This is the first time I've had an absolutely 10/10 experience with any hotel. This particular hotel also outranks every other Marriott I've ever stayed at. I genuinely could not think of a single negative point. I was only in Nanjing for 2 nights, in town for a meeting, and I'm so glad I chose to stay here. Firstly, the room is exactly as advertised. Marriott hotels always have the fluffiest pillows, but this particular hotel had the most HEAVENLY pillows. The bed was so comfy that I ended up postponing my day plans just so I could sleep in! I didn't realise how desperately I needed that rest and recuperation, and am glad I chose to stay here and get what I needed. Also, this hotel does not skimp on the water - most hotels will only give you 2 tiny bottles a day, which if it's blazing hot outside, can be frustrating, especially if you want to boil water for tea/coffee in the morning. This hotel provides 4-5 complimentary bottles of water per day. In many ways, I felt like they anticipated what I'd need and would provide it before I even had the chance to ask. There is also an ironing board stowed in the room, which for me was a lifesaver as I had an important meeting. As other reviewers have mentioned, the location is indeed fantastic. I was so relieved to find that after a long train journey, I only needed to hop on the subway for 1 stop - I didn't even need to exit the building, as the hotel is located inside the mall connected to the subway station. The breakfast spread is not too bad either, with the highlight for me being the espresso machines. When I tell you this machine delivers the most divine coffee in 10 seconds, I am not kidding. It was one of my favourite things and a great way to kickstart a busy day. At check-in, the reception staff ensured they gave me all the info I needed. I noticed this is often skipped at other hotels as staff are shy or reluctant to speak in English, which results in foreign guests missing out on relevant info or complimentary perks - but the Marriott team refused to let language be an obstacle. I was glad to learn free snacks and coffee were available in the executive lounge each evening. While I was there, the executive lounge manager - I think her name is Sheila, apologies if I've gotten this wrong - took the time to introduce herself and ask if I needed anything. She was so polite and genuinely seemed to want to improve the experience for guests. To me, these small touches are what set a service-oriented luxury hotel apart from others. On my first night, I'd arrived pretty exhausted after having sat on a delayed train for hours, and I wanted to order takeaway as I didn't have the energy to go out. They have ******* lockers positioned right at the hotel entrance, which you can unlock with your phone and collect your deliveries. Being a foreigner who doesn't understand Chinese very well, I wasn't sure how to navigate this, but the reception staff went out of their way to help me, ensuring they stayed with me until I'd collected my parcel - it was not at all necessary for them to help me so much, but they did, and I'm very grateful for that :) I spent the entire month traveling in China and so, looking back, am able to compare all of the hotels and experiences from this trip. This particular hotel ranks 10/10 for me not only because of the location, but also because of the kindness and professionalism of staff. Things can sometimes be confusing or overwhelming for foreigners, and this was the only hotel where staff didn't hesitate to rush in and offer to help, no matter how small the issue. Even the gentleman at the coffee bar in the lobby was so kind and polite - and might I add, everyone at this hotel speaks English, so they really do cater to an international crowd. Housekeeping staff too were very sweet, always greeting you and asking if you needed extra bottles of water. Thank you for a relaxing, delightful stay! I hope to come again and stay longer next time.

I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket. 

Ausstattung: Sehr gut. Das Zimmer ist groß, die Matratze sehr bequem und es gibt einen kleinen Balkon. Die Trocken- und Nassbereiche sind schön und die Einrichtung sehr gemütlich. Sauberkeit: Sehr sauber, das Zimmer hat frische Luft. Lage: Direkt an der Pingjiang Road gelegen, sehr praktisch zum Einkaufen, allerdings etwas weit vom U-Bahn-Eingang entfernt, sodass man etwas laufen muss. Service: Sehr gut, die Rezeption war sehr hilfsbereit.

Floral hotel Nanjing review Hotel has unique character. Located in a private complex so it is quieter with no public car / scooter allowed to get in. Kids are happy playing and running outside the complex. Very clean, quiet and charming area. Location: fantastic location at laomendong old town (3 mins walk to the main old town - all the main actions), 10 mins walk to the city wall. We arrived at night and it was late (11pm) so it was a bit hard to find the accomm. 3 luggages and 2 kids made it hard-but I imagine using taxi outside the airport would make it easier and more convenience. The taxi will drop you off just outside the complex. It was 2 mins walk to the hotel. The hotel is easily found inside the complex. Check in process is super easy. To travel around, there are 2 metro stations you can use. We usually use the wumending stations - around 15-25 mins walk depending on the kids mood. However we never have problem commutting. The walk to the station is dotted with shops (food, snacks, convenience stores). Room: Clean, spacious and modern A family of four. We have plenty of space. Amenities are very modern. Plenty of storage space inside the toilet for your toileteries. Bed is massive (king size) and comfortable. We booked 2 beds to accommodate our family. Daily housekeeping and water bottles replacement. Communication: The owner will add you on wechat on check in day. All communication can be done via wechat. The translation app in wechat is a god sent. The staff has minimal english - but we dont have any problem communicating through wechat conversation. You can ask them for information etc through wechat. They will reply straight away. Services: Impeccable, above and beyond. The owner and all of the staffs are super helpful. Always keen to help. The owner took and showed us the restaurants around laomendong which are worth going - as there are plenty of restaurants around the areas. Because it is a boutique hotel, the service is very personalised. Breakfast: Set meal for breakfast every morning. Serve at 8am. It is not buffee with hundreds of selections but they give you healthy and nourishing breakfast. We stay there for 4 days and everyday is different menu. We absolutely enjoy our breakfast. Bits and pieces: There is a friendly and well behaved corgi dog inside the residence. My kids are generally scared of dog but they could not help themselves petting and playing with the dog. They missed the dog when we left Nanjing. I ve seen other hotels in major areas when we walked around. But the street is very busy and wont suit us. Also hotels in cbd areas - no character surrounding the cbd. It would be perfect for business people but I think this hotel is very suited for leisure and family. The hotel provide laundry service too. You just need to drop it off to front desk. They will wash, dry and fold them for you!!! My daughter vomitted on our second night. The sheets would be stained from the vomit but they did not charge us for the damage. The hotel can order you taxi if you dont have didi apps for taxi. My didi apps did not work as i did not set it up properly back home. You dont even need to pay the taxi driver either-they will sort it out and the hotel will charge you later. The price might be a bit higher than the surrounding hotels, however its definately worth every penny. In conclusion: Your accommodation choice can really impact your trip. Floral hotel has been amazing and I believe this hotel was an excellent choice for family / leisure trip. We really enjoy our Nanjing trip because of Floral Hotel. Ich habe im Suzhou Liuxiang Hotel übernachtet und das Zimmer „Erfrischendes Doppelbett“ gebucht. Mein Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm und komfortabel. Das Zimmer war sauber, hell und gepflegt, mit einem bequemen Bett und einer effektiven Klimaanlage – perfekt nach einem langen Tag in Suzhou. Die Lage ist ein absolutes Highlight: Das Hotel liegt zwischen der Guanqian-Straße und der Pingjiang-Straße und ist somit ideal zum Einkaufen, Sightseeing und um die lokale Küche zu entdecken. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Check-in und Check-out verliefen reibungslos, und die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt bietet das Hotel ein hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und ist eine gute Wahl für Reisende, die Wert auf Komfort, Sauberkeit und eine zentrale Lage in Suzhou legen.

I was initially asked by the hotel to leave a five-star review, but after my full stay I can’t do so in good conscience, and I have since adjusted my rating based on the second half of my booking. This was a two-part stay (two separate bookings of five days each), and while there are genuinely strong positives, the overall experience was significantly affected by ongoing service and cleanliness issues. There are still clear strengths to highlight. The location is excellent—quiet, safe, and surrounded by good restaurants, convenience stores, and a pleasant park nearby. The rooms are also very well designed: spacious, comfortable, and equipped with useful amenities such as a washing machine. The layout and overall setup make it a very livable space. The staff were, for the most part, kind and helpful. One staff member in particular was consistently warm and welcoming. When issues were raised, the team did attempt to respond professionally, and I do appreciate that some solutions were offered, including a discounted rate for a future stay. However, there were repeated concerns that affected my experience, particularly during the second half of my stay. Cleanliness remained a consistent issue. Even after rooms were serviced, dust accumulated very quickly—so much so that items like my laptop would be visibly covered overnight. This raises concerns about the overall level of cleanliness and ventilation. In addition, housekeeping services felt inconsistent. On multiple occasions I had to specifically request basic essentials such as bottled water and fresh towels, rather than these being proactively restocked daily as would normally be expected in this type of accommodation. Service consistency also varied. Some days staff would check in or ask whether I needed room cleaning, while on other days there was no such follow-up at all. This lack of routine made the experience feel unpredictable for a stay of this length. There were also concerns regarding pricing and communication during an attempted extension of my stay. I had initially paid approximately 268 rand per night (already at a discounted rate). When I asked to extend for one additional night during the May Day holiday period, I was quoted around 800 rand. While I understand that rates fluctuate during peak demand, this felt inconsistent given the earlier discount offered due to the significant issues experienced in the first rooms. The handling of this request also felt quite rigid initially, although the pricing discussion changed once I indicated I would be leaving a review. By that point, however, I had already made alternative arrangements in another city. I also noticed a change in overall tone and attentiveness from staff following my initial complaints, particularly on the day I was trying to extend my stay. In that instance, even basic housekeeping services were not offered, which contributed to a feeling of inconsistency in service. Ultimately, I think this hotel has strong potential. The location, room design, and general setup are genuinely excellent, and there are staff members who are clearly committed and welcoming. However, the inconsistency in cleanliness standards, basic housekeeping expectations, and service delivery means I cannot recommend it as a reliably high-quality stay at this stage. With more consistent attention to cleanliness and service fundamentals, this could be an excellent hotel experience—but in its current state, it falls short of that standard.

Der Eintritt in den Hotelhall ist bald vor Augen, die Rezeption ist sehr enthusiastisch! Das Zimmer ist super sauber und sauber und gibt den Menschen ein warmes Gefühl nach Hause! Die Tante ist auch sehr enthusiastisch und kann nichts von ihrer besorgten Erfüllung meiner Forderungen erfreuen! Sehr zufrieden mit einer Unterkunft! Die Auswahl von Wanda Beauty ist später als ein Ausflug!

Mein Aufenthalt im Indigo Suzhou Jinji Lake hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen! Das Hotel liegt im Herzen des Jinji Lake-Gebiets, direkt neben dem Suzhou Eye Riesenrad und dem Museum für Zeitgenössische Kunst. Es ist direkt mit der U-Bahn erreichbar und nur einen kurzen Spaziergang von der Eslite Buchhandlung und dem Yuanrong Business District entfernt, was es äußerst praktisch für Erkundungen, Einkäufe und Essen macht. Das Gesamtdesign verbindet den Charme der Jiangnan-Region mit modernem Flair und schafft eine großartige Atmosphäre, besonders in den öffentlichen Bereichen, die sich hervorragend für Fotos eignen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, die Ausstattung ist brandneu, mit Dyson-Haartrocknern und hochwertigen Pflegeprodukten. Die kostenlose Erstbefüllung der Minibar ist eine nette Geste. Das Personal war herzlich, aufmerksam und reagierte prompt. Das Frühstücksangebot war reichhaltig und lecker, und Annehmlichkeiten wie der beheizte Pool und das Fitnessstudio waren ebenfalls komplett vorhanden. Abends am See entlang zu spazieren und den Blick auf den See und die nächtliche Stadt zu genießen, war besonders angenehm. Es ist perfekt sowohl für Reisen als auch für einen Kurzurlaub. Ich würde bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Suzhou wieder hier übernachten.

Dieses Hotel liegt an der Pingjiang Road, einer historischen Straße in der Altstadt, direkt neben der Fußgängerzone. Gegenüber der Huxiangshi-Brücke befindet sich ein Chayan Yuese Supermarkt. In 15–20 Minuten erreichen Sie zu Fuß in Richtung Norden den Garten des bescheidenen Beamten, den Löwenhain und das Suzhou-Museum. Westlich davon gelangen Sie zur U-Bahn-Station Xuanqiao Lane. Die Verkehrsanbindung ist hervorragend. Das Hotel besticht durch seine wunderschöne Gartenanlage und seine umfassende Ausstattung. Es erstreckt sich über drei Etagen, und das gebuchte Zimmer befindet sich im dritten Stock mit einer Terrasse mit Blick auf den Pingjiang-Fluss und die große Kiefer – ein fantastischer Ausblick! Von der Terrasse aus können Sie sogar das CCTV-Hauptquartier (bekannt als „Große Hose“) sehen. Der Kundenservice war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zur Begrüßung gab es Obst, und das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Der Service war großartig und die Umgebung erstklassig. Direkt nebenan befindet sich der Panmen-Park mit Bergen und Wasser – wirklich schön. Die Sauberkeit war auch hervorragend. Die Ausstattung war gut, die Lage top, alles leicht erreichbar. Wenn ich das nächste Mal nach Suzhou komme, werde ich wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten. Wir bekamen sogar zwei kostenlose Tickets für die Panmen-Aussichtsplattform der Kategorie 4A sowie eine einstündige Cheongsam-Anprobe für Damen (nicht an gesetzlichen Feiertagen).
