Stayed at the howard johnson wyndham in mid july, booked two nights anticipating using the swimming pool as we are in a heat wave. Got to the hotel and was told that the pool was closed due to chemicals being added,was told it would be open the following day, come next day and the pool was still closed. Unbelievable! There was no chairs or tables at the pool, doesn’t look like it’s been open yet this year. Also the pictures on priceline do not match the actual rooms and buildings very misleading. Stay away! They don’t care! There are many nicer more reputable places to stay in the area.

The location was perfect - close to the city centre and attractions. The hotel had great facilities and was very convenient. The rooms were spacious, clean and well-maintained. The beds were very comfortable and the amenities were great

Excellent experience at Howard Johnson Motel. The room was very nice and exceptionally Clean. The service was top-notch, and the overall atmosphere of the place was delightful. I highly recommend it for a comfortable stay.

Lovely Howard Johnson Williamstown , clean rooms good breakfast it fits in perfectly to the landscape of Williamstown, a quintessential NE college town. Rooms are very comfortable, quiet and well appointed. Our room was a queen double. Housekeeping is offered daily . Please offer more in room glasses; the wooden soap dish was charming Great location for visiting the Clark Art Institute as well as Williams College and all the area offers. The hotel staff was super in every way- impeccable hospitality! The front Desk Girl was awesome Thanks P

Sufficient space, not very cleqn, no top sheets, broken bathroom window, and toilet seat and the pool was disgusting. I was surprised at the continental breakfast however I imagine the quality of the bagels was as good as the cleanliness of the room. The air conditioner has a smell that is significantly disgusting.

Getting BED BUGS took over what was supposed to be the first weekend away we had in ages. A bed bug scuttled across my pajamas while up watching TV in the room. We afterwards realized we both had multiple bites (most people don't realize bitten until 1-2 days after initial bite when marks become apparent--unfortunately I'm a Google expert now on bed bugs after this mess). The decontamination process to ensure we didn't bring these home was stressful and highly time consuming. We had to cut the trip short. I almost didn't post this because it's embarrassing, but after the front desk said they would block the room but implied to keep mum about it, I feel compelled to warn others.

Room smelled terribly, shower wall was moldy, chairs were filthy, I couldn’t wait to get out of this room. Pool water was black and pool area was creepy. I would have preferred to sleep in our car than here

This motel is coasting on its location and should rent at a much bigger discount than its competitors in Williamstown. The room had a bad odor (mold, mildew?) and we were uncertain that the door really closed. The front window screen was off and the track broken. Then bathroom window was broken and I was afraid it would fall in the tub. The desk chair (not a desk) was so low that my chest was at the surface level. The chair was probably broken because it reclined so much. One of the outside stairs to the second level was rusted away and supported by two blocks of wood. I plan on appealing to Wyndham for a night's refund.

I found this establishment to be more than satisfactory for a 2-night stay to visit family. We've stayed at a number of places in this area (hotel, motel, Airbnb) over the last year and chose HJ this time because the price was too good to pass up. The room was clean, modern, and large enough that 2 adults moving about weren't bumping into each other. The casual breakfast provided was better than expected, with a clean, sunny breakfast room, a waffle maker, decent coffee, and fresh fruit, among other items. The bathroom was small and the fixtures were dated, but so what? I'd rather save $20/night than have a new bathtub for my 2 showers. I would like to see the pool become available for when we visit this area during the warmer months.
