The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream

Oh my word- don’t hesitate to book this place!!! It’s beautiful. Rooms are small but very cosy with everything you need!!!! Spotlessly clean. The receptionist/ person greeting you was so friendly and helpful- a lovely lady (sorry I forgot her name - a pretty blonde lady). Breakfast was very good (a help yourself/paper plates setup) and you could eat in the grounds if you preferred. Loved sitting by the river - or swinging in the hammock! Loved the fairy lights at night! Short walk into Woodstock. Wished my sister and I could have stayed longer!

So sweet! Loved the vibe. Clean and beautiful. Loved the morning breakfast near the stream. Wonderful hospitality. Clearly the owners take pride in this place. Walking distance from town. Loved it! I would come back! Pure nature! The sound of the mill stream so soothing.

This will be a positive review, & for it to be useful I think I need to explain what my wife & I look for in a hotel. The top priorities are location & cleanliness, & the "Woodstock Inn on the Millstream" checks both boxes nicely. Only a couple of "blocks" away from the town center, the rooms are always very clean, & can pass by a white glove inspection. The people there are always nice, & the breakfast offered is quite adequate. Perhaps fans of elaborate breakfast offerings including eggs & meats might not be impressed, but for those of us avoiding unhealthy food, this is not much of a compromise. My wife & I being vegan, we appreciate that the butter substitute "Earth Balance" is available, & 3 different types of nut milks well. But the pièce de résistance of the breakfast experience is the area outside of the office, where tables & chairs are strewn around a nice garden overlooking the Millstream. I can think of no better way to start a day, sitting there w/ loved one or a good book, or both, & sharing some bread pieces w/ the adorable chipmunks. It can be a bit buggy - emphasis on " a bit." I sat there for quite some time 2 mornings in late August, & all I saw were a few ants, & the occasional spider - tiny mind you. Ants clear away the crumbs w/o bothering anyone, & if you are not fond of flying insects, spiders are your friends. It is a wonderful experience, & my wife & I cannot wait to return. Breakfast by the stream, lunch & dinner @ the wonderful "Garden Café" about 1/3 of a mile away by the Village Green... You cannot go wrong!

My friends and I each had our own room here and we all raved about this hotel. It is so charming! Every room is uniquely configured. I stayed in 8A which has a small desk, a queen bed, and a small refrigerator with a freezer. The rooms have individual air conditioning units. When we were there, it was close to 100 degrees each day so we very much appreciated the good air conditioning. Plus I loved having a little freezer as I could keep ice cream in this incredibly hot weather. We could walk into town in a few minutes. The grounds were lovely with flowers and the stream. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I have been coming to this Inn for 37 years. The linens are high end, the rooms and cottages are always immaculate, the staff are friendly, professional and helpful. This is our choice for a trip to a home away from home. We love the location and the people.

This quaint and cozy B&B was the perfect place to stay in Woodstock! The rooms were large and very comfortable. The decor was new and clean. There were great choices of breakfast foods including dairy free options. Very thoughtful and friendly! Can’t wait to go back!
