The activities are sold as packages, the most expensive being 400 RMB for 90–120 minutes. They are fun but short and tourist-oriented, still worthwhile if you’ve made the trip. You can also take a quiet stroll into the desert. On the downside, although the resort is marketed for stargazing, there is too much light pollution to see the stars. The Wi-Fi is unreliable, which matters since reception in the area is poor. Snacks are limited, and while a set menu is proposed, individual dishes can be requested, but no prices are displayed for these, which feels lacking in transparency. Cleanliness of the shared bathrooms was also disappointing, as they were not serviced often enough. Overall, while not perfect, the stay is still a unique experience. I recommend it for just one night, enough to enjoy the activities and the desert atmosphere!

My friend and I stayed at the campsite for two nights and had a wonderful time. We come from the United Kingdom and do not speak Chinese so there was a language barrier. However, despite this the staff were very helpful and patient, and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The location itself is very nice. The sand dunes are very impressive and fun to climb on. The food was lovely, especially the scrambled egg with tomatoes and cucumber salad. The campsite provides many fun activities. We particularly enjoyed the kareoke and the dice games we played with We Bon and the others. They also had other games for children which we enjoyed even though they are not designed for our age group😹. Altogether we would highly recommend staying at this place. Our only slight complaint would be concerning an external activity we did which was the go carting. We paid 80 yuan for one lap in the car which felt like a scam😹. So we would not recommend that activity. Another honourable mention would go to the taxi driver who was very lovely and showed around many activities with a lot of patience. Lastly we hope to have a rematch arm wrestle when we come back, and also that the younger guy finds love soon😂🫰🥰

Excellent and friendly service! Modern and clean hotel! We highly recommend this hotel. It’s modern and with spacious and clean rooms. And the staff is outstanding. We were very warmly welcomed by the staff and check in went super smooth. We got lots of information and it’s easy to communicate via the hotels WeChat. The staff didn’t speak so much English, but this was not any problem with translating apps and the translate function in WeChat. The staff felt us feel very welcome and they stood out as very professional and service minded. We have travelled a lot and the staff of Huanghe Xiyu hotel made a solid impression. The room was spacious and modern. It was very clean and nice. Good windows which could be opened. It also has mosquito nets. There were plenty water, a couple of complementary soft drinks and drip coffee and tea. Comfortable beds and several choices of pillows. The gym was also good. The breakfast was very good. Nice selections of diffferent items. Tasty and fresh. We enjoyed freshly made noodles and dumplings. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly and service minded too. Overall a very good experience which we do recommended.

Strategisch gelegen, sauber, geräumig und klangfreies Zimmer. Wir hatten eine komfortable zwei Nächte hier bleiben. Es gibt eine kleine Problematik mit dem heißen und kalten Wasser in der Dusche, aber es ist kein Problem mit uns. Obwohl das Hotel in den späten 90er Jahren gebaut scheint, funktioniert alles gut. Sie bieten auch selbstwäscheservices. Von dem Zeitpunkt an, an dem wir angemeldet wurden, waren die Vordertafel Dame und der Sicherheitsbeamte bis zum Zeitpunkt der Abfrage, alle waren so hilfreich und willkommen. Wir sind dankbar für ihre warme Gastfreundschaft. Gerade neben dem Hotel, zu links über die Straße gehen ist Wuzhongs berühmtesten Lamm-Auswaschsuppe. Es ist auch weniger als 10 Minuten von der Wuzhong-Bahnstation entfernt. Es wird sehr empfohlen, hier zu bleiben!

Lage: Groß, authentisches Gefühl der Wüste Aktivitäten: Kamelfahrten, 4 Radfahrer, Sandschleifen alle innerhalb Gehstrecke (separate Gebühren). Karaoke, Trampolin für Kinder, Feuerwerke (diese sind enthalten) machen die Erfahrung wunderbar. Personal: großartig Service. Auf Anrufe immer. Food: Frühstück mit FOC. Andere Mahlzeiten können im Restaurant zu einem angemessenen Preis bestellt werden. Geschmack und Geschmack sind gut. Bonus: Viele andere Familien hier haben also Kinder mit Partnern zu spielen. Wifi ist stark.

A very new hotel with larger-than-life rooms and beds that feel like apartments. The location is midway between Shapotou and Zhongwei City, so it may not be ideal for some looking for nightlife, but there are several inexpensive restaurants in walking distance, so it's easy enough to get food. The bus stop of number 2 going to the city and the sand dunes is 5 minutes walk away - just time it right because there's one bus per hour in each direction. There's Chinese-style breakfast included which may not be for everyone but it was filling. Definitely worth the money! Had a blissful rest here and would go back.
