Dieses Hotel lag etwas abseits vom öffentlichen Nahverkehr. Es befand sich in einer Seitenstraße und war daher leicht zu finden. Mein Zimmer bot Blick auf das Opernhaus, was interessant war, da man die Leute dort beobachten konnte. Die Lage war super, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants waren bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Überraschenderweise war der Frühstücksbereich gut organisiert und das Essen lecker. Ein- und Auschecken verliefen reibungslos. Einziger Nachteil: Es gab keinen Zimmerservice. Man konnte an der Rezeption nach neuen Handtüchern fragen. Das Zimmer hatte eine angemessene Größe. Der Duschboden könnte verbessert werden. Es war schwierig, zu duschen, ohne den Badezimmerboden nass zu machen. Insgesamt war es aber ein guter Aufenthalt.

For our stay, we booked a studio apartment at The Sweet. The room was lovely and kitchenette was well-equipped. We were able to cook meals there over the days of Christmas when most restaurants and shops were closed. The location is a little outside of the center- nice and quiet but easy to access public transit. My biggest issue with this hotel was that communication was very… odd. As the booking notes, I called the hotel in advance to schedule my check-in. When my call was answered, I told them who I was and that I was calling to schedule my check in (for a time when the booking said check in is available). I was told no one would be at reception at that time (3pm on Dec 23) and they would text me instructions for how to check myself in. Then she confirmed my phone number and asked for my email address, but when I started to give it, she said, “oh, that’s ok. We can’t use email anyway”. Odd. Before getting off the phone, I had her confirm that I would receive a text the next day with instructions to check in. Our train arrived around 2pm in Oslo and we still hadn’t received a text, so we waited at the train station thinking perhaps they would send the text right at 3pm since that was the time I had requested. At 3, I still hadn’t received anything, so we called the hotel again. A different employee answered from the one I had spoken to the day before. I gave my name and explained that I was calling because I had scheduled check in the day before but hadn’t received the information to check in. The employee asked where I was and told me that there were people staffing reception to help us check in, which I thought was odd because the previous employee told me no one would be there. When we got to the hotel, we rang the bell and got into the building, but reception is apparently in the basement- there is only a very tiny sign that says this- so we missed it and I called them again. A man came up with our keys and got us set to go. We got into our room and it was lovely! About 5 hours later, I got a call from Trip saying that the hotel is trying to contact me because they are wondering why I hadn’t checked in and they don’t have a way to get in touch with me. I was sitting in the hotel room when I got this call. I told the Trip representative that I was checked in and it was fine for her to give my phone and email to the hotel. I know the communication elements have taken up a huge portion of my review and I know they are not the end of the world, but I want to share them because I believe it would be quite simple to avoid situations like this in the future and make the guest experience that much more pleasant at The Sweet. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Oslo!

Location is convenient, about 10 mins walk from Oslo S. although it is in the direction nearer to the office buildings and away from the attractions. Breakfast spread is amazing and tastes good. Room and bathroom are spacious, bed is soft and comfortable. The only drawback is the amenities. There is no toothbrush provided, and I find the shampoo, conditioner, and hand wash a little too mild / diluted, would have preferred it to be thicker and foamier. Body soap is ok.

Das Zimmer verfügt außerdem über ein Doppelbett, sodass es für eine Person ausreicht. Allerdings schien es nur noch wenige Töpfe und Heizgeräte zu geben, sodass der Verleih beendet war. Ich ging mehrmals in den ersten Stock, um heißes Wasser zu holen. Auch wenn keine Reinigung erfolgte, war es völlig in Ordnung, da es sich um einen Aufenthalt von 2 Nächten handelte. Das Innere ist wunderschön. Es ist günstig und empfehlenswert.

Mein Aufenthalt im Scandic Holmekollen war wirklich wunderbar. Das Hotel bietet eine entspannte Atmosphäre und einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Umgebung. Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam und immer mit einem warmen Lächeln zur Stelle. Die Kombination aus der ruhigen Atmosphäre und der Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals machte meinen Aufenthalt wirklich angenehm. Ich kann das Scandic Holmekollen jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der einen ruhigen Rückzugsort mit atemberaubender Aussicht und außergewöhnlichem Service sucht.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage und eignet sich daher gut für Stadterkundungen. Die meisten Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Allerdings ist es eher eine einfache Unterkunft als ein komfortabler Aufenthaltsort – Annehmlichkeiten wie Wasserkocher, Taschentücher, Hausschuhe und Toilettenartikel (Zahnbürste usw.) fehlten. Wenn Sie nur eine einfache, schnörkellose Unterkunft an einem guten Ort suchen, ist es die richtige Wahl.

Highly recommended. The hotel is part of an old post office, located right behind a bus stop, 100m from a tram stop and 500m from Oslo Central Station. There are restaurants just downstairs or nearby. The room is large enough and well-equipped, with a washing machine, a big drying rack, a microwave and all utensils. There is a public room for (self-service, super convenient, pretty large space) luggage storage facilities and all the necessites (tea packs, towels, linens, and ear plugs etc., though it is quiet at night) Everything is done on app, including check-in/out and opening the doors. However, the door-opening function in the app doesn't work sometimes so you have to use code instead (there's no reception). Also, you have to go through some stairs at entrance and a winding passage to reach your room. The room is a little bit dark at night (even with all the lights on) for reading and writing. The TV is located in a weird position.

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut und praktisch. Die Zimmer sind zwar klein, aber einfach und sauber, was akzeptabel ist. Ich kam gut gelaunt an, da ich einen Tag früher in Oslo war, um meine Kreuzfahrt mit Silver Sea in die Arktis anzutreten. Beim Einchecken erwähnte ich ausdrücklich meine Kreuzfahrtbuchung für die folgende Nacht. Die Rezeptionistin fragte nach und sagte, man habe spezielle Vorkehrungen getroffen, damit ich das Zimmer nicht wechseln müsse, und ich könne einfach am nächsten Tag meinen Schlüssel verlängern. Ich war begeistert und fand den Service des Hotels sehr zuvorkommend. Als ich jedoch am nächsten Morgen zur Rezeption ging, um meinen Schlüssel abzuholen, wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass die Verlängerung meines Aufenthalts zusätzliche 500 Kronen kosten würde! Solche widersprüchlichen Aussagen des Hotelmanagements lassen vermuten, dass der Hotelservice dringend verbessert werden muss! Auch für meine Rückreise habe ich einen längeren Aufenthalt. Ich frage mich, ob das bedeutet, dass ich ein Zimmer-Upgrade benötige?! Ich bin sehr unzufrieden. Außerdem ist das Bett klein, und der Frühstückskoch war sehr unfreundlich.

Das Zimmer ist klein! Das Gepäck ist schwer zu öffnen, und es ist fast im Zimmer zu Bett. Glücklicherweise ist das Zimmer noch komplett. Sehr nahe der Bahnhof. Frühstücksmittel sind gut, dekorieren Sie es.

great boutique hotel! only unfortunate thing is that the breakfast only opens at 8am on weekends so we missed it due to an early flight, but they made up for it with a breakfast to-go when we checked out!
