The front staff were not friendly, and there was very little warmth or hospitality. Even though our room was already ready, they were very strict about only allowing check-in after 3pm, which made things inconvenient—especially for families travelling with children or elderly. 🏨 Room Condition The hotel is quite old, and it shows. • The room had a noticeable old smell when we entered. • The toilet wasn’t very clean, and water leaked out into the room area, which was uncomfortable and unsafe for kids. • Overall, the upkeep and cleanliness were not at the standard we expected. 🏊 Facilities We went to the pool area but found no staff at the pool counter, which made it difficult to request towels or assistance. The pool area itself is decent, but the lack of staff presence made it feel unmanaged. 📍 Location The hotel is in a convenient central area, close to malls and food outlets, which is the main positive point. ⸻ ⭐ Overall Rating: 2.8/5 Aryaduta Pekanbaru has potential because of its location and brand, but the hospitality, cleanliness, and maintenance need significant improvement. "The only negative point is that the aircond outlet piping leaked and flooded the floor for the past 3 nights, though i have complained it to the cleaner to call the maintenance / technical guy to solve the leaking problem."

"Overall, the hotel in Pekanbaru is quite cheap and offers good value for money. The room itself was comfortable and generally well maintained. The only downside I noticed was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, which might be due to the cleaning not being done thoroughly or possibly an issue with the plumbing Breakfast was fairly standard, nothing fancy, but still decent and enjoyable. One highlight was the reception staf… they were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful throughout the stay, which made a positive difference. Another convenience is the location: right next to the hotel there is an Indomaret and a coffee shop, making it easy to grab daily necessities or a quick drink. However, you should be careful when crossing the road in front of the hotel, as traffic can be quite busy"
