1. Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage, nur 50 Meter zu Fuß vom lebhaften Flussufer entfernt. 2. Die Hotelzimmer sind sehr gut, mit hellem Licht, sauberen Badezimmern und Vorhängen für jedes Bett. 3. Das kostenlose Frühstück des Hotels ist sehr reichhaltig. 4. Machen Sie abends einen Club daraus, in dem Sie trinken und Musik hören können.

Stayed at this hotel 3 times in less than 2 months, not planning to return ever again. Our 1st visit was so impressive that we had booked 2 more stays short after for our family. Yet the last visit turned into a disaster. Nobody answering phone calls at night. Before checking in on our last visit. We realized our flight got delayed. tried calling the hotel at around 9.15 pm, called 5 times over 20 minutes, no one would pick up the phone in the main reception !! Furious, and so we arrived at 1am without being able to inform them that we were gonna be late. Upon arrival, as I had booked 2 rooms, I asked the only person who was on shift that night to make sure putting my parents into the booked standard double room and my family with a child into the other bigger room (Junior King Suite) . He affirmed me that the room distribution was correct so we just left our parents to go to their room and take rest since it was late. When we arrived at our room, it was definitely a small room that would only fit a couple without being able to add an extra bed. Called the reception, no ones answered again!! So had to went back down to speak to that staff at 1.30am. He insisted, the room I was put into, was the Junior King Suite !!!! I was so angry because that room didnt looked like it was over 500sq ft as it was described when I booked. But the staff said to us that the info in trip.com was incorrect and more over, the information he received didnt mentioned that we had a child with us. Angry and exhausted, and I was even gonna compromised to stay in that room and sleep. we just went back to take a shower, then the guy came , talked to my husband and would offer us a bigger room after all the drama. it was close to 2am!!! We got offered to stay in a family room so my daughter got to sleep on a sofa bed but the guy who made the bed didnt even give her a blanket. Next day, texted my parents and asked them to show us a picture of their room, we realized the guy mistakenly putting my parents into the bigger room and so we were the one who got allocated into the standard double room!! Unprofessional service from the top to the bottom!! we eventually felt bad to that staff because in the middle of the night, he was the only person who moved luggages, opening beds etc...

From the moment I landed, I knew this stay would be special. I was collected from the airport in a luxury Jaguar , (completely free) and transported again at departure, including complimentary trips to and from the city centre. Actual VIP treatment from start to finish .... something I have never experienced anywhere else. Because my flights didn’t match standard hotel times, the team kindly allowed early check-in and late check-out at no extra cost, which took away all travel stress and made my stay even more comfortable. That flexibility meant everything to me. Every single staff member was amazingly warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Although I sadly didn’t manage to catch the names of the wonderful ladies at reception, they were absolutely incredible and deserve huge praise. Special mention to Tomas — such a professional, friendly, standout member of the team. I later found out his birthday was on Thursday 4th, and I wish I had the chance to say Happy Birthday before I left! The location is perfect — close to shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it easy to explore Porto while still enjoying a calm, comfortable stay. The room was immaculate — spotlessly clean, cosy, and beautifully prepared. And the amenities were next-level: Mini-bar, tea and coffee station with kettle, plush slippers, bathrobe, bottled water......everything thoughtfully provided. I was welcomed with a welcome drink on arrival, and a fresh fruit tray waiting in my room. Nothing felt standard, everything felt intentional. What truly sets this hotel apart is the attention to detail. There is a clear sense of care, love, and purpose in every interaction and every small touch. You’re not treated like just another guest , you are genuinely looked after. I honestly cannot fault a single thing about this stay. Hotel Jaguar Porto combines luxury service with real warmth and heart, a rare find. If you’re heading to Porto and looking for an experience that goes far beyond accommodation, this is THE hotel to book. 100% recommended. I will absolutely be back. ✨👏

Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Das Zimmer war geräumig, sauber, mit Nuxe Haar-/Duschgel und Haarspülung ausgestattet und hatte sogar einen Balkon! Ich war zwar nur für eine Nacht dort, wäre aber gerne länger geblieben! Ich kann dieses Hotel jedem wärmstens empfehlen. Es gab sogar zwei kostenlose Fruchtgetränke und Mineralwasser in Glasflaschen in der Minibar. Fantastisch!

Unser Erfahrungsgefühl im Marqués Garden war von Anfang bis Ende absolut wunderbar. Dieses schöne Hotel, in einem charmanten 124-year-old Gebäude, ist voller Charakter, Geschichte und Eleganz. Jedes Detail macht es einen besonderen Ort zum Aufenthalt. Unsere Suite war schön, komfortabel und unermüdlich gepflegt, mit schönen Blicken über den Garten und den Pool. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und die Gesamtqualität der Einrichtungen und Service überstieg unsere Erwartungen. Das Hotel ist jedoch wirklich außergewöhnlich, und es ist das Personal. Jeder, den wir getroffen haben, war unglaublich willkommen, nett, aufmerksam und professionell. Ihre echte Gastfreundschaft hat uns in unserem Aufenthalt zu Hause gefühlt. Wir möchten insbesondere eine außergewöhnliche Geste eines der Herren hervorheben, die an der Rezeption arbeiten. Gestern haben wir versehentlich in einem Restaurant namens San Valentino in Matosinhos einen Sack mit persönlichen Gegenständen und Geschenken für unsere Familie nach Hause in Mallorca zurückgelassen. Als wir erklären, was passiert ist, übernahm der Herr auf der Rezeption die Situation sofort. Er kontaktierte das Restaurant persönlich, arrangierte einen Uber, um unsere vergessene Tasche zu sammeln und organisierte seine sichere Rückkehr zum Hotel. Er ging über das hinaus, was jeder vernünftigerweise erwarten konnte, und zeigte bemerkenswerte Güte, Professionalität und echte Bereitschaft, zu helfen. Das ist die wahre Gastfreundschaft. Es ist relativ einfach, ein schönes Hotel zu finden, aber das Finden eines schönen Hotels mit Menschen, die wirklich um ihre Gäste kümmern, ist etwas wirklich Besonderes. Wir sind sehr dankbar für die wunderbare Erfahrung und vor allem für die außergewöhnliche Behandlung, die wir erhalten haben. Wir empfehlen Marques Garden allen, die Porto besuchen. Das Zimmer ist in gutem Zustand und sauber. Der Nachteil ist, dass es an Wochentagen laut ist. Es wäre besser, wenn das Personal an der Rezeption freundlicher zu den Chinesen sein könnte! Gut

Last year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment. Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately. The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied. The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too. Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out. The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.

Tolle Lage, gemütlicher Ort, freundliches Personal, sauberes Bett! Das Badezimmer wird von beiden Geschlechtern benutzt. Die Waschmaschine kostet 5 €, ist inklusive Trockner und kann gelegentlich benutzt werden. Es war ein wirklich tolles Hostel!
