We had a great experience at this hotel! The welcome cookie was delicious and just what we needed after a long drive down from London. We were celebrating our anniversary, and they surprised us with some towel art and cake! The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet had great variety and a beautiful view.
Only comments would be the lack of complementary water and mini-fridge the room. The AC took a while to become cold, but it got there eventually.
Overall, we had a great trip and don’t regret picking this hotel!

Loved our stay at Leonardo! The room was clean and quiet, they cleaned the room every day, the hotel is so close to the railway station. We had absolutely no complaints. Upon our early arrival, Mihai was so kind and friendly and made us feel welcome. The entire staff was so helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back. Thank you!

Used this as a convenient stay over to attend a function locally. It was much better than expected. We were able to use the swimming pool and sauna before we went out. We had a lunch in the bar which was reasonably priced and good quality. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really nice and hot, great selection fruit yoghurt cereal and full English with tea and coffee.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im View Hotel absolut genossen, alle Angestellten waren sehr höflich und freundlich. Unser Zimmer war schön und die Aussicht war einfach perfekt. Dies war ein spontaner Aufenthalt, mit der Landschaft und dem Rauschen der Wellen, die ich wirklich nicht verlassen wollte. Das Hotel war sauber und wir hatten alles, was wir brauchten, im Zimmer. Das Bett war sehr bequem und wir hatten einen fantastischen Schlaf. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder mit unseren Kindern hier übernachten, wenn wir das nächste Mal unsere Familie besuchen.

Came over a little queer while away rang emergency services for help, that was last week ha ha. Apart from that just look after yourself always knowing your on holiday. Grin and bear it. Only here once I'm told. Couldn't fault the place, I tried but couldn't. Ps better than NHS food any day of the Milena. Keep up the good work. Pps if you don't agree don't read then.

Pretty hotel in a great location. The hotel is a few minutes and just a short walk from restaurants and pubs on the High Street. Rye is quite a compact town. Our room overlooked the car park at the back of the hotel. Not the best view but the room (deluxe double) was spacious. Breakfast was cooked to order and they were able to accommodate a coeliac diet (gluten free options). I would however recommend they keep a separate toaster at the back for gluten free bread only. They were able to provide gf bread for me but couldn’t toast it.

Hotel definitely needs refurbishing and cleaning, though our room was very spacious (and the bathroom), there were not enough of plugs, TV was old, water pressure was quite weak and water was burning hot, cleaning was poor (floor must be hoovered and not only before the guests arrive).
Parking is a problem at the moment, we had to park on Trinity Road after all (not too close, but convenient, 7 pounds a day). Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice and tasty, many dishes to choose from. Location is fantastic, long walks at the sea side are amazing!

GGastnutzerBusy pub, limited menu, good access on foot to town centre, a large pay and display parking lot over the road, also on-street parking (difficult). Parking lot has disabled places, with other spaces charged on a pay and display basis. We had contacted The Dorset for advice regarding parking, specifically the availability of nearby blue badge permit parking. We received one line that 'the last time they looked there was parking'. Rooms are upstairs, our room as far away as possible, off a small dark hall. Motion-triggered lighting, albeit delayed, in other hall and corridors. I am surprised Health & Safety did not require a stair handrail to be fitted to stairs en route. Our room was small but adequate, a low, small double bed being the only place to sit. The furniture, of inferior quality, not durable, the rail inside the wardrobe, with a motley array of coat-hangers, detaches very easily. One low-wattage bulb in a low and small lamp on the cabinet on the far side of the bed. Tea/coffee was provided, also biscuits. bottled water and a kettle (not empty). The Lazza coffee maker is slightly incongruous, taking up, along with the small tv, most of a small desk. We put the machine underneath. Our view was an adjacent part of the building. The curtains, one of which was inside out, were kept closed by securing the bottom window on the hem.Heating was inadequate, the windows and the door both need insulation. Bathroom has all basics but no towel rail.Hand towels and bath mat, had to be draped on a small radiator by the w.c. Bath towels were not replaced, nowhere to hang or dry them. The basin was big and deep. It would be useful to have a plug. There was no plug at all, merely a hole into the unknown. The shower worked adequately, despite the broken hose. Drain was blocked, water drained extremely slowly, flood threatened. Hook was missing from bathroom door. Upon arrival, we said we would be eating in the pub that evening but we went downstairs at 7pm to be told the kitchen was closed for a private party. Self-service continental breakfast was adequate - choice of cereal, croissants, blueberry muffins, jam, various teas, orange juice, yoghurts, fruit (pear, clementine, one apple). We were the first down and the random, inadequate supply of cutlery (two cereal spoons, one knife,16 large forks and teaspoons), was unwelcoming, as was an almost empty milk jug. We were greeted pleasantly but immediately asked if we wanted toast. Very nice toasted bread it was, too but should be offered during the cereal course. Pats of butter supplied with the toast were enough, just, for the toast but none for either a croissant or a muffin. No offers of more toast. Choice of jams was limited, most being packets of blackcurrant or raspberry, two packets of marmite, several of strawberry and two packets of thin-shred marmalade. That was morning 1. Morning 2, the choice was diminished by the previous day's consumption so no marmalade at all. Had we been staying longer, by day 4 we would have been down to a couple of packets of blackcurrant jam only. Our second morning was Saturday. The notice in our room said weekend breakfast was served 8.30-10.00; we marked time in our room, at the appointed hour going down, to be told that the room notice was incorrect, should have been replaced a couple of weeks ago, with breakfast 9.00-10.00. The breakfast girl was pleasantly apologetic, if off-hand, and eventually, breakfast was put out. This hotel is badly let down by its lack of attention to detail. It is clean, safe, the staff pleasant, but off-hand, not customer-oriented, room guests feel unwelcome. The rooms are all above the public areas, noisy during opening times but quiet when bar is closed. Our stay was okay but the lack of attention to detail/maintenance was irritating, distracting from what was to have been a relaxed visit. If there was a viable alternative, we would not stay there again..

GGastnutzerStaff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming.nice quiet hotel.has it's own car park but only a handful of spaces.the spaces are packed so close together that you can barely get your door open let alone get out of the car.we were told to reverse into space but then had no room to open boot to get luggage out.plus you pay extra to park but you can come and go as you please if you can get back in your car.nice idea and cheaper than car parks but literally no room to maneover car.hotel room was clean,neat& tidy but very dated.bathroom looked shabby and needs an update but was clean.could hear music, snoring from man in next room.picked a Seaview room which was lovely,however next morning windows had so much condensation we couldn't see out..only open a couple of inches too.need a squeegee to wipe windows.unfortunately despite the comfy bed I didn't sleep great as being on seafront traffic was non stop all night.however I loved the hotel and would stay again.breakfast we were given a time slot for and the food was very nice.very well situated right near the i360 tower which is well worth a visit

GGastnutzerWir haben beschlossen, in The Grand als 3-Nacht-Getaway zu bleiben, da mein Partner derzeit schwanger ist. Der Service von der Ankunft bis zum Abreise war erstklassig, und das Hotel war schön.
Unser Zimmer (das wir aufgebaut haben, um einen Meerblick zu haben) wurde neu renoviert, mit einem kostenlosen Bad, Sofa, Kaffeetisch und zwei Röhrchen. Das Badezimmer umfasste eine geräumige Dusche und seine Tauchen.
Alles war unspottbar. Ich würde es niemandem empfehlen.

GGastnutzerDanke für einen schönen Aufenthalt war die Lage des Hotels für uns großartig. Bei der Nähe zum Beginn des Strandhochschiffsrennens und dann der Strand und der Pier war genau das, was wir brauchten. Die Parkausweise waren hilfreich und wir hatten keine Probleme mit diesem.
Ich würde sagen, dass das Deluxe Zimmer reserviert wurde, es war alles groß für das, was wir brauchten, das Zimmer könnte mit irgendwo anziehen, um ein paar Coats auf Kleidung hängen, ein Spiegel im Zimmer selbst wäre auch ein großer Touch.
Einige Nebenwirkungen waren die Gürtel nicht die Fenster geeignet und das Zimmer war sehr heiß, auch mit der Heizung und dem Radiator aus.
Alles in allem ein großer Aufenthalt und wir würden wieder kommen, das Personal war sehr hilfreich

AAJ MamarilPros: This hotel is a stone throw away from the beach and commercial areas. Clean rooms and facility. I like the spa facility because they have gym, pool, steam room, and sauna. It’s very relaxing. Our breakfast is the highlight of our stay. Lots of food choices with a view of the beach and Brighton pier. Staff are friendly and accomodating. I like the online checkout, it’s a time saver.
Cons: I am disappointed because I booked a superior room with sea view but they gave me a partial sea view instead. Didn’t bother to ask because I was very exhausted after a long trip. Our bathroom has a rusty shower head and bath drainage. Didn’t managed to go to the sauna because it’s jampacked.
Overall, good experience.

GGastnutzerThe property is very convenient for National Trust visits, and onsite parking behind the premises is very convenient. Check in until 10pm is handy too as we arrived at 21:59 due to traffic conditions. I already knew that if we were in the attic that our room would likely be sub-par. We were, and it was. The attic landing is musty, doors and ceilings very low, very much feeling like servants quarters. the hotel management are making an effort with redecoration, but this cannot hide the fact that fixtures and fittings need replacing too. Water pressure is so low in the attic that showering is impossible, so set the bath running ahead of time if you want to be clean. My booking showed a photo of a four-poster bed - nope, a double pushed up against the wall for no apparent reason is what we had in a room big enough to be laid out better. We paid under £45 on this occasion, and at that price would stay again. The Italian Restaurant on the ground floor serves breakfast nice and early. To check out, simply drop your key in the box outside the building.

GGastnutzerWir wurden aus dem Albtraum des „Amherst Hotel“ in dieses Hotel verlegt. Die Zimmer waren geräumig und sauber und das Personal war freundlich. Eines Abends sahen wir in der Bar unten eine kostenlose Drag-Show. Das einzig Ärgerliche war, dass die Zimmerkartenschlüssel immer wieder nicht funktionierten, was sehr ärgerlich war. LGBT-freundlich.
