Home2 Suites by Hilton Winter Haven

This is a fairly new hotel so maybe they need more time to “work out the bugs” but they had some issues. We could not get the air conditioning to turn off, it did not shut off in the “off” position on the thermostat & the fan was always on high…If we turned the temperature up (thinking it would shut off) it started blowing warm air into the room. Eventually it shut itself off at some point like 4 AM and then the whistling noise from air rushing under the door kept us awake until we put a towel there. We told the front desk person the next morning, and they said they would put in a “work order”…When I checked back later that day, to see if any progress had been made & they said there was no work order…The ice machines were only working on the second floor…we were on the fourth floor…my wife did not like how high the beds were it almost required a step stool to get in & out of the bed It’s very clean and convenient to Legoland, which is just across the street. Also near Cypress Gardens and other attractions in Winter Haven. The breakfasts were adequate but sometimes ran low on the egg “omelets”…
