Schöner Ort mit Peakkocks rund um. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt, aber das Waschzimmer war ein wenig ein Rückzug. Keine Duschegarten oder Duschekopf im Waschraum. Es gab einen Stand in der Dusche, aber leider hat unsere Dusche kein gutes Heizungssystem, so dass wir es nicht nutzen konnten. Waschräume müssen verbessert werden.

29/04/2025. Wir waren dreimal zum Cliffden Hotel und hatten ein Clubzimmer im ersten Stock sie waren schöne große Zimmer, aber dieses Mal waren wir im zweiten Stock unser Zimmer war sehr klein und klaustrophobisch nichts wie die Fotos in der Buchung. Wir baten um ein anderes Zimmer, und der Mann an der Rezeption sagte, ich sehe mich morgen früh und wenn es ein größeres Zimmer gibt, kannst du es haben. Später am Tag ging mein Partner zu der Rezeption, um einen Tisch für ein Abendessen für uns zu buchen. Während sie den Tisch buchen, sagte die Dame an der Rezeption, es gab keine anderen Zimmer, die Sie haben können. Der Barkeeper war sehr nett zu chatten. Wir hatten nur ein Essen am Abend Kabeljau und Chips konnten nicht viel Kabeljau finden, es war alles Schlag. Andere Speisesaal und Chips-Säulen würden gut, um Ihre Sonnen auf Ihre Schuhe zu reparieren. Gehen Sie zum lokalen Chip Shop absolut schön. Wir verwendeten den inneren Schwimmbad, der schön und sauber war. Die Gärten sind wunderschön, und das Bier ist sehr teuer. Gehen Sie zum schönen Segelhaus mit Getränken zu guten Preisen. Rezeption ist nicht sehr hilfreich. Ich verstehe nicht, warum das Hotel Menschen mit Hunden auf der zweiten Etage setzt, weil wenn der Hund zum WC gehen will, wenn Sie zum Eingang gehen, der Hund hat bereits auf den Teppich gepflückt. Glücklicherweise kann unser Hund ihre Pee halten und sie ist klein genug, um zu transportieren. Ich habe andere Menschen mit ihren Hunden verfolgt und sie gesehen. Insgesamt waren wir sehr enttäuscht über unseren Aufenthalt diese Zeit.

The hotel and area was fantastic, however, service at the front desk and the restaurant was lacking. We took a long weekend break and were excited to try the beach club, however our experience was dampened by the service. Being made to stand around for 5 minutes, whilst being told we hadn't paid (when we had) was unnecessary and frankly embarrassing. The restaurant was the most disappointing part of the stay. I'm the evening service was slow, followed by having our order wrong twice and also dropped. Breakfast at the restaurant was lacking compared to cheaper hotels that offer continental. Small selection , nothing outstanding. When we ordered a cooked breakfast, it took 30-40 minutes to receive some eggs and pancakes although the restaurant was fairly quiet. However, the room, facilities, and the spa were fantastic. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. The beach club outside was gorgeous. The spa was perfect and treatments were, to quote my partner, 'one of the best massages of my life'. We're unsure if we would come back. Although the facilities were great, the service was mostly subpar and not what we'd expect from a harbour hotel.

A simply Devine hotel with such historical charm  The charismatic entrance foyer draws you into this wonderful exquisite reception area We had the upmost pleasure in staying on New Years Eve  & were greeted with a lovely glass of free champagne in letting the New year in  They also had a really good modern band playing the finest of music in one of their opulent rooms  We would grant this very fine hotel a definite 5 Stars experience  Many thanks

We stayed for just one night. A much better experience than we had expected, given some of the recent reviews. The room was large and clean. The bathroom was also very clean and had a lovely,spacious walk-in shower. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Our only negative was that the car park was absolutely full when we arrived at 3:30pm … and the staff checking us in couldn’t have cared less!

Zwei Zimmer für einen Familienaufenthalt reserviert. Im heißesten Wochenende im Mai jemals verblieben! Ein Zimmer frischen das andere Kochen. Die Klimaanlage ist nicht so zuverlässig! Zimmer waren wieder verschieden. Obwohl ich die gleiche gewählte war geräumig und luftig die andere ein wenig mehr krammet Ich wurde gemeldet, dass es FROM 3pm war und wir nicht erlaubt wurden, bis 4.30 was unsere Pläne kompliziert. Das Frühstück ist gut, aber super besetzt. Nicht genug Personal, um die Nachfrage zu bewältigen. Es war schlecht für das Personal, das umgelaufen ist! Gut im Allgemeinen! Sehr guter Standort!

For a 4 star hotel this was very disappointing. Only 1 person on reception and a queue of people waiting to be checked in. A very tired hotel that has been not been well maintained. Our room was disappointing, a balcony we couldn't use, a double bed that felt like I was sliding out of it all night as the mattress was worn and had gone soft on my side of the bed, an uncomfortable toilet as the seat was too small for the toilet. Many other small things as well, we expected better.

The Palace Hotel was a delight to stay at. The rooms were warm, comfortable and clean. The staff were lovely and we were surprised to have evening entertainment. We went on a budget and were delighted with the hotel. Only thing to add was the bathroom was a bit dated and could do with a new set, I understand having orgional features is nice, however, I think new would be better. Also we were told breakfast would be £9.00 each on arrival, but when we went to pay it what a whopping £27.00 for a full English (1 of each item) amd some avocado and boiled egg on toast... of course we could have the continental... but it did make us cough a bit!! The service was great though. Overall great stay would recommend and return.

As usual with my frequent visit to this area I find Woodbury Park hotel has been my preferred place to stay. Staff are lovely kind and helpful. It’s a beautiful hotel satin a very picturesque location surrounded by pleasant scenery. Hotels and rooms are very clean and well attended to. Restaurant services are clean and impeccable. Credit goes to the chefs and the team who managed the service. I have had a pleasant breakfast service during my stay at Woodbury. I hope the staff and the team at Woodbury keep up the good work and encourage us to use them during my future trips to the area.

Fantastic view of the Exeter countryside from the halls of residence! Room Clean and tidy, buffet breakfast very good! Within walking distance of Exeter town centre, very convenient. Reception very helpful and an accommodating of extra things like hairdryer and fan, would defiantly recommend! Great Value!
