This hotel is at the end of the lake. The hotel serves a really tasty buffet lunch for 15.90 Euros. It includes, salad, soup, probably 3 or 4 meat dishes and  dessert. I was there 10 minutes before a huge group , maybe 50 in all arrived and I had to hurry myself to get my food because it would be a long wait. When I was eating people can’t squeeze by each other but I only ate there once and  since it will rain that afternoon I didn’t waste any time. I have to say the staff was ok. A lady checked me in quite efficiently. I paid the occupancy tax and I got the key. When I arrrived at 11:45 am, there was no one in the small reception office. A waitress was really serving diners. There is a man who worked at the deli /sausage shop next to it to help out. I have to say the staff there in general wasn’t that welcoming. I wish they had been more pleasant and show a little smile and happiness in their work. It seemed like she was there because she had no other choice.   The room is 12 at the end of a long hallway. There is a big window. The room is small but I was fine with it. No complaint. The other thing is I wish they put a table lamp on the small desk. Otherwise, the room has enough shelf space for me. The morning buffet is excellent. It offered some tomatoes, small baby coins , cucumbers, many different of rolls, several varieties of ham , salami, egg, sausages, yogures, juice, cereal.  The coffee is made with coffee beans and it was excellent. The breakfast is the best. The small village has practically nothing. There is another hotel 10 to 15 minutes that serve dinner. Another town Bad Goisern is 2.4 miles to the north accessible by train or by bus where there is a Hofer ( Aldi in the U S ) and other supermarkets and restaurants. If you don’t have a car, you have to be prepared something or pay to eat at the one and only restaurant that I knew. On the other hand, this hotel has a microwave oven and one water kettle in case you have instant noodles. The bakery a few steps is expensive. I had a coffee and a sweet roll for 8 Euros.  The hotel is a few steps from a trail that takes you down 6 miles to Obertraun . The trail is in good condition and a large distance is by the lake. You can find the trail in Alltrails. There is a restaurant called Seecafé Obertraun that you can rest to have a sandwich , coffee or a beer. The sitting is by the lake and there is a clean restroom . The waitress and waiter were both friendly.  If I have to do it again, I would take a bus to Hallstatt from there . I think the bus number is 542 to 544. It should be cheaper than the ferry which is a rip off . 12 Euros for a 25 minutes ride. Bus is cheaper . The ferry is a fraud and it shouldn’t charge that much. I didn’t know there is a bus connection from there. All in all, this hotel is quite decent. The hotel doesn’t serve dinner but the buffet lunch is quite adequate. If you eat at 2:00 pm ( I think it closes at 2:30 pm ), you won’t need to dinner. Aside from the not so welcoming one out of 3 staff members, price is unbeatable. I notice that the price doesn’t change if you book early or late and doesn’t use dynamic pricing which I hate. If there is availability, you pay the same price which is more than fair. I read that one guest complaInts about the smell from the kitchen and the meat market next to it. It isn’t really an issue. There is a door on the second floor leading down to the kitchen and meat market. Someone closed the door in the morning. Some people just was so nitpicking when they are angry which is not justifiable. I believe the owner offers a decent , clean room for a very fair price as Hallstatt is really touristy and this hotel is a much better option that staying in Hallstatt and pay overpriced food and lodging with every shop sells souvenirs. If you are in the area, this hotel is an excellent choice. 

Very well equipped, spacious apartment. Really appreciated the laundry room which has amazing automated laundry liquid dispenser. The whole process of checking in and out was done via the app. Needed Google translate to understand the app but otherwise the whole process works surprisingly well. The hotel is not staffed in person but it’s very well designed and you can get free parking and even free bikes to use. Very good experience overall and would highly recommend.

Ich habe erst gestern dort übernachtet. Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, und das Holz verlieh ihm eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Die Kinder waren besonders von den Etagenbetten begeistert. Das Frühstück war eher einfach, ein typisches Western-Frühstück. Aber der Ausblick aus dem Fenster war absolut atemberaubend. Ich hoffe, im Winter wiederzukommen, um Ski zu fahren – das wäre bestimmt auch wunderschön!

Das Zimmer und der Balkon liegen zum Hallstätter See und der große Seegarten steht Hotelgästen exklusiv zur Verfügung. Die Zimmerausstattung ist einwandfrei. Was den Gast noch mehr bewegte, war, dass der Chef, als er den früh ankommenden und völlig durchnässten Gast sah, sofort zwei Hochleistungs-Haartrockner hervorholte und mir ein Zimmer zum schnellen Entfeuchten und Aufräumen räumte. Als ich am nächsten Tag auscheckte, war es immer noch das Gleiche. Ich ging etwa fünf Minuten zum Bahnhof und der Chef holte einen Regenschirm heraus. Ich war entschlossen, ihn nicht mitzunehmen , schnitt es in einen Poncho und half mir beim Anziehen. Das Gefühl der Dankbarkeit lässt sich nicht in Worten wie „Zuhause fühlen“ zusammenfassen. Danach reiste dieser kostbare Poncho mit mir, bis ich nach Hause zurückkehrte, um meinen Freunden die berührenden Geschichten dieser Auslandsreise zu erzählen. Nochmals vielen Dank an Lake House Hotel.

Man kann dieses Hotel nur als ein typisches B&B bezeichnen. Dieser Ort liegt wirklich tief in den Bergen. Wir fuhren zu P1 und parkten, bevor wir in den Shuttlebus umstiegen. Aber auch wenn dieser Ort klein und gut ausgestattet ist, erwarten Sie nichts jeglicher Service. Als wir ankamen, wurden wir von einem asiatischen Mädchen begrüßt. Ich werde Ihnen von den Einrichtungen und der Ausrüstung erzählen, die ich Ihnen erzählen sollte, und ich werde Ihnen auch beim Tragen von Gepäck helfen. Es ist anstrengend, dreieinhalb zu fahren Stunden bis zum Hotel. Plötzlich sehe ich ein asiatisches Gesicht und fühle mich sofort freundlich. Ich muss die Initiative ergreifen und sie fragen, wie man die Heizung einschaltet. , sonst wird es nachts und früh morgens auch nachts extrem kalt Österreich Anfang Oktober!

Spacious room. Short walk from Hallstatt lahn bus stop. In front of the hotel is the ferry pier. In room Netflix available. Breakfast was superb good with lots of variety. Worth paying for the high rates for a good night rest

Dies ist ein unvergessliches Resort, wie in einem Märchenland, mit einem See daneben. Das Resort verfügt über viele Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder und eignet sich daher hervorragend zum Spielen für die ganze Familie. Auf der anderen Seite des Flusses liegt Hatschepsut, die schönste Stadt der Welt. Wir wohnten in einer Blockhütte, was für Asiaten wie mich eine Seltenheit ist. Es war sehr romantisch und verträumt hier und ich wollte gar nicht weg. An das Resort angeschlossen ist ein kleiner Lebensmittelladen mit einem großen Angebot an Lebensmitteln. Die Zimmer verfügen über eine komplette Küchenausstattung und Mikrowellen. Nachdem Sie im Laden Lebensmittel gekauft haben, können Sie ins Ferienhaus zurückkehren und diese zubereiten. Sie müssen sich keine Sorgen machen, dass Sie nichts zu essen haben. Die Bushaltestelle nach Hasutat befindet sich direkt vor dem Resort. Die Unterkunft ist hier doppelt so günstig wie auf der Hasselter Seite. Nach der ersten Nacht wollte ich am nächsten Tag unbedingt noch einen Tag länger bleiben, aber leider war das Hotel ausgebucht. Die nette Dame gab mir auch ein kostenloses Frühstück, das beste Frühstück, das ich während meiner Reise hatte. Beim Auschecken fragte mich die Dame freundlich, was ich vom Resort halte. Ich sagte, dass ich unbedingt noch einen Tag bleiben wollte, und der Computer suchte sofort noch einmal nach mir, aber leider waren keine Zimmer mehr frei, also musste ich abreisen und nach Hasselt fahren, um dort noch einen Tag zu bleiben. Ich hoffe, dass ich das nächste Mal in diese wunderschöne Stadt zurückkehren und ein paar Tage länger bleiben kann.

Visibly clean, but dirty if you looked close (moldy shower). In the standard double that I stayed in, you will get two (only 2) outlets in your room and neither will be near the bed. You will have one trashcan in the bathroom that is smaller than a gallon/two liters. Other than that, not horrible. The restaurant is very expensive if you’re traveling on a budget (€40 Weiner schnitzel, so I would recommend finding something else to eat. If you plan on having more than a coffee for breakfast, definitely get a breakfast plan st the hotel. It is about €12 a morning and a cappuccino will run you about €8 euros in the resturant. A breakfast plan gets you whatever you want in the resturant in the morning for free!  If you’re planning on exploring the area, you’ll definitely want a car or bike, do NOT rely on public transit or you will end up paying a lot for taxis. You also cannot rely on uber because you’re too far away from Salzburg.

Disappointing stay at this hotel. 1. Thermostat not working within the room were the ambient temperature I guess was around 25 degrees. As front desk to resolve and was advised that none of the thermostats within the hotel worked as it was centrally heated. Advise was to open the window...obviously the front desk rep would not have slept in this room with the window open to the traffic noise. 2. Paid room tax by cash upon arrival and requested receipt for expenses and was advised i would receive this at checkout. So at checkout I was then advised the hotel had emailed the receipt to me and as you can guess I never received. Front desk then advised it was being resent and likewise never received. To the manager...I will ensure a return visit to your hotel in the coming weeks and expect you to refund my 4.50 Euros!

Ingesamt hat alles gut geklappt. Es waren alle sehr freundlich. Ich möchte nur darauf hinweisen wenn das ein Gast nicht aushält, dass es nicht möglich ist ein Fenster zu kippen um frische Luft zu bekommen, dann ist das Zimmer nicht geeignet. Es ist sehr klein und die ganze Nacht die Klimaanlage einzuschalten geht für mich nicht. Das Frühstück bietet alles und ist sehr gut.
