From check in to check out everybody in a customer facing role was courteous, professional and most importantly friendly. A special mention to the three front of house staff who were working the Dinner service on August 1st, knowledgeable and enthusiastic for sure, but they managed to take it up a level and create a wonderful atmosphere Exceptional food from the chef and his brigade, I love a menu that is basically a page as opposed to a book, knowing that each dish is going to receive full attention. A Three course or a Taster menu are offered, on this occasion we didn’t order wine but the wines on offer are a perfect selection to complement the dishes The room was perfect, very comfortable and welcoming after a long drive, toiletries are from a local provider and are perfect whether you jump in the shower or soak in the Slipper Bath Breakfast was another winner, and again the front of house staff were wonderful. I’ve tried to think of any downsides to our stay and that’s proving difficult, initially I noticed the lack of a small room fridge but in all honesty on this occasion I doubt we would’ve used it anyway, I guess one would be handy for those who prefer milk with their tea/coffee instead of the provided UHT portions which look wrong in most hotel rooms to be fair Checkout again was really smooth after breakfast and a last walk around the gardens. A return visit is most certainly on the cards, primarily based on the staff involved in our first visit Highly recommended Gary Mac & Sharon room 12

From the moment we arrived all members of staff we encountered from reception to the bar to the restaurant were welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough to help us with anything we asked for. The menu gave us plenty of options to choose from each night and the food was delicious. Our room (in the old dairy) was small but extremely comfortable and welcoming. Thank you Team Eckington, for a wonderful stay. My husband and I hadn't visited before, but will be sure to visit again.

Beautiful location and buildings, staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival The room was amazing. We stayed in the converted parlour building, the room was decorated to a very high standard and exceeded our expectations! Arguably the nicest stay we’ve had in the UK. Thank you!

Lovely setting in traditional buildings with modern decor. Comfy bed, and a peaceful overnight. We had a great dinner and breakfast. Thev staff were both friendly and efficient. A lovely place for our overnight stay. Would be very happy to stay again.

We have been there 3 -4 times over a Ten year period so had a good expectation as to the rooms and more especially the food. However, this place is now a shadow of what it once was, The Taster which is why we had a revisit was very disappointing it says 7 courses if you could count a cob slice of cold bread followed by a similar bread with a pate ( sorry Chicken liver Confit) as dish number 2 the main course in this taster was beef served tepid all other dishes are served cold, The 3 course set meal contains at least 1 of the dishes off the Taster menu and portion size is hit and miss, in fact a guest we were sat next to commented that her main dish on the 3 course meal was twice the size of ours, mind you that was Friday and we had the 3 course meal on Saturday. At no time during both meals was there a member of staff available, the only time they appeared was with plates to serve the guests then they went away . Breakfast Saturday was again not up to scratch as no one was there to greet us and take us to a table, we had to go looking for the waitress who was in the kitchen leaning on a worktop having a coffee, when eventually we sat down the breakfast menu was not explained to us, it was another guest sat near by who asked if he could have corn flakes and a fruit juice as well prior to his full English breakfast at that point it had not been suggested to him nor mentioned. Sunday service was marginally better as the breakfast was explained to us.

Room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Rainfall shower was refreshing but could do with hand held attachment. Bedding was high quality and quilt was warm. Breakfast was freshly cooked and good quality. We had evening meal on first night which wasn't cheap but was delicious. Staff were friendly and very welcoming.

I had this Experience as a Christmas Gift. I had a really enjoyable time and Chef Glynn was extremely knowledgeable and skilled. I would thoroughly recommend this course and I am sure others, if delivered with the same competence as this one. Eckington Manor is an extremely nice venue.

If you’re looking for a 5 star experience 25 mins away from Three counties Showground then this is it. Car parking is right in front of reception. Which is in a Dutch barn across courtyard from rooms. Our room was a superkingsize bed, very comfy, with a small sofa in the corner. Tea,coffee bics and a bottle of water provided. Breakfast was on first floor of Dutch barn. We were in abit of rush as had to be at showground for 9, but it was great. Full breakfast looked delicious. We would recommend and will stay here again. It’s an easy w5 mins from Showground. That’s with busy traffic too.
