Das Hotel ist sauber und teuer. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und willkommen. Das Hotel ist nahe der Einrichtungen. Große Restaurants und pubs/Clubs. Carlisle ist ein toller Ort für einen Abend oder Wochenende entfernt.

A bit remote from the Hawkshead bus station(25 minutes walk), enjoyed the view on the way though. Limited sockets in the room. Great kitchen and dining room. Helpful and warm staff.

Booked in for 1 night to have a rest in some luxurious surroundings after a lot of travelling around the country visiting friends. Hunday Manor is a beautiful old house in a fantastic spot on the side of a hill with a great view. The hotel is very well appointed and the rooms are well looked after. The quality of the food for both an evening meal and the cooked-to-order breakfast was excellent. Perhaps the only facility I would add is a few overnight EV charge points in the car park. The service however was rather comical, starting with check-in. After confirming my name, 1 night stay, and printing out the reservation sheet, somehow the chap on reception muddled up my solo reservation with a couple arriving on the same day who were staying for a couple of weeks and gave me their room. After settling in for a much needed afternoon nap in the very comfortable bed and 'locking' the door on the inside, the rather startled couple walked in having been given a card for the same room. From that point on I never really managed to relax. I offered to move room when I went down for dinner later on, but the chap declined and mumbled something odd about the length of stay and seemed to point at the paperwork suggesting I had signed it making it my mistake! Sigh. Things didn't get a lot better in the restaurant. Myself and another solo traveller were given tables at the back (by the same chap), seemingly to keep us out the way of the couples who arrived later and were seated at the windows. When either of us asked questions about the menu there was lack of understanding about the dishes.. I was then asked around half a dozen times by multiple staff if everything was ok. Meanwhile I could hear one of the couples quitely chatting about their room, no doubt the room I was in. Upon trying to put the bill on my room, the same chap from earlier left me at the bar with a card machine asking whether I wanted to add a tip. At breakfast the next morning it continued. When I arrived the first breakfast room was full of tables needing clearing so I was given a table in the same area where I had dinner. This time given a table at the window but right in front of the only other guest, a lady already eating her breakfast. My table wasn't set so inexplicably the waiter clumsily took a second place-setting from her table while she was midway through eating! After dusting a few crumbs from one of the plates I enjoyed my breakfast. Towards the end of eating the staff were discussing how to rearrange the room for an event later in the day and started moving things around. After hearing the same couple from dinner asking to be told when their room was made available, cleaners were hanging around at the bottom of the stairs when I returned to the room. Nothing like a bit of a hurry up to finish breakfast and get out of your room to make you feel like a valued guest. Upon check-out an apology and a chat but by then the damage was done. No offer to comp a drink (or dinne)r after making a mess of things either. It's a lovely hotel that could offer a real 5-star experience, but the service ended up more like an episode of Fawlty Towers and needs a bit of a rethink. Next stop China.

Die Service-Personal-Einstellung ist sehr freundlich, es gibt ein reichhaltiges und leckeres Frühstück, das man sich vorbehalten kann. Es ist nur eine kleine Entfernung für die Fußgänger, und das WLAN im Zimmer ist nicht schlecht, ich hoffe, es wird verbessert, die anderen sind sehr gut, insbesondere das Zimmer ist sauber und sehr komfortabel!

去的時候剛好趕上婚禮，大堂裡外都是熱情洋溢喜氣洋洋的老外。前台有衹值班的狗，乖極了。如果帶着孩子，需要額外每衹30胖子的付費，這個，呃……如果沒有這筆費用還是不錯的。第二天的免費自助早餐不錯，咖啡點了以後，服務員送。走廊裏有自助牛奶和自助飲用水。停車免費呦，停車場挺大，基本不用擔心沒地方，因為即使頭一天婚禮來滿了人，也依舊有少許停車位。 雖然英國每天都陰沉下雨或者颳風下雪，但是我們卻在這裏看到了久違的漫天繁星。

After climbing the scafell pike, we went straight to this hotel. The staffs were really kind especially to the old man. You can really see the passion in his work . The hotel was amazing because it’s clean and well maintained. They also have a restaurant so you don’t have to go outside to look for a food which is really inconvenient idea for those who are tired from climbing. I guess we tried to book for an uber eats, deliveroo etc but they don’t have it in that area. The food was great and they have a free breakfast as well.

Lovely hotel room was smaller than expected and also the bathroom but it had everything we needed and was lovely and clean the breakfast was lovely catered for my gluten intolerance and the staff were really lovely especially Olivia who served us drinks for both nights nothing was too much trouble for her would highly recommend and we will be back

A hotel that's definitely seen better days! Staff were pleasant and the room had everything we needed, even a lovely massive cobweb on the inside of the window!😉 Plenty of hot water and lovely clean towels. Breakfast was plentiful and for a day or two was okay. For the prices you pay it offers good value, I'd stay again 👍

酒店在一家大型生活區工業區旁邊，記得旁邊是Tesco超市，步行可達。酒店的房間蠻大的，服務人員也很客氣，晚上安保措施不錯，會有門禁卡。總的來説自駕遊的朋友可以選擇。從那裡到温德米爾湖大概五十分鐘吧，開車子可以選擇。

Bei der Ankunft wurde mir gesagt, dass die Buchung nur um 3 Uhr war und auf meinem E-Mail-Bestätigungsschreiben es klar angegeben 2.00 Uhr. Es sah aus, als ob die Lady DS mir nicht glauben und so hatte ich Glück die Bestätigungs-E-Mail auf meinem Telefon, um sie zu zeigen. Sie sagte mir dann, sie würde und Ausnahme machen und mir zulassen, in einer Stunde früher zu buchen! Ich finde es frustrierend, dass ich sogar das Wort „Ausnahme“ hören sollte, da ich nicht in der ersten Stelle falsch war. Die einzige andere Anregung, die ich habe, ist, dass es eine nicht-Schleifmaße zur Verfügung stehen sollte, um in der Dusche zu verwenden, sowie eine Handfläche, die bei Duschen und Wäsche von Füßen aufhalten sollte. Ich bin sicher, dass Sie viele ältere Besucher haben und es würde ihnen verhindern, in der Dusche im schleifenden Boden zu schleppen und fallen. Neben diesen beiden Dingen habe ich gut geschlafen und fand die Aussicht über den Dach mit den Vögeln eine wunderschöne. Alle schön und sauber und kann das Hotel als sichere empfehlen, übernachten.
