The hotel was okay, it met standards but there were many small things that made our stay feel less perfect. Upon check in the room was very spacious for a double queen bed room, and bathroom spacious as well. The amenities are lacking a bit, in the bathroom it was just minimal 1 makeup remover wipe and a shower cap and hand soap. It comes with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash but our conditioner was out and stayed empty for 2 days (as I thought the cleaners might notice and refill), until I requested front desk to refill it. In terms of cleanliness some of the towels had some minor stains and the bathroom had rust and brown stains in the bathtub so it didn’t feel super clean. The worst part was that when I entered the hotel the sheets were soooooo pilly and rough, they didn’t feel soft and welcoming as a hotel should have. Those sheets should’ve been thrown out years ago, I wouldn’t even keep sheets like that at my own house they were so worn down, bumpy, and uncomfortable, I asked front desk the next morning if I could please have them changed and got a very sassy and rude response that “usually requests like this should come in before 9AM and it’s not guaranteed that they can be changed” (I requested this around 10AM before the cleaners had even appeared on my floor). I found this response extremely off putting and inhospitable, since it’s not like I caused the sheets to be rough and uncomfortable and was simply making a request to make my stay better and more comfortable, and I also requested it very kindly and didn’t rush them to do anything- just by end of day or the next day so I wouldn’t have to sleep on rough uncomfortable sheets the entire 5 days I was there. They ended up changing them but I didn’t appreciate that kind of reply. 2 days after, the cleaners left their dirty rags, some random extra pillowcases on random surfaces by my personal items on the desk and night side table, It was very careless and unprofessional and who knows where the dirty rags have been, and where those random pillowcases came from if they were clean or not, next to my personal items. They also didn’t finish cleaning the bathroom and there were missing towels and didn’t finish taking the dirty towels out. Moving on, the location was okay but one of the farther hotels from the Zion National Park entrance in the town, I did like the pool and the restaurants nearby. Lastly, for the complimentary breakfast it was basic but good and I appreciated having that every morning before we left for our adventures.

This was our first stay here and will keep it in mind as a more affordable option in the SLC Downtown space. In general, this is an older property that has the basics of a good place to stay. The rooms were clean and had a the larger ”dorm fridge” and a microwave. The beds/bedding were VERY comfortable. Parking is free and they do allow pets for a $25 fee. (NOTE: The Trip.com site says that pets are not allowed.) The location is very good, with walking-distance access to alot of restaurants, bars, entertainment, shopping, etc. We took a $7+ Uber to/from The State Room, which is only 1/2 mile away because I just had my hip replaced. Would normally have walked. What they could do better: While they have some beautiful plants on the property, they could spruce it up a bit with some paint and deep cleaning of the concrete walkways. The lobby/front desk reminds me of a motel in a seedy location. The front desk person is behind an enclosed Plexi-Glass structure and the lobby is not somewhere to gather, as it is not kept very clean. They do not serve food at all, due to COVID-era decisions (see picture), and the presence of junk food vending machines shows that they are not concerned with that decision and will continue that non-service going forward. (TIP: Go next door to The Red Beryl restaurant in the Doubletree. Excellent food, service, and prices!) Maybe if the front desk person offered a list of nearby eating establishments to guests when they check-in, this would be a non-issue. The only room challenge was that the blackout shade roller was non-operational, requiring a more manual approach with it to cover the window. As with a lot of hotels, they charge a $100 deposit that is given back when you check out. If you use a card, that's 3-5 business days. If you use cash, it's returned immediately after they perform a cursory room look-see. The staff that served us was not pleasant or unpleasant; pretty much a business attitude.

Great Breakfast and Friendly Staff, but Poor Communication on Facilities I have mixed feelings about my 3-night stay. While there were some high points, the handling of basic facilities and staff communication led me to give a 3-star rating. The stay started strong with Jill at check-in, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I also really enjoyed the free daily breakfast. it was delicious, and having a machine for freshly ground and brewed coffee was a major plus. The room itself was comfortable, though I did have some technical trouble trying to cast from my phone to the TV. My main issue was the laundry situation. Upon arrival, I was told the machines were out of order and directed to a local laundromat (a 5-minute drive). Unfortunately, that laundromat was constantly full and a total waste of time. What frustrated me most was seeing other guests using the hotel’s ”broken” machines. When I called to clarify, the staff member was quite dismissive, insisting there was an ”out of order” sign on the door. I was staying literally next door to the laundry room and can confirm there was no sign there for three days. A handwritten note only appeared the next morning after my complaint. Being told I was wrong when the evidence was right in front of me was very disappointing. I also noticed that access to the breakfast area seemed uncontrolled. It felt like anyone could walk in off the street and eat, which raised some questions about guest-only security and value. Overall: A decent place to sleep with a good breakfast, but the management needs to work on honest communication and facility maintenance.

And that’s how I ended up at AutoCamp Zion, just about a 20-minute drive from Zion National Park in Utah. Let me tell you, this is not your average campsite. I stayed in one of their signature Airstream Suites, those shiny aluminum trailers that have become AutoCamp’s trademark. When I first stepped inside, I was honestly impressed — it’s minimalist, modern, and warm at the same time. The big window opens up to a stunning view of Utah’s red mountains — a sight that instantly makes you slow down and breathe. The highlight? Nighttime. 🌌 Each suite comes with its own fire pit. My friend and I sat outside roasting marshmallows, sipping wine, and watching the stars slowly fill the sky. It was quiet, magical, and so peaceful — the kind of night you wish could last forever. In the morning, we walked to the cozy lobby café, where they offer coffee, granola, and yogurt — simple but perfect. The whole space feels like a little community of travelers who love nature and good design. If you’ve been dreaming about reconnecting with nature without sacrificing comfort, AutoCamp Zion is the perfect place. 🌿 It’s peaceful, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed to make you feel grounded, inspired, and completely at ease.

Das Hotel um 10 Uhr sagte, dass es nicht schnell aus dem Arbeitsplatz kommt. Also geben Sie dem Huhn in der Supermarkt Südamerika, dann ist es gut, dass Battlefield Huhn in dem kleinen Supermarkt gegessen wird. Dies war ein schönes, sauberes Hotel mit einer leicht zugänglichen Parkgarage und sehr leicht zu finden?

Pleasantly surprised at how nice everything was at the hotel. Checking was quick and friendly. I was given a delicious chocolate chip and walnut cookie after checking in. My room was quiet, clean, large, with a very comfortable queen bed, and a nice easy chair. Their airport shuttle also was available at 4 am, when I needed it. I will definitely stay again when I need to stay overnight near the airport.

The check in was appalling. The receptionist must’ve taken classes in ‘couldn’t care’. Shame we interrupted whatever it was that was more important than providing a civil welcome to a couple of guests. In contrast the breakfast and room cleaning staff were on a different level - brilliant service and friendly. Sadly it’s the first impression that lasts - and being made to feel as though you’re a total inconvenience when you arrive is utterly crap.

Insgesamt macht das Hotel einen sehr schönen und sauberen Eindruck. Allerdings gibt es deutliche Schwächen in der kaufmännischen Abwicklung. Ich habe das Zimmer über Ihre Plattform gebucht und bezahlt. Nach Abschluss der Buchung erhielt ich eine E-Mail mit der Aufforderung, online einzuchecken. Im Rahmen des Check-in-Prozesses habe ich meine Kreditkartendaten angegeben. Direkt nach dem Online-Check-in wurde meine Kreditkarte mit einem Betrag von ca. 180,00 € belastet. Dieses Vorgehen erschien mir zunächst ungewöhnlich, da das Zimmer bereits bezahlt war und das Hotel meine Kartendaten bereits kannte. Nach dem Check-in im Hotel wurde eine weitere Buchung in Höhe von 162,27 € von meiner Karte abgebucht. Ich informierte die Hotelrezeption darüber und man versicherte mir, dass diese beiden reservierten Beträge nach dem Check-out freigegeben würden. Der erste reservierte Betrag wurde einige Tage nach dem Check-out freigegeben, der zweite jedoch nicht. Am 26. August 2024 wurde meine Karte mit 80,93 € belastet und am selben Tag wieder mit 80,43 € gutgeschrieben. Das Ergebnis ist, dass meine Karte heute, elf Tage nach dem Check-out, immer noch mit einer Reservierung von ca. 180,00 $ belastet wird. Ich bin über dieses Verhalten überrascht und habe das Hotel gebeten, die Gründe für die Belastung meiner Karte zu erläutern. Ich habe mich bereits bei Wyndham beschwert und das Hotel gebeten, dafür zu sorgen, dass der noch auf meiner Karte reservierte Betrag nun schnell freigegeben wird.
