Pros Great location for exploring Themal and provided you are not too high up, you shouldn't hear any road noise as it's set back. I was on the 4th floor and could hear the incessant beeping motorbikes but had moved from the first floor where i heard none (but was directly above the kitchen so could hear banging and chairs scraping from around 6am). 2nd floor is probably a good choice Staff were all excellent Room cleaned daily with 2 large bottles of water provided each day Breakfast was ok - decent variety of fruit, local and western with custom eggs. Coffee was instant though. Air con has heat facility No deposit required on check-in Toiletries provided Cons Some noise depending on your room location - dont stay in 107 or room directly above the kitchen/restaurant No safe for passport, cash etc in room Breakfast area isn't particularly clean i.e. dirty table cloths/mats Poor standard of fixtures/fittings e.g. gaps in windows and doors, curtains dont quite close right, dirty shower curtain, the rooms have seen better days but for the price its still good value. No coffee or milk in room (or 3-in one) No phone charging point near the bed Bathroom mat was old and dirty, no floor towel Tips: take extra passport photo if you intend to get a sim card at the airport, unlimited data one with nepal telecom cost me $10 - signal was mostly ok. Get your currency before you arrive or take enough to convert there, the atm machines are expensive Taxi from airport to Themal should be around 350 rupees working on 50 rupees per km plys 30 rupees start charge. You will be hounded relentlessly by people from the second you leave the plane for tour services etc. It may seem impolite but dont make eye contact, say no thank you and keep walking, otherwise you will spend your entire trip speaking to them. Right now its cold at night, pack accordingly. Be prepared to pay for everything, every temple, every place of historical interest - foreigners are charged around 1000-2000 rupees each time. E.g. all the Durbar squares, main stupas and temples. Don't assume that because Nepal is a developing country it is cheap. It isn't. In fact i found it comparable to some developed countries and not cheaper than say Thailand. A meal would cost me around 1000 rupees. In a smaller more local place you may pay 500. Don't take your new trainers, it's a very dirty, dusty city but exactly what you would expect if you've ever seen it on TV - it's all part of the experience. For exploring all of the main parts of Kathmandu, id say 5 days is a good amount of time. I recommend the everest helicopter tour but on that note i will say that tours are very expensive here, more expensive than even Hong Kong, Thailand, etc!! I ended up walking to the main temples, Chandragiri, Bakhtapur for the more local experience.

The best hotel in thamel. Great location, services and hospitality. Everyone at the hotel is helpful. Hot shower and water pressure is great. Even breakfast is the best. Highly recommend it.

Das ist mein zweites Hotel in Kathmandu und das vierte Hotel, das ich geblieben habe. Alles im Zimmer ist bis zu Marriott Standards: das Bett, das Badezimmer, alles war großartig. Aber die Klimaanlage im Buffet Frühstück ist wirklich schlecht, nach unserem Frühstück riechte ich wie ich den ganzen Tag in der Küche arbeitete. Ich bestellte einmal Zimmerservice; ihr Momo ist der schlimmste Momo jemand in Nepal finden konnte. Es ist überkocht und falsch erfahren, und der Dumping-Werbeschleuniger wurde gebrochen und überpreist. Glücklicherweise empfahl das Hotelpersonal einen anderen Momo-Ort, der 3 Minuten zu Fuß vom Marriott ist, zumindest habe ich einige gute Momos, bevor ich diese schöne Stadt verlassen. Ich kann nicht glauben, dass ich das viel auf ein Hotel in dieser Stadt verbracht. Es gibt viele schöne Hotels in der Stadt mit guter Service und Sauberkeit zu einem erschwinglicheren Preis. Ich empfehle diesen Ort, wenn Sie hohe Lebens- und Hygienestandards haben und keine kulturellen Dinge erwarten. Im Grunde fühlen Sie sich nicht wie Sie in Nepal, wenn Sie im Hotel sind.

Excellent choice. We had a great 3 night stay which became very convenient due to interconnecting rooms. Service was fast, walkable to Thamel, great food at Japanese K2SH and Kava restaurants. No complains except the actual room size is very small. Thanks to staff.

Das Hotel ist ideal für einen schönen Aufenthalt in Katmandu. Das sehr freundliche Personal machte unser perfektes Aufenthalt, immer mit einem Lächeln, vor allem unser Eikocher am Frühstück und Ram der Koch. Bei der Rezeption haben sie uns mit allen Bedenken und Empfehlungen vor Ort geholfen. Die sehr sauberen Zimmer mit allem was nötig ist, bis zu einem Kaffeehaus und sehr reichhaltigen Kuchen für den Kaffeebremsen, die jeden Tag wieder aufbereitet werden, haben uns sogar Saisonfrüchte getragen. Das Restaurant oben ist wie ein chill out mit guter Musik und sehr guter Speise. Ich habe dieses Hotel für die Bewertung auf den Reiseseiten ausgewählt und Wenn ER VERRICHT ist, ist die Bewertung sehr hoch für die gute Arbeit des Personals, sehr gut dekorierter Raum und das Zentrum.

Die Anlage ist etwas alt, die Wartung ist auch etwas scharf, die Frühstückssorte ist reichhaltig und schmeckt im Allgemeinen. Die Hotelumgebung ist sehr gut, es gibt viele kleine Tiere, die Hintertür kann in ein paar Minuten nach Boudha gehen, Schnee, Tourismus-Shopping ist sehr bequem, die Service-Personal sind sehr freundlich, der Arbeitsstil ist etwas willkürlich, der Tempo ist langsam, nicht ernst, aber das ist der allgemeine Stil hier, ich bin daran gewöhnt.

Dienst: Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und enthusiastisch! Es ist die Höhe, die viele fünf-Sterne-Hotels im Land nicht erreichen können! Einrichtungen: Halle, Restaurant ist sehr schön ～ Zimmeranlage ist etwa die ganze Saison. Die Landschaft außerhalb des Fensters ist großartig (siehe Video). Frühstück: Es ist noch reichhaltig, aber es ist auch in Südasien geschmackvoll. Wenn man einige chinesische Getränke hinzufügt, wäre es großartig. Das letzte Merkmal ist Buttermilch, versuchen Sie es.

This was one of the best hotels I stayed in Nepal. The pictures on the website do not do justice to this beautiful place.  initially we only booked for two nights however after seeing our room and their services we extended for the rest of our trip. Their service is phenomenal. Puja, Assmi, and Mukundra took great care of us. The food was so delicious there we ended up eating all of our meals at the hotel. The rooftop is beautiful and we enjoyed doing hookah there. If you are looking for a clean quiet environment, this is the best place to be. 

Hotel is in good location, staff was friendly who checked in us. I loved the room as they were quit big and comfortable, had an air conditioning in the room too. Shower facilities was good but could be better, plus point hot shower was available and bonus bath tub was available as well. Kettle was provided to us with drinking water, could be better if tea and coffee was available but staff was superb as they provided us with tea and coffee on request. Overall, it was excellent for me, in comparison to price, room sizes, location and friendliness of the staff. I even recommended my friend to stay as I was there.

Das Servicepersonal des Hotels war sehr höflich. Sobald sie das Hotel betraten, boten die Angestellten Hada an und hatten sofort das Gefühl, dass diese seltsame Stadt sehr nett war. Es war sehr sauber und hygienisch. Das Frühstück kann als Favorit bestellt werden, und dann ist es sehr delikat.

Fünf Tage vor dem Einchecken in Kathmandu sah ich die schmutzigen und unordentlichen Straßen. Ich war besorgt, dass die Hoteleinrichtungen nicht gut waren. Ich habe nicht eingecheckt, aber die Stornierungsfrist ist abgelaufen. Die Widerrufsfrist ist etwas zu kurz. Kann nicht ohne Bewertung einreichen, also Durchschnitt

Die Hotellandschaft ist perfekt, Sie können die Szene sparen und Sie können die Sonne sehen, und Sie können die Nacht übernachten. Es gibt einen Pool und ein Restaurant im Hotel und das Frühstück ist sehr groß. Es ist ein bisschen scharf auf der Straße, aber es kann akzeptiert werden.

Das ist das beste Hotel in Nagalcot, ich bin sehr zufrieden. Ich bin 30 Minuten früher als die Aufenthaltszeit, aber er antwortete wie es war. Außerdem ist das Zimmer kostenlos aktualisiert, ich kann in einem luxuriösen Zimmer leben! Der Unterschied zu meiner Vorstellung ist, dass der Pool sehr klein ist. We really enjoyed our stay here. The service is top-notch. Rooms are very clean and they provide all the necessary amenities. We loved the view from our room and on a clear day, you can see the Himalayas. Breakfast buffet was lovely and the staff are so attentive and quick. Dinner at the restaurant was on the pricier side. We ordered a cheese pizza that tasted very bland and had to send it back. The chef added more cheese on top and reheated the pizza which made it worse. However, the waiter was very nice enough to send the pizza back again and removed it from our bill. Apart from that, we would definitely recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return.

Der Kundenservice war zufriedenstellend, aber die Zimmer waren nicht sauber. Hatte einen seltsamen Geruch. Bettwäsche und Schranken waren auch geruchlich. Ich empfehle Ihnen, nach jeder Verwendung die Bettwäsche und Schrankenblatt zu ändern und ein Zimmer frischere Sprüh im Inneren zu halten. Die Morgenblicke vom Hotel waren absolut erstaunlich.
