Die Lage ist bequem, wenn Sie sich von der Stadtzentrum entfernt und vermieden teuer öffentlicher Parkplatz. Ein wenig Lärm wegen der Hauptstraße, aber im Allgemeinen ist es ok. Das Hotel bietet Parkplätze am Ort, es ist kostengünstig bei AUD 40 pro Nacht und die Parkplätze sind sehr eng und begrenzt. Das Zimmer kommt nicht mit einem Ausstattungssatz; ein Pluspunkt ist jedoch, dass es einen Kühlschrank, eine Mikrowelle und einige grundlegende Werkzeuge, Kegel und Platten enthält. Ich habe das zusätzliche Gewässer im Zimmer geschätzt.. während kleine, es war besser als nichts. Das Bad ist schlecht konzipiert, es ist fast unmöglich, Ihr Gesicht dort zu waschen, ohne Ihren Kopf auf den Fächer zu schlagen! Die Dusche ist gut, aber der Boden wird leicht nass, weil es keine Duschegarten, um das Wasser von der WC-Bereich zu blockieren. Zusätzlich werden keine Toiletten andere als Basisschampo, Duschegel und Klimaanlage bereitgestellt. Das Hotel verfügt nicht über einen Wäscheservice, aber es gibt einen Waschmaschine im Freien Park direkt gegenüber dem Hotel. Für das Essen gibt es eine McDonald's und KFC in der Nähe, etwa einen 5-minute Spaziergang entfernt. Alternativ können Sie überfahren, da sie ihre eigenen Parkplätze bieten. Das Frühstück ist extrem grundlegende, bestehend aus nur Brot, Toaster, Obst und einer Maschine für Milch, Kaffee und Tee. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und macht Sie sich wie zu Hause fühlen

Great location with an easy walk to the beach, central Surfers Paradise, and access to the tram to other parts of the Gold Coast. The apartment was clean with an excellent bathroom and shower. The towels were great too - new and fluffy. The furniture in my room was dated, the mattress was old, uncomfortable, and should have been replaced a decade ago, and the apartment lacked any style or decor. I'm not sure if it was just my apt #910 but it didn't look like the online pictures. Overall it served its purpose but was fairly uncomfortable and drab.

Excellent location, lovely apartment, and great facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again. Highly recommended!

I stayed at Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach from 24 to 27 July. On the evening of 25 July, while applying body lotion as part of my normal daily routine, I noticed several small marks on my shoulder and upper inner thigh/groin area that appeared to be possible insect bites. I apply body lotion every day and am certain these marks were not present on the evening of 24 July after check-in. It was winter on the Gold Coast, and on 25 July I spent most of the day inside a shopping centre, wearing long sleeves and long trousers outdoors. I cannot say with certainty where the marks came from, but later that evening I also saw insects in the room and immediately reported the matter to the hotel. I did not want to remain in that room. I repeatedly tried to contact Trip.com because, based on previous experience, they have helped arrange alternative accommodation when hotel problems occur. Unfortunately, I could not reach Trip.com that night. The hotel told me it was fully booked and offered only two options: move to a room without air conditioning or remain in the same room after it had been cleaned. As it was late, I was overseas, and I had no practical alternative, I reluctantly accepted the temporary arrangement. That same evening, the hotel told me that I would be upgraded to another room the following day and that breakfasts on 26 and 27 July would be complimentary. Before accepting, I asked what would happen if the marks became worse. The staff did not make any promise regarding my physical condition or responsibility. They simply explained that the cleaning, room upgrade and breakfasts were “extra” goodwill gestures. I accepted based on that explanation and because I had no realistic alternative that night. The staff who initially handled my complaint were polite, professional and genuinely tried to help. My main disappointment was the hotel’s internal communication. For clarity, I paid for breakfast on 25 July myself. The hotel promised complimentary breakfasts only for 26 and 27 July, and I did not even have breakfast on 26 July. Despite this, I had to explain the same arrangement three times: 1. When collecting the key for the upgraded room on 26 July, the front desk initially said breakfast was not included. 2. On the morning of 27 July, the restaurant reception again said I needed to pay. 3. At check-out on 27 July, the front desk attempted to charge me for three breakfasts. The charges were eventually removed, but only after I explained the situation again. My criticism is not directed at individual employees, as everyone I dealt with was polite and willing to help. The real issue was the lack of communication between the department handling my complaint, the front desk and the restaurant. The location is excellent and the staff attitude was generally good, but discovering possible insect bites and insects in the room was already stressful. Having to repeat the same issue three times because the hotel’s own goodwill arrangement had not been communicated internally made the experience even more disappointing. I hope the hotel improves its room hygiene, complaint-handling procedures and communication between departments.

Das Hotel ist ganz nett. Die Aufzüge waren nicht in Betrieb, was es ziemlich schwierig machte, das Gepäck die Treppen hinaufzuschleppen. Gute, sichere Parkplätze. Was mir nicht gefallen hat, war der schlechte Kundenservice bei der Ankunft und die zusätzliche Gebühr für die verspätete Ankunft aufgrund eines tödlichen Unfalls direkt vor uns auf einer großen Autobahn, die dann für 3 Stunden gesperrt wurde, um auf einen Gerichtsmediziner zu warten. Natürlich war das nicht die Schuld des Hotels, aber auch nicht unsere. Ein bisschen Höflichkeit, Mitgefühl und/oder Empathie hätte viel bewirkt, wenn man bedenkt, dass wir angerufen haben, um sie über diese Situation zu informieren und sie auch auf dem Laufenden zu halten.

Wir verbrachten vier Nächte über die Osterfeiertage in einem Zimmer mit Panoramablick aufs Meer im neuen Turm. Die Lage ist hervorragend. Der Poolbereich grenzt an einen Sandstrand, und im Vergleich zum benachbarten Hilton war das Wasser viel klarer und sehr angenehm. Die Aussicht ist absolut traumhaft. Bei Ebbe verwandelt sie sich jedoch in einen „Panoramablick auf Wattflächen“, daher empfehle ich, den Reisezeitraum sorgfältig zu planen. Andererseits gab es einige Probleme mit dem Zimmer. Es gibt keinen Balkon, und die Fenster lassen sich nicht öffnen. Es gab Mücken im Zimmer, und ich wurde mehrmals gestochen, was Juckreiz und Schwellungen verursachte. Der Insektenschutzspender im Flur war leer, was mich an der Qualität des Reinigungsmanagements zweifeln ließ. Als ich eine Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption ansprach, wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass nur Körperspray mit Insektenschutzmittel verfügbar sei, und mir wurde keine weitere Hilfe angeboten. Ich musste mir daher selbst Insektenschutzmittel kaufen und anwenden. Zusätzlich roch es im Badezimmer unangenehm nach Abwasser. Der Spiegel und das Waschbecken waren nicht richtig gereinigt und wirkten schmutzig. Zimmer und Flur rochen muffig, und die Bettwäsche fühlte sich aufgrund der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit feucht an. Die Bettdecke war dünn und unbequem. Da ich geruchsempfindlich bin, wurde mir übel und ich fühlte mich unwohl. Später sprach mein Mann mit einem Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption. Obwohl das Hotel ausgebucht war und wir kein anderes Zimmer bekommen konnten, reagierte er aufrichtig, entschuldigte sich ausführlich und veranlasste eine gründliche Reinigung. Als wir von unserem Ausflug zurückkamen, war das Badezimmer sauber und der Abwassergeruch verschwunden. Der muffige Geruch im Zimmer war zwar nicht ganz weg, aber mit einem Deodorant überdeckt, und wir konnten gut schlafen. Am nächsten Tag traten die gleichen Probleme jedoch wieder auf. Da Ostern war und alle anderen Hotels ausgebucht waren, blieb uns nichts anderes übrig, als bis zum Ende unserer Buchung zu bleiben. Im Nachhinein las ich Bewertungen und fand viele ähnliche Beschwerden über den muffigen Geruch. Ich bereute es, nicht vorher gründlicher recherchiert zu haben. Ich war davon ausgegangen, dass es in einem Fünf-Sterne-Hotel in Ordnung sein würde. Das Personal an der Rezeption war insgesamt freundlich, zuvorkommend und professionell. Besonders der männliche Mitarbeiter, der uns betreute, war ausgezeichnet. Die Qualität der Zimmerreinigung hingegen ließ meiner Meinung nach zu wünschen übrig. Meiner Ansicht nach sind diese Probleme größtenteils auf einen Konstruktionsfehler zurückzuführen. Genauer gesagt: Das Gebäude wurde von der Baufirma und dem Architekten so geplant, dass die Ästhetik Vorrang vor der Funktionalität hatte. Das Ergebnis sind Zimmer, deren Fenster sich trotz des feuchten, tropischen Klimas nicht öffnen lassen. Der ältere Turm mit seinen Balkonen und zu öffnenden Fenstern hat dieses Problem möglicherweise nicht. Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht für geruchsempfindliche Gäste empfehlen. Für alle anderen ist es aufgrund seiner Lage und Ausstattung aber dennoch ein wunderbarer Ort zum Verweilen.

Really nice views, good location close to shopping centre and easy to navigate your way around the city from there, has a nice little gym and a pool and even a tennis court aswell as a sauna, right on the river to can see the sunrise and sunset, I enjoyed my stay has a full kitchen and all of the utensils and pots and pans.

Wir waren absolut begeistert vom kostenlosen Zimmer-Upgrade – eine so schöne Überraschung, die unseren Aufenthalt noch schöner gemacht hat. Wir waren schon öfter im Crowne Plaza und es hat uns wieder einmal gezeigt, warum wir immer wieder gerne hierherkommen. Die Lage ist hervorragend, nur 2 Gehminuten von der Straßenbahnhaltestelle entfernt, was für mich nach meiner Knie-OP besonders praktisch war. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten waren mühelos zu erreichen, und der Besuch der Aussichtsplattform SkyPoint war ein absolutes Highlight. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt – so sehr, dass wir am liebsten noch eine Nacht länger geblieben wären. Absolut empfehlenswert für Komfort, Bequemlichkeit und hervorragenden Service.

It was a bit painful from the get go checking in. You have to go to a different hotel a block over. There is nowhere to park to check in. I called the number to be put through to a call centre that isn’t on site. Call 1: yes you can park in the visitor parking just buzz and they’ll let you in. Call 2: while blocking the driveway I’m unable to find a buzzer that reaches reception. Operator sounds confused, I hang up and someone is coming out so I sneak in. Call 3: I’m parked in visitor parks, go up the lift and come out at another building. She again sounds confused. If I go out the door I won’t be able to get back in without a fob, so I’m asking which way I should go. There are no signs to tell me how to get to Ivy and Eve apartments. I eventually find a worker who takes me around to reception. Sorted. Or so I think. I check in with reception. The girl was really lovely and informative. So I think, until I reach the carpark of the next building I’m staying at. The sheet of paper she gave me says “your allocated car space is 131 and is located on 55. I drive in looking for level 55, car space 131. Neither of these exist. Call 4: Where is my carpark? Am I missing something. Keep in mind every time I call I’m asked to give all my details so they can verify my booking so by now I’m pretty tired of it all. She finds my booking and says oh yes you’re in park 55 on level B1. (See photo for why I was confused!) I drive around the carpark looking for a 55. It doesn’t exist. All carparks are labelled with a sign saying Art house and 4 numbers. Ok maybe it’s the last 2? Nope doesn’t exist. After driving around for a bit I realise there are numbers on the ground of the carpark that are completely different to the signs (I didn’t look at the ground because the signs said art house) So finally I work out that this is my park. Another confused guest stops to ask me where his park might be and I explain it’s the floor ones not the art house signs. So I wasn’t the only one. Ok so park the car, go upstairs to room 1106 which of course is on floor 10. Makes sense lol. As soon as I open the door I’m hit with a wet musty kind of smell. Like the place had been flooded and not allowed to dry out properly maybe? I opened all the windows and when that didn’t work I went and bought some air freshener to hide the smell a bit. We left all the doors open all night and next day and the smell improved. The lounge chairs are not comfy if you’re looking for a stay in watch Netflix type staycay, but the beds are really comfy. The place was pretty immaculately clean so that was nice. And washer dryer were great to have. If I had have known I’d need to go through all that checkin at another building I would not have booked. Maybe I missed the part that mentioned this? Ahh well we enjoyed our stay in general, it just didn’t get off to a good start.

Der Zimmerpreis war günstig. Ich bin früh aufgestanden, um einen Flug zu erwischen. Der einzige Nachteil war, dass ich am nächsten Tag in ein niedriges behindertengerechtes Zimmer umziehen musste.
