Really lovely hotel in a great location. Place was very clean. The staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent. The food was also very nice. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend to others.

I’d describe this hotel as utilitarian. No decor or warmth at all. The common areas are spacious and quite bare.Table and chairs at the restaurant are plain brown wood, The lobby is sparsely furnished with some worn , drab and very uncomfortable seats. Bathrooms are the same. Just the very bare essentials, not even a box of tissue paper ( and thin toilet paper) We travelled long hours,  arrived at 22:00 looking forward to a good shower …not to be. We were up for a bad start. There  was just a trickle of water not enough to bathe or properly brush teeth either. That could have been a whole area problem as we were told that water pressure can sometimes drop in some areas of the city. We changed rooms , water pressure  wasn’t much better the next day either, the water flow improved just a little and remained as such the whole week. We had paid for 5 nights and ended up staying as the city was packed that week . To go looking for another hotel during the G20 summit which Rio was hosting that week of November 2024 would not be an easy task.  On the positive side, staff was pleasant and accommodating, bed was comfortable and from our perspective, the breakfast buffet was the best feature of this hotel offering abundant variety of  food to meet all tastes- cereal, fruits and cheeses, cold cuts, several hot savory breakfast  dishes - incl. some Brazilian regional dishes as well, a huge selection of breads, cakes, good coffee, and more. Very satisfying. Including breakfast in the booking is highly recommended.  The good fare offered at the hotel at lunch and dinner not good at all. However, there are also three of four restaurants lined up on a small stretch within 5 min walking distance of the hotel- one of them is a very good authentic European Portuguese cuisine and wine. Aprox. US$ 52 for a meal for two. On the same cluster of shops there is a well established Brazilian cuisine restaurant with a good menu where one can eat well for anything  between US$ 12  to US$ 15 and a steak house similar to the Australian Outback steak house.  There are also other eateries snd convenience shops, a pharmacy on the same stretch ( 5 min walk ffrom the hotel) including a 24 hr laundromat where one can expect to wash and dry a load for about US$ 7.  As for location, this hotel is not close to the most well known districts of Rio - places like Copacabana, Ipanema , Leblon - but Barra da Tijuca is a special area in itself and arguably has the best beach in town. The hotel is just a 10 - 15 min taxi ride to Barra Shopping-  the largest and best shopping mall in the whole state of Rio de Janeiro where one can find anything,  including restaurants (recommend trying Jappa all you can eat Japanese food spread for US$ 26 as in Nov 2024). On the whole , when compared with the fashionable and pricey districts of Copacabana , Ipanema Leblon  this hotel is good value for money . I’d stay there again if they fixed the shower situation b’cause this feature matters for me.

Lage ist topp- direkt an der Copacabana- mit dem 30. Stock der höchste Pool an der Copacabana ; leider Pool sehr klein, manchmal keine Handtücher; keine umkleide- duschen und umziehen in der Sauna geht 😉 empfohlen Upgrade auf super Luxus darin ist ein Frühstück im Restaurant im 30. Stock mit Blick auf die Copacabana drin - super. Leider ist WLAN eine Qual 🥹 ständig neu einwählen- das können auch viel billigere Hotels besser 🙄

Sehr gutes Hotel. Gut gelegen mit Blick auf den Strand. Etwas weit von den Stränden von Ipanema und Copacabana entfernt, aber die U-Bahn-Station ist 700 Meter entfernt. Das Personal ist aufmerksam auf die Kunden. Bei einem Aufenthalt von 10 Tagen hingegen besteht hinsichtlich der Halbpension keine Wahl zwischen Abend und Mittag. Nur abends. Die Gerichte variieren kaum von Abend zu Abend. Herzhaftes Frühstück für jeden Touristen (angelsächsisch, europäisch, brasilianisch usw.) Geräumiges Zimmer. Herrlicher Blick auf das Meer. Kleiner Nachteil: unbeheizter Außenpool (im Juni)

Decepcionado. Eu já havia estado uma outra vez no hotel, contudo dessa vez foi bem decepcionante. Atendimento na piscina péssimo, pessoal muito desatencioso, serviço demorado. Na recepção também outra lástima, muito despreparo, falta de educação e soberba. Houve um caso a parte que o hotel seque pediu desculpas a nos hóspedes, e bem constrangedor. Não vale o preço que cobra, tão pouco reflete a marca Fasano que estampa na fachada. Ao Grupo Fasano, sugiro uma intervenção no hotel do Rio, pois ele pode manchar sua forte marca de luxo, bom atendimento e respeito ao cliente.

Das ist ein sehr beeindruckendes Hotel, das ich je erlebt habe. Der beeindruckendste Aspekt ist der Service und Diego ist eine Legende! Alles, was Sie brauchen, kann von Diego super, professionell, systematisch, genau, schnell und warm, genau wie Magie und Wunder gelöst und verwaltet werden. Wenn ich höheren Score hätte, hätte ich für Diego einen Triple-Punkte-Scor als vollen Score gegeben! Ich bin wirklich froh, die Tage in diesem Hotel zu erinnern!!!

I recently stayed at the Hotel Itajuba in Rio and had a generally positive experience. It's a solid choice for travelers looking for a well-located, large hotel with good value. Location: The hotel's location is one of its biggest strengths. It is very well-connected to Rio's main attractions: · Christ the Redeemer: Approximately 6km away. A taxi costs around 20 BRL and takes about 20 minutes (Christ the Redeemer ticket 128 BRL per person). · Sugarloaf Mountain: Approximately 7km away. A taxi costs around 20 BRL and takes about 20 minutes (Ticket for sugarloaf is 195 BRL per person). . From Airport (GIG): About 20km away. A taxi cost me 50-60 BRL and the journey took about an hour (depending on traffic). There are also plenty of shops and restaurants for food and essentials in the immediate vicinity. Room & Amenities: The hotel itself is a large, 15-floor building. The rooms are adequate, clean, and provide the basic necessities. However, a notable downside for some travelers will be the lack of tea and coffee making facilities (kettle) in the room. The breakfast is available and has a decent spread, but it has significant limitations for vegetarian. Service: A standout feature was the exceptional service from the reception staff, specifically Marcos. They were incredibly helpful, provided excellent guidance for sightseeing, and were very kind and soft-spoken. Their assistance greatly improved my stay. Important Note for Vegetarians: Warning for vegetarian travelers: Options are extremely limited. Both the hotel breakfast and the nearby food shops offer very few vegetarian choices. I highly recommend bringing or buying your own snacks and food to ensure you have suitable meals. Considering the cost of taxis to attractions and the overall convenience, the hotel offers good value. The helpful staff adds significant value to the experience. Hotel Itajuba is a good, practical base for exploring Rio's famous landmarks. Its great location and wonderfully helpful staff are major positives.

Das Zimmer war schön mit schönen Aussichten vom Balkon. Ich genossen meinen Aufenthalt und ich würde wieder bleiben ! :).

Wir mögen es sehr. Es ist schön, gut gelegen, gut Frühstück, angenehm, begeisterte Mitarbeiter, großartige Kosten-Nutzen-Vergünstigung. Der einzige Negativpunkt ist, dass das Garten unseres Zimmers ein wenig schmutzig war, das der Frühstücksrestaurant tbm. Es war alles perfekt, aber wenn jemand die Details beachtet, wird es noch besser.

Wir buchten dieses Hotel im November zu einem überhöhten Preis von 1.500 USD für 4 Nächte, in der Annahme, dass wir an Silvester Zugang zum Dach hätten, da auf der Website des Hotels für diesen Abend keine Veranstaltung mit Eintrittskarten angegeben war. Als wir ankamen, teilte uns das Personal mit, dass es sich tatsächlich um eine Veranstaltung mit Eintrittskarten für zusätzliche 300 USD handelte. Vielleicht war es unser Versehen, aber wir haben die Website durchsucht, bevor wir zu einem so hohen Preis buchten, und es war nicht da. Der Manager war sehr hilfsbereit und konnte bei Bedarf eine Stornierung vornehmen, aber letztendlich waren wir zu müde, um wieder ein- und auszupacken und einen weiteren Tag mit Reisen zu verschwenden, also blieben wir und kauften die Tickets. Check-in ist um 14:00 Uhr. Wir kamen um 13:00 Uhr an und sie sagten, sie hätten ein Zimmer für uns. Es war noch nicht fertig, also gingen wir zum Pool, wo der Service wieder wunderbar war. Die Rezeption zeigte uns 2 Zimmer zur Auswahl, was großartig war, schickte mir dann aber eine Nachricht und sagte, sie hätten um 14:30 Uhr ein anderes Zimmer fertig. Wir gingen um 15 Uhr runter und das Zimmer wurde wieder einmal gewechselt und das neue Zimmer war immer noch nicht fertig. Wir bekamen um 16 Uhr ein Zimmer ohne Entschuldigung. Das Zimmer war Standard. Starker Reinigungsgeruch, aber in Ordnung. Der Duschschlauch blieb nicht an Ort und Stelle. Der Duschabfluss funktionierte überhaupt nicht – wir mussten das Wasser jedes Mal in die Ecke treten, damit es ablief, sonst blieben Wasserpfützen bis zum nächsten Tag. Das Waschbecken lief auch nicht ab. Die Toilette spülte nicht mehr. Wir hatten einen Teller mit einer Praline von Silvester, der am nächsten Tag voller Ameisen war. Wir sind sehr ordentliche Mädchen und sehen es ein bisschen nach, wenn ältere Hotels einige Mängel haben, aber die Erfahrung für den Preis, den wir bezahlt haben, ließ uns die Airbnbs schätzen, in denen wir übernachtet hatten, bevor wir hier eincheckten. Die Lage ist großartig, das Fitnessstudio und der Pool sind großartig, aber für Silvester oder Karneval nicht das Geld wert.
