipped rooms make it a strong choice for families, couples, business travellers — essentially anyone who values a balance of luxury and practicality. Danke Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort für einen solchen außergewöhnlichen und unvergesslichen Aufenthalt! Von den schönen Unterkünften bis zu den atemberaubenden Strandblicken war jeder Moment wirklich besondere und entspannend! Die Kinder hatten eine wunderbare Zeit, die Spaß und gut organisierte Kinder’ Aktivitäten genießen, so dass die Erfahrung noch mehr für unsere ganze Familie erinnerlich ist! Vor allem möchten wir den erstaunlichen Service des Personals, das so warm, aufmerksam und während unseres Aufenthalts untergebracht war, loben. Besondere Dank an Joshua Acta für die hervorragende Hilfe und Gastfreundschaft. Ihre Freundlichkeit und Devotion haben unseren Aufenthalt wirklich noch angenehmer gemacht. Wir freuen uns schon auf einen Besuch nochmal!

Ich wiederhole das Hotel und werde bei meiner nächsten Reise wiederkommen, ein ruhiges, zentral gelegenes Hotel mit guter Sauberkeit und Ausstattung, gelinde gesagt, es ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das ist kein Hindernis dafür, dass Ihr Aufenthalt sehr gut wird.

We had a really great experience at Pearl Farm Beach Resort. The service was excellent, and the transportation arrangement was smooth and well-organized. I definitely felt like I got what I paid for. The staff and crew were very accommodating, polite, and attentive throughout our stay. Whenever we needed something, they responded right away. I also appreciated how friendly everyone was, some of the crew even helped take our pictures, which made the experience more memorable. The food was also delicious, and we truly enjoyed it. I’m giving 4 stars for cleanliness because I noticed there was a bird’s nest in the Samal House we stayed in, and there were times when bird droppings were present in the area. I hope this can be improved for future guests. Overall, it was still a wonderful and relaxing stay, and kudos to the whole team for their hospitality and excellent customer service.

Die Lage ist gut. Direkt neben dem People's Park, wo die Einheimischen gerne spazieren gehen. Das Hotel ist zwar etwas älter, aber die Zimmer sind geräumig. Gleich nebenan befindet sich das sehr gute spanische Restaurant Wobbly Pan Spanish Bistro. Insgesamt hatte ich einen angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Wir hatten zwei Tage lang weder WLAN noch Fernsehempfang, und die Klimaanlage tropfte. Wir haben bereits mehrmals einen Techniker gerufen. Auch an der Rezeption konnten wir uns nicht helfen lassen, aber man sagte uns lediglich, dass es keinen Empfang gäbe. Das war sehr ärgerlich, da wir den bezahlten Komfort und Internetzugang nicht nutzen konnten. Ich hoffe, dass diese Bewertung dazu beiträgt, dass das Hotel künftig besser auf die Anliegen seiner Kunden eingeht.

I went with sister and friend. And we are please with service and location is in the center. The breakfast buffet was excellent, different variety every day. 24 hour front desk personnel and security are a plus. I recommend this hotel.

We arrived a bit late on our first night and were accommodated poorly. After a long day of travel, we encountered several issues with our room arrangements. I had booked two rooms, expecting them to be close to each other, but that was not the case. As a family travelling together, we requested to have our rooms swapped to be nearer, yet we were only allowed to add an extra bed. This was not ideal, especially since my mom couldn't stay alone in a room meant for 6 to 8 people, which I had already paid for. When I spoke to the front desk, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time, her tone was unpleasing and lacked empathy for us as guests. It was a disappointing negotiation. We also discussed issues with the internet connection, and she seemed unyielding, suggesting that nothing could be done except to pay for a data plan, for which they would provide a modem. Having stayed at many hotels and being a hotel manager, I can clearly say that our service was inadequate.

Das WLAN ist extrem langsam. Ich habe schon mehrmals angerufen, warum es so langsam ist, da ich arbeite. Ich habe zwar eine andere Verbindung bekommen, aber die ist leider auch viel zu langsam! Es gibt zwar eine Klimaanlage, aber die kühlt einfach nicht, egal wie man sie einstellt!
