Start september, I booked as a single use, a deluxe-room with kitchen (room 9) due to healthissues. Paid in advance. Prior to arrival I was contacted by sms by the ovner. He wanted to know time of arrival, but didn´t mention that i would be given another room. Had I known, I would have cancelled. On arrival I was met by the owner and given the key to room 7 half the size of the room I booked. The only possitive thing was the balcony. There was no kitchen, plates or utensils as stated in the hoteldescription. Yes even the possibility of free tee and coffee in the lounge, also as stated in the description, was impossible. The lounge was being made into an extra hotelroom and the entire hotelcorridor and outdoor space was filled with odd stuff, garbage and building material. I was told by the ovner that they overbooked my room by mistake. He seemed surprised, but it seemed as an act. He didn,t mention any refund for my convenience or the fact that I had paid more for the room I booked. Not until i mentioned refund, he first offered a dinner in a nearby restaurant. It turns out later he owns it so it seemed like a cheap refund to me. I asked for money which was a problem as i paid in advance. It ended with him paying med some swedish kr cash. But the 3 days I spent there caused convenience, because I really needed a kitchen. Now I had to buy stuff in order to eat take-out. The pictures of room 7 is not as shown on booking sites. There is no headboard and tables near the bed. In fact no tablespace at all. the TV is not 50 " but much smaller. There is no cupboard, drawers or shelves. Beside the shelves filled with 100 books. I counted :) . In front of the bookshelves there is no seating area but a desk with a fridge and a couple of glasses. It is described as the " working area", but with no space for work. You have to unplug the lamp and tv if you need a plug. There is none near the bed. Your suitcase takes up the entire room which is about 10 m2 effective. The bed is so soft that you almost end up on the floor when turning at night. The breakfast in café møller next door is story to itself. Customers pay 99 skr for brunch. Hotels guests eats for free. The atmosphere is cold. The asian woman working there wipes the tables with used napkins from the customers plates. The food is unpleasant, like cold boiled egss, lukewarm things supposed to be served cold. In generel the hygiene lacks. Before departure i talked to the couple that had gotten my room. This way I found out, that the owner had probably maken more money by given them my room. Strange also to experience after having been told the room was doublebooked, you could stille book it on sites.
