From the bottom of my heart I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff of the hotel. Your hard work is invaluable! Everything in the hotel is made with love and care. Each piece of furniture is in its place. Everything is harmonious and really magnificent! The service is impeccable. Soft ice-cream and welcome drinks for the guests in the lobby made our waiting for dinner enjoyable over watching a beautiful sunset there. The dinner was amazing with its delicate dishes and polite waiters. Onsen, with its outdoor bath and stunning rooms for women with floor-to-ceiling windows from where you could see the bath itself, is marvellous! I'd never felt such peaceful atmosphere in a ryokan before.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und das Bett war komfortabel. sehr sauber und ruhig. Komfortable Bett mit fester und weicher Kuchen Verfügbarkeit. Onsen und Fitnessraum sind auch verfügbar. Trocknungsraum für Skiausrüstung und Spielraum für Kinder. Service war sehr responsiv und spricht Englisch gut genug, um die Anfrage zu verstehen. Lage ist nahe zum Ski Resort, aber sehr weit von allem anderen entfernt, wenn Sie nicht fahren. Ihr Shuttle Bus zum Bahnhof nur 3 mal am Morgen und am Nachmittag betrieben. und es gibt nur 2 Essen Restaurant, es sei denn, Sie buchen raus. Nichts viel zu tun am Abend und in der Nacht. Anständiges Essen und Atmosphäre. Frühstücksoptionen sind jeden Tag gleich, aber die Variante war ok.

The hotel is nice, from the station about 10 minutes walk almost in a straight line, wake up. The room was originally wrong, it was reserved for smokers, even though we don't smoke, the room was given the appropriate one, the smell in it was just not very good, like for those who don't smoke at all, it started already on the floor.But the staff, fortunately, were able to find us a replacement for a non-smoking room, yes, less, yes one big bed instead of two, but with stunning mountain views and a coffee machine. The hotel located in good location, with walking distance to the city center area where you can find shops, restaurants, or even Matsumoto Castle. Parking lot provided with fees but it’s quite convenient. The most favorite from this hotel is there’re plenty of amenities – shampoo, conditioner, shower gel from a lot of brands that you can select by yourself at the lobby.

I’ve stayed at many ryokans throughout my travels—often making up half of each trip—but this one felt a bit different. It seemed to be run by just one person, who I assume is the owner. Everything was self-service, which might be understandable considering it was the most affordable option among the ryokans in the area. Most amenities required an extra fee, such as towels. Payment was made by dropping coins into a basket and making your own change, which wasn’t very convenient—especially since I didn’t carry much cash. One thing I appreciated was the luggage delivery service. I was able to leave my bag at the lobby before check-out and have it sent to Toyama Station (for about 4,000 JPY, cash only). What stood out was the creativity in the shared spaces. There were several common rooms designed for relaxing and spending time—perfect if you’re traveling with friends. You could play ping pong, read books, watch TV, or use the canteen, which had a microwave and dishes available. They even had coin-operated massage chairs and a small fitness room. However, I must mention two important downsides: 1. Limited nearby dining options – Many restaurants shown as open on Google Maps were actually closed. The only one that was open had extremely slow service—I waited nearly an hour for dinner. 2. Insects—large ones – Unfortunately, I encountered big insects in my room, which made it hard to sleep. (He even provided insect-catch tape for me while introduce the room) I stayed awake most of the night, worrying it might come back—especially stressful since I had to get up early the next morning to catch a bus to Ogizawa. Minds you, stairs only, need to carry your luggage down by yourself. Overall, while it offers good value for the area and has unique communal features, this ryokan may not suit travelers who prefer full service, cashless payment, or guaranteed comfort.

Enjoyed our stay very much! The room was clean and spacious. Proximity to the outlet mall and train station was excellent plus the shuttle to the mall and station was efficient.

Wir verbrachten 2 Nächte in Prince nach den ersten 2 Nächten in Kusatsu unserem Stadtteil. Das Hotel sah unterwälzend an der Ankunft und der Frontbüroservice war effizient, aber Kursor im Vergleich zu der warmen Gastfreundschaft, die wir im ryokan Aufenthalt hatten. Es war eine niedrige Saison und das Hotel war sehr ruhig und hatte eine ”kühle” Atmosphäre. Ich war noch enttäuscht, als wir unser Zimmer gezeigt wurden, das auf dem niedrigsten Stock mit einfacher Gartenblick war. Auf Anfrage des Check-in-Personals für eine Umstellung des Zimmers auf dem oberen Stock und eine mehr Scenic-View wurde mir gesagt, es gibt eine Upgrade-Gebühr, die ich akzeptierte. Das neue Zimmer war die gleiche Größe und Konfiguration, aber auf einem oberen Stock mit schöner Aussicht auf Mt Asama. Während ich die Gebühr bezahlen wollte, kann ich nicht helfen, sondern ihre Praxis mit allen Hotels vergleichen, die ich in all diesen Jahren geblieben habe, wo Zimmerveränderungen erfreulich waren, solange der Zimmertyp gleich bleibt. Die Einrichtungen des Hotels waren mir jedoch sehr erfreut und ich genossen die allgemeine Erfahrung. Der Hotelaufenthalt war das fantastische Aussicht auf Asama in einem hochrangigen Esszimmer mit vollem Glasfenster. Wir konnten für beides Frühstück unterschiedliche Tischsitze haben, da das Hotel wenig besetzt war, was uns unterschiedliche Perspektiven für die Landschaft gab. Das andere Highlight des Hotels ist die Onsen-Anlage, die in einem separaten Gebäude auf einem höheren Boden liegt, über eine selbstbediente Autobahn zugänglich. Neben Asama im Freien ist es eine gemeinsame Lounge, die ebenso wunderschöne Aussicht auf Asama hat. Wir genossen unsere Zeit in den Ohren und in der Lounge. Was Ich würde zurück zum Prinz Asama und die Landschaft während einer anderen Saison erleben!

Hotel La Vigne Hakuba was a wonderful place to stay. The hotel has a beautiful minimalist design and feels clean, cozy, and very welcoming. Both the lobby and rooms were pleasantly scented, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The concierge team was extremely helpful and the overall service throughout the stay was excellent. The room was spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully designed with a very functional layout. The bedding was also very comfortable. The hotel also provides excellent facilities for skiers, including a dedicated storage and locker room for ski equipment, as well as a separate shower room where guests can freshen up and change after skiing on the day of check-out. Overall, a fantastic stay at Hotel La Vigne Hakuba — highly recommended.
