I love this place so much that a part of me wants to gatekeep this hidden gem. Fanzhu梵住 is a beautifully curated boutique hotel that delivers outstanding hospitality. I initially booked a 5-day stay but loved it so much that I extended for an extra day, willingly sacrificing my next destination. I was initially worried the hotel might be a ”pretty façade.” Fortunately, Fanzhu met all my needs of functionality and comfort (Breakfast, Air Conditioning, an excellent shower, free self-service laundry, an ideal location). The property is far from perfection, but it overcompensates with simple, heartfelt sincerity. You can feel the tremendous thought and effort poured into this place to make guests feel comfortable. ✨ Highlights, Who Will Love This Place: ✅#English-Speaking Travellers: For foreigners unfamiliar with China, it is extremely helpful that the owner is fluent in English. ✅#Design & Aesthetics: Warm & modern. The property exudes zen-like comfort with charming decors. It has a gorgeous yard, with swimming pool, and ample outdoor seatings. ✅#Remote workers: I didn’t plan to work on this trip, but I could see myself working there remotely. If you come from the city where every building looks like a boxy Lego piece, you will deeply appreciate this place. ✅#Personalized Service: Kudos to the young lady boss! In a place like Wanfenglin where the location pins and 导航 can be vague to foreigners, sh took the time to understand my itinerary, how I planned my routes around Wanfenglin. She gave recommendations, and helped me check my “Destination” input on car hiring app. Airport and railway station pickups can also be arranged easily too. ✅#Immaculate Rooms: THE BED! Oh my, the bed! The linens, pillows, and towels are all premium quality. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash feel luxurious. The bed is so comfortable that I would return just for a sleep-in holiday. Ok I know I’m mentioning the bed twice but it’s worth mentioning thrice. Extra points from me that the rooms are non-smoking. ✅#Location: Before arriving, I read a review describing this place as ”a piece of tranquillity close to the action”. Now I get it. It sits as an independent building on a peaceful road/hill(?), yet it is a short, easy walk to the Bagua fields and Zhong Nahui, where you can find idyllic cafes, little shops, and children playing in the fields. ✅#Breakfast: Delicious local-flavoured noodles!They also offer more conservative standards like toasts, eggs, and coffee. Oh, the hotel has an ice machine! Ooooohh so sexy in the hot weather (apparently ice cubes are rare in Wanfenglin). ✅#The Resident Pets: As a pet lover who willingly pays to visit cat cafes, having resident dog and cats sealed the deal for me. ✅#BONUS TIP: The Rooftop Night Sky. Unassuming and rugged at first glance, I was initially unimpressed. But I heard good reviews from others, so I gave it another go, and am thankful I did! Stay awhile, allow your eyes some time to adjust in the darkness, and you would see the sky completely transforms. On my last night, I saw a shooting star! I kid you not. It was an absolutely unbelievable, unforgettable moment. Incredibly awesome! ⚠️ Considerations Before You Book (Who should avoid): - If you love standard chain hotels. Fanzhu is intimate enough to offer personalized service. But I can imagine some of my more pampered friends who prefer international breakfast buffet spread would struggle to settle for this simplicity. Some things are just not realistic expectations off a boutique. - Mobility needs: There is no elevator. They would graciously carry your suitcases. However, elderly may want to enquire about ground-floor room. - In the midst of nature: If you have zero tolerance for insects, you may want to skip staying in Wanfenglin. It is a humid, lush environment surrounded by fields and trees. Personally, with a body spray of insect repellent, I wasn't bothered at all. - Pet allergies: If you hate pets (but why would you? :( w

Me and my girlfriend got picked up at Congjiang train station which was very convenient. Right from the start the owners of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodation is located at the back of the village next to a field where they grow rapeseed flowers and rice during the year. For us the location was perfect as it is very peaceful and quiet but simultaneously litterally a few steps away from the beautiful vibrant little village. The room was very spacious and clean with a gorgeous view on the field. The interior is very well matched and has great facilities. There was even a small laundry machine so we could do some laundry ourselves. So far during our travels in China, this stay was the best we had! There is a very stylish and cute coffee/restaurant located on the first floor of the building. This is also where you will have a delicious breakfast and where Ni Li and her sister will greet you with a smile every time you walk by. Ni Li, her husband Tao Mingqing, her sister and brother played a crucial part during our stay as after the first night my wife got very sick due to an infection and barely left the room during our stay. The second night I got foodpoisoning which made the situation even worse. (Not from the hotel!). We ended up extending our stay due to her condition. Luckily Li's English is very good so that helped us a lot in navigating the medical difficulties. We were extremely lucky to be staying with Li and her family as they took care of us like we were their own family. Preparing custom meals and dinner tailored to our needs every single day, preparing us tea, calling the local doctors and translating and taking us to the local hospital back and forth multiple times. We were there during the Qingming festival so no cars were allowed in the village which made it more difficult to reach the hospital. This didn't stop Tao Mingqing as he took us to the local hospital several times on the motorbike, one by one! The last time I even forgot a bag and he even went back to get it for me! He truly is a legend. Fortunately, my recovery was fairly quickly so I had the chance to explore the village a little by myself and spend time with Li and Ming while staying close to the room for my girlfriend. On day 4 my girlfriend's fever was coming down and she improved a little. Li and Ming invited us to have tea with them. Ming showed me his vast collection of tea and made sure to prepare the best tea suitable for our condition. The tea was truly amazing and he ended up filling a big bag with different kinds of teas as a gift for us! And that was not it, to make sure we would never forget them and drink tea mindfully the Chinese way when we're back home, they gave us the tea cups we used traditionally decorated with the blue dragon and phoenix. It was a very stressful situation and when we felt at our most fragile, they were there to take care of us, strangers they just met. This says everything about these wonderful people. Even though the illness of my girlfriend and the rough situation, we think back to our stay with a very warm hearth as our special experience forged a bond we'll never forget. We are incredibly lucky to have met Li and her family. We have said thank you to them 100s of times already, but I can't express enough how grateful I am for this people. Als Urlaubshotel ist es immer noch relativ zufrieden. Aber auch die Zimmertypen. Der Preis der festgelegten Standards ist zu niedrig. Zusätzlich zu den Geldern ist das Zimmer insgesamt zufrieden. Das Frühstück ist abgeschlossen. Obwohl die Art der Paketzusammenstellung ein bisschen monoton ist, wird es gegessen, wenn Sie mehr leben. Die Silber-Ohrensuppe ist großartig! Darüber hinaus ist die Badewanne sehr warm und die Umgebung ist schön.

Zum ersten Mal kam ich in Xiang, weil das Lesen einen guten Eindruck hinterließ. Zunächst ist die Service-Einstellung sehr gut, dann ist das Frühstück sehr lecker! Die Lage im Zimmer ist sehr gut und sieht die Landschaft von fast ganzen Xiang-Millions. Obwohl es zwei Tage regnet, hat es Gäste, die den Regen zu trinken und den Regen zu sehen, und es ist sehr freundlich. Dies ist ein sehr komfortables und stilvolles Gästehaus. Vom Zimmerfenster aus hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf die sanften Hügel. Die beiden jungen Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption, beide mit dem Nachnamen Dai, waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und unterstützten uns gerne bei allen Fragen und der Planung unserer Ausflüge. Sie organisierten für uns die Anmietung von Elektrorollern und gaben uns freundlicherweise Tipps zu Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants in der Umgebung. Sie halfen uns sogar, einen Ausflug zum Huangguoshu-Wasserfall zu finden. Einer der jüngsten Mitarbeiter, der keine Brille trug, brachte mir sogar bei, wie man Batik macht. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und lecker; jeden Morgen fragte mich der Koch, Xiao Wu, freundlich nach meinen Essenswünschen. Das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel, sehr sauber und wunderschön eingerichtet, insbesondere die Batik-Dekorationen und -Vorhänge. Der Service war durchweg exzellent. Absolut empfehlenswert. Dieses Gästehaus ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Zimmer bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf die Wangfenglin-Bergkette und ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sauber und komfortabel. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption (beide Xiao Dai) waren sehr hilfsbereit und unterstützten uns bei der Organisation unserer Reise, des Transports usw. Die Lage ist auch ideal, um andere Sehenswürdigkeiten, Geschäfte und Restaurants zu besuchen. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Jeden Morgen begrüßte mich der Koch Xiao Wu, fragte nach meinen Wünschen und brachte mir das Frühstück. Man konnte es im schönen Speisesaal im hinteren Bereich oder auf der Veranda im Garten genießen.

Der ganze Ort riechte frisch und sauber, was die Erfahrung noch angenehmer machte. Ausstattung ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Die Aussichten dieses Hotels sind absolut atemberaubend! Wir könnten eine wunderschöne Landschaft aus dem Schlafzimmer, Bad und Schwimmbadbereich genießen. Der Pool selbst ist groß, sauber und schön gestaltet. Die Außenflächen sind wirklich erstaunlich umgeben von der Natur, es fühlt sich an, als würden Sie in der Mitte eines friedlichen Waldes bleiben. Personal ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich, willkommen und sehr bequem überall im Aufenthalt. Sie gingen aus dem Weg, um uns komfortable zu machen und halfen uns sogar, unsere Taschen zu tragen, was sehr geschätzt wurde. Lebensmittel ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) Das Essen war ok, aber die Geschmack war ein wenig schwach für unseren Geschmack. Die Frühstücksauswahl ist auch ziemlich begrenzt, aber es war noch genug, um den Tag zu beginnen. Es gibt nicht viele Alternativen zum Abnehmen in der Nähe, so es ist es wert, daran zu denken, wenn Sie Ihre Mahlzeiten planen. Pet Friendly 🐾 Ein großer Bonus ist, dass das Hotel Haustiere freundlich ist! Das hat unseren Aufenthalt noch besser gemacht, da es nicht immer einfach ist, schöne Orte zu finden, die Haustiere willkommen. Gesamt ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel für Ihre nächste Gebühren. Wir gingen nachts aus, um die nahe gelegene alte Stadt zu besuchen, aber ehrlich gesagt, nächstes Mal würden wir lieber mehr Zeit verbringen, das Hotel selbst zu genießen. Die friedliche Atmosphäre, unglaubliche Aussichten und entspannende Umgebung machen es einen Ort, der sich würdig und wirklich entspannt.

Große Lage, Gemütliches Aufenthaltsverhältnis Das Gasthaus ist gut gelegen, wohingegen die Haupttouristen noch in einem Spaziergang entfernt sind, bietet eine ruhige und gemütliche Atmosphäre. Die Gesamterfahrung war zufriedenstellend, obwohl die Wartung verbessert werden könnte. Eine gute Wahl für diejenigen, die einen friedlichen Aufenthalt in der Nähe des Dorfes suchen.

Jedes Jahr um diese Zeit reise ich mit meiner Familie für ein bis zwei Monate und schreibe selten Bewertungen. Doch dieses Mal hat mich die Pension in dieser Preisklasse wirklich begeistert. Die Zimmerfotos entsprachen genau den Online-Bildern: Das Zimmer war geräumig, hell und sauber, und die Betten waren bequem, inklusive hochwertiger Einwegartikel. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich zahlreiche Restaurants, Imbisse und Supermärkte, was das tägliche Einkaufen und Essen sehr komfortabel macht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Haushälterin Zhan Zhan, die sehr herzlich und aufmerksam war und alle Fragen schnell und geduldig beantwortete. Ihre Liste mit selbstgemachten Gerichten war ebenfalls hervorragend – köstlich und preiswert! Sollte ich wieder nach Guiyang reisen, ist diese Pension definitiv meine erste Wahl.
