Let's start from the check in, the guy had no clue of our arrival and even after showing a chinese booking confirmation it kept being clueless. After some time he gave us a room (cheaper than the one we booked)
We then went down to show the room we booked, he changed it to the right one (on the street).
In the morning bus and people shouting from 7am woke me up and it was impossible to sleep again. We then realize that we booked mountain view room so we asked for another change to the room that we actually booked. Apart from the mismatch room for which we paid more for less, there are several more problem:
- in the first room the shower was clogged, after 3 minutes we flooded the shower and the toilet (separated from the shower).
- the advertised STAR viewing room was not existent as the window was super dirty, we asked to be cleaned but they said it was impossible to clean (then why you advertise it?)
- no hand towel, no bathroom mat, no hand soap were provided until we asked for it
- in the second room a noise from the roof started at 10pm and I couldn't sleep until 4am
I understand it can be hard the translation but this was the hardest time we had in 2 weeks in China to communicate, not saying the receptionist was rude or unfriendly but it was really difficult to get things sorted out
