Die Gesamtausstattung und das Ambiente des Hotels entsprechen nicht dem Preis. Das kostenlose Alkoholarmband kann man allerdings nur gegen eine Limonade im Wert von 120 NT$ einlösen, wenn man keinen Alkohol trinkt. Dafür bekam man eine kleine Aluminiumdose Cola, die im Supermarkt für 10 NT$ verkauft wurde. Der Internetempfang im Zimmer war so schlecht, dass er praktisch nutzlos war. Die Netflix-Oberfläche des Fernsehers war so simpel, dass ich in meinem ursprünglichen Zimmer nicht einmal Netflix schauen konnte. Der Abfluss der Dusche war stark verstopft und wäre fast übergelaufen. Nachdem ich dies der Rezeption gemeldet hatte, sagte das Personal, sie würden das Problem beheben, während sie nicht in der Stadt seien. Bei meiner Rückkehr sagten sie, sie hätten es repariert, aber nichts geschah. Schließlich rief ich mitten in der Nacht an der Rezeption an, um mich zu beschweren, und nach langem Warten gaben sie mir ein anderes Zimmer, um Netflix zu schauen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und entschuldigte sich am nächsten Tag, aber als Entschädigung wurde mir ein zwei Stunden später Check-out und ein Gutschein für ein kostenloses Upgrade für meinen nächsten Aufenthalt angeboten. Ehrlich gesagt, warum sollte ich 8.000 oder 10.000 NT$ dafür ausgeben? Das Frühstück war jedoch köstlich und das Einzige, was die ganze Reise lohnenswert machte.

Die Lage ist fantastisch. Wenn man mit dem Aufzug runterfährt und links abbiegt, ist man direkt am Wanhua Bahnhof. Direkt gegenüber von FamilyMart ist ein Eingang, durch den man geradeaus zur MRT-Station gelangt. Zuerst dachte ich, die MRT-Station wäre nicht in der Nähe, aber sie ist tatsächlich sehr, sehr nah! Ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Wir wurden im 18. Stock untergebracht, was eine tolle Aussicht bietet. Außerdem war das Personal am Pool sehr freundlich! Neben dem Eingang zur Lobby gibt es auch einen kleinen Tisch für Essenslieferungen, was sehr praktisch ist. Ich frage mich, warum es kein Schild an der Tür gibt, das Gäste an die Außenseite hängen können, um dem Personal mitzuteilen, dass keine Zimmerreinigung gewünscht ist? Außerdem ist im Poolbereich eine Badekappe Pflicht, was verständlich ist! Aber eines Abends kam eine Gruppe von Mittel-/Oberschülern zum Schwimmen. Ein paar, die gut ausgerüstet waren, gingen zuerst rein und überredeten dann ihre Freunde, die keine Badehosen dabeihatten: Sie sagten, die Regeln besagten nur, dass man eine Badekappe tragen müsse, aber nichts über Badehosen! Sie diskutierten hin und her und kamen tatsächlich zu dem Schluss, dass nur eine Badekappe nötig sei und keine Badehose. Also sprangen einige von ihnen nur in Unterwäsche ins Wasser! (Und sie hatten sich nicht einmal abgeduscht!) Das war ekelhaft! Ich musste mein Kind schnell aus dem Wasser holen und ins Zimmer zurückbringen. Ihre Unterwäsche war dunkel, so dass das Personal es wahrscheinlich nicht bemerkt hat. Zudem ist die Badewanne sehr klein. Aus der Toilette kam ein ziemlich starker Geruch.

Mein Aufenthalt war rundum gelungen. Es war mein erster Besuch in Kenting, und ich entschied mich für das Caesar Park Hotel. Ich hatte den Shuttlebus von Zuoying in Kaohsiung im Voraus gebucht, und alles verlief reibungslos. Die Fahrt zum Hotel dauerte etwas über zwei Stunden. Obwohl das Hotel 40 Jahre alt ist, ist es sehr gut gepflegt, die Einrichtung ist modern, und der Service war exzellent. Beim Check-in an der Rezeption erhielt ich Gutscheine für die Xiaowan Bar und die Lobbybar. Abends am Xiaowan Beach gegenüber dem Hotel zu sitzen, war sehr angenehm. Auch das Essen in der Lobbybar war sehr gut! Im Zimmer lagen neue, sehr bequeme Flip-Flops bereit. Die Ausstattung war komplett neu: Kaffeemaschine, Wasserspender auf jeder Etage sowie Waschmaschinen und Trockner zur Selbstbedienung. Getränke und Snacks waren im Zimmer inklusive, und die Schalldämmung war hervorragend! Sogar der Blick in den Garten mit den Bergen war wunderschön. Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet, die Kenting Main Street ist fußläufig erreichbar. In der Lobby können Fahrräder gemietet werden, und draußen stehen außerdem Ubikes bereit. Taxis sind ebenfalls gut erreichbar! Für die Fahrradmiete wird ein taiwanesischer Personalausweis benötigt. Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig. Insgesamt war ich sehr zufrieden!

Hotel is relative clean. Stayed in a single room with a semi double bed. Size is decent but didn’t realised it was behind the lifts, could hear the lift moving through out the day. The shower head position is pretty bad. It’s not on an angle it’s pretty much like spraying directly into your body. It would be great if they could address this. It’s 15 mins walk from the metro station so not closed. Also there was a cockroach in the bathroom. Crawled out of the drain

1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. 房間為兩張單人床配置，整體空間算寬敞，沒有浴缸，但基本設備齊全，包含掛衣處（附衣架）以及冰箱，使用上算是方便。 備品部分提供吹風機、沐浴乳、洗髮精、洗手乳，以及浴巾、毛巾與室內拖鞋（拖鞋不可帶走）。飲品方面，館內設有飲水機，房內也有茶杯與茶包可使用。 早餐供應採自助式形式，但餐點品項相對簡單，選擇不算多。停車方面提供室外停車位及路邊停車格，整體還算便利。 公共設施方面，有電梯與 Wi-Fi，並提供一個免費拍照印製的照片鑰匙圈，算是額外的小紀念。大廳環境維持得不錯，即使遇到下雨天，地面也持續有人清潔，沒有濕滑的情況，這點值得肯定。 另外館內也有付費活動可以參加，例如螢火蟲導覽（$50/人），內容本身相當有趣，算是此行的一大加分項目。導覽費用需以現金支付，無法刷卡，並會提供發票。需要注意的是，現場人員未主動詢問載具需求即直接列印電子發票，且表示列印後無法改存載具。 整體來說，住宿體驗中規中矩，導覽活動是亮點，但部分細節仍有優化空間。

Das erste Mal wurde dieses Hotel in drei Hallen geplant, ein schlechter Soundtrack, nicht nur zwischen dem Zimmer, sondern auch der Ton des Fensters. Unter dem Balkon des Zimmers ist ein offener Terrasse-Raum des Hotels. Von meinem Zimmer kann ich den Inhalt des Gastgesprächs deutlich hören. Eine Nacht, die aufeinanderfolgende Nacht hört, wie die Wand der Krümmung von oben herkommt, und die Gespräche mit anderen Zimmern, die mich in einer Nacht schwer schlafen. Als ich aus dem Zimmer ging, sagte ich, dass ich nur mit meinem Sohn wohne in der Rezeption (woher kam die Stimme? Die Rezeption sagte, ich sollte die Stimme in der zweiten Rezeption hören 🙃) Das gesamte Hotel ist sehr seltsam gestaltet. Es gibt drei Restaurants, die nur in ein Restaurant essen oder Teezuppe gehen können. Obwohl der Golfplatz geküsst wird, ist es immer noch nicht sehr bequem, wenn man mehr Trends hat. Der Sohn hat den Pool, der denkt, dass der Pool nicht schlecht ist, die Einrichtungen sind voll, der einzige Vorteil dieses Aufenthalts.

I did not expect this accommodation to be a motel based on its Chinese name, so it was a bit of a surprise when I checked in. The location is very convenient, which is a big plus. However, the overall environment had a slight smell of cigarette smoke. The room itself was spacious, but for guests arriving on foot, the access route is not very intuitive—you need to go down to the basement first and then enter through the parking garage, which makes the circulation feel somewhat inconvenient.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sun Palm B&B. Have written this review in English, but we communicated with them in Chinese. We stayed at this B&B during the tourism off-peak season (March). Service - Amazing. They were very responsive on Line, and quick to reply. They were also helpful with our requests/questions (e.g. fetching service to and fro airport, car rental service, traffic road conditions in Penghu) and were polite. They also gave some advice on what can or cannot be done (e.g. we wanted to cycle around Penghu, but they advised us saying Penghu was too big to travel on a bicycle). The driver was always punctual when picking us up, and when sending us to the airport. In fact, he was already there, with the car ready, minutes before we were supposed to leave for the airport - we didn't even need to remind them. The lady boss was very friendly - when we first arrived, she asked if we were new to Penghu (it was our first time), and she introduced where to explore in Penghu, and what to eat. She also told us that if we wanted to do water activities, we can approach them, and they can make a check with the centres to see if they are open since it was off-peak season for tourist activities. We also had some extra request regarding the check out timing, and she helped us with it too. Before we arrived, they also tested the car we wanted to rent, and upon finding out that it wasn't working as well, they provided us with another car instead - this is certainly good service. They also cleaned up the room upon request, and re-stocked the fridge with drinks. Food - The breakfast was amazing and fresh (see photos). On the first day we had bread + doughstick + egg with spring onion all in one package. It was delicious. On the second day, we had vermicelli and seafood (e.g. squid, prawns). The seafood was really fresh, and the broth was simple and tasty. Each dish was accompanied by fresh fruits / pastry + drink, which was refreshing. Room - We got the Starry Honeymoon Room. It was very spacious, the room was clean, the amenities were in good condition, and the overall design was aesthetically pleasing. The heart pillow on the bed was a cute addition, and the round bed was big enough for 2 of us. Above the bed there was a window covered with a retractable screen - you can actually look into the sky while lying on the bed, really interesting.  Location - While this B&B is further away from the main city, we didn't feel that affected as they provided airport transfer services. Also, we felt that it being away from the hustle and bustle from the city was actually advantageous, as the B&B's location had a more relaxed, quiet, holiday vibes, which was what we were looking for.  There is a 7-11 around 10 minutes from the B&B, so if you need food etc in the middle of the night, you can get it from there. We rented a car, so travelling to other areas wasn't much of an issue. Overall, I will recommend this B&B to anyone looking to tour Penghu! Am glad to have chosen this B&B for our first ever trip to Penghu :)
