Das Hotel ist ein bisschen in seinem Aussehen datiert und könnte in der oberen Klasse sein, wenn Zimmer/Badezimmer mehr Standardartikel wie Haartrockner, Ziehen/Schalenraum hatten). Eine Decke, die Wasser in einen Bucket leckt, war nicht der Schuld des Personals, sondern schuf keinen guten Eindruck in Reception.
Was a romantic get away, found that the drinks are expensive inside the hotel. we never ate at the hotel, as there is a couple of nice pubs close by. the staff were friendly, THe place is a bit of a maze but cool. they do run daily tours but its best if you book up in advance as when we tried to do day of the tour no availability. it is run via a 3rd party not the hotel itself.

Best Western Walworth Castle Hotel looks like you’re about to stay in a medieval fortress, but the experience is closer to a slightly ******* Premier Inn with turrets.
The castle exterior is genuinely impressive. The inside feels like it was last renovated during the English Civil War. Creaky floors, questionable décor, piggy smell breakfasts and recepcionist smile thicker than the castle walls.
That said, it’s strangely charming in the same way old pubs and abandoned stately homes are charming. Not luxurious, not modern, but definitely memorable.

The room was spacious and comfy beds. It comes with free breakfast, which is good. Breakfast was alright, the same food every morning. The only thing that lets us down is one of the staff in the restaurant. We sat there for ages waiting to be served. Because he won't be serving us not until 8pm. So we've waited patiently, because we have just arrived that night and was very hungry. This man was serving other people, but not us. So my husband and I were wondering what's going on. So my husband went to the till and queued up. But when it's my husband's turn, he asked, ”Who's next?? Obviously, my husband was in front of him. Then, when my husband asked if we could order now, he looked at him and me and saying ”Oh, just wait to your table, and I will get your order from there. . Maybe because I am the only Asian there. I feel like there's a bit of ****** to be honest. We went back to our table and waited to be served again. But he didn't turn up and served the next table beside and served some other customer who came after us. I was so mad and upset. But I don't want cause a scene. So we we just went out and looked for another restaurant outside the hotel. We're so disappointed, and we didn't expect to be treated like that. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. I just forgot his name. But the one at the restaurant is not nice at all. He ruined our family holiday. We won't be coming back anymore there.

We enjoyed our stay, the location of our room was good.
The only few ******* that we had, was that although the room was clean, it smelt a little bit smokey, it was too hot, we tried turning the radiator down a little but it wouldn't stay down, we did open the window, and the pillows were too hard for me.
But for the 1 night we stayed it was ok.
Average level for the hotel , but the price is matching to the environment, so it is not a problem

HHaoyun WangThe size of the room is specious with sufficient space for storing luggage, and the floor is very clean and comfortable to walk on with bare feet, so feel free to leave your shoe by the door. As for the bed, it is very large and comfortable, providing you the high quality of sleeping without any problems. In the bathroom, it is not only very elegant and clean, but also provides unlimited hot water with satisfying water pressure from two types of shower heads. Moreover, there is a mini fridge placed in the lower closet near the wardrobe, feel free to drink the two bottles of spring water prepared by the host or store your own drinks or unfinished meals. In addition, there is a small safe above the fridge for depositing your valuables.
In terms of the amenities on the ground floor, there is a high-end restaurant serving traditional English breakfast (e.g. egg benedict) in the morning, and the taste is fine. However, I am not a big fan of their lunch or dinner when you can have better options in nearby restaurants. Furthermore, there is a small bar just outside the restaurant. The Gym, coffee room and reception are at the LG level, and you will receive a 10% discount in the coffee room after check-in.
The location is very close to the city center, train station and several main attractions such as the cathedral and castle.
Overall, I enjoy my two-day stay very much, the price of the hotel is very cost-effective in terms of the four-star standards, providing an unforgettable experience for both tourists and business travelers.

GGastnutzerAbsolutely wonderful. Id stayed at Durham Royal County before with my girlfriend. However she didn't come with ne this time due to reasons that she had. The staff at the hotel were lovely about it and made me feel better about tge situation and a lovely note and complementary drinks for me to come back to in my room.
All I can say is thankyou and I'll look forward to staying with you again soon.

GGastnutzerI have been to Hartlepool many times in the past stayed in different places over the years but the Grand Hotel I liked nice staff spacious rooms location ideal I did come across one rude customer that was not very nice despite the staff doing g everything they could for her so I just had to tell her off fo being so rude definitely will stay again and also o e mention to the curry house in the same building excellent food and again nice staff
GGastnutzerWir genossen unseren Aufenthalt, die Lage ist ideal und die Grundstücke waren schön und ruhig! Das Personal war sehr freundlich, willkommen und professionell!
Der einzige Nebeneffekt war, dass unser Zimmer nur eine Plug-Socket hatte, die wir in diesen Tagen nicht genug verwenden konnten ....., auch nur für Grundbedürfnisse ..... sehr schlecht leider. Die Klimaanlage wäre begrüßt worden, daher würden wir dieses Hotel in den Sommermonaten aus diesem Grund allein vermieden. Ein anderes kleines, irritantes Bad hatte eine Glasschale über dem Tauch, die stark in Richtung Tauchkammer schüttelte, so dass wir sehr vorsichtig sein mussten, um sicherzustellen, dass die Dinge nicht weiter fallen.
Unsere Frühstücksbuffets waren ausgezeichnet (außer den Omelettes), und das Servicepersonal war sehr willkommen ....a großartig Beginn jeden Tag!
GGastnutzerAbsolutely spotless and finished to a high standard. Decor is modern and appealing throughout. Staff are helpful. Lovely restaurant and fantastic coffee served there. The only slight issue I would say, is that you can hear guests in the next room very easily and this isn’t desirable for obvious reasons. We sadly ended up with very noisy guests in the room next to us the first night we stayed and this caused considerable disruption to our sleep pretty much all night. Saying this, we didn’t notify the staff though (so they may have been able to help) as there was no phone in the room. The next night was fine and completely silent so this would be dependent on who you have staying near you.
