Wyndham Garden Williamsburg Busch Gardens Area

The facility and staff were top notch as usual. This is not my first time staying and it won’t be my last. Very convenient to Water Country and Busch Gardens along with Targets right across the street. 5/5

We have stayed here for years but never found it in this condition. It has deteriorated badly. They say under construction but if that is causing the mess they need to close and reopen. The carpet was very dirty, elevators nasty and the entire place smelled. I wore shoes in the room because of sticky carpet. Wyndham needs to pull this franchise. Last but not least … a mouse kept me up all night and came out on the table in the middle of the day. We checked out. That was the last straw.

This hotel was below par. The elevator was filthy. There was a black rubber mat with debris which was not cleaned until after two days. I asked for a room as high as possible. When we stepped into the room on the 7th floor, we were appalled. This room looked worse than the cheapest motel room I've ever seen. We asked and got a room on the 5th floor. It looked decent with more furniture, at least a couch, a coffee table and a desk table. The room and the bed were comfortable. There was a TV on top of a dresser. The air conditioner worked fine. The microwave had an error code and did not work. I asked for a replacement which never arrived. There was a small coffee machine with one serving of coffee plus one decaf. I booked a King room for 2 people. The first time I've seen a bar of soap so small, that I thought it was for a doll house. The body wash was also in mini bottles which was not enough for 2 adults to use for 3 nights. There was no room service, so we ran out before day one was done. The small see through towels were an embarrassment for this type hotel. Made in India. India produces much better towels than these ones. The bathroom door was damaged. Apparently the room had been repainted some time ago without using masking tape. Two mornings, the complimentary breakfast was nothing more than cereal, mini bagels, apples, coffee and a choice of juices. On Saturday morning, when more people had checked in, there were suddenly scrambled eggs, not bad, sausages, not bad either and pancakes which looked and tasted like a cardboard disk. There was also an attempt of shredded potatoes. At some point during our stay, the hallway was filling up with large boxes containing furniture and new bathroom vanities. It turned out that our floor had become a construction zone. One conference room was also filled with boxes and junk. They left the curtains open so everyone could see the mess. I must mention that this hotel is improving their rooms. They'll probably look better in the future. Bring your own towels, soap, body wash and coffee.

Absolutely terrible hotel, the board of health needs to come shut this place down ASAP. The lobby was filthy as was the room, water leaking from ceiling, blood stains on mattress, stains all over the dressers and windows and walls, hairs in the sink. They are currently doing renovations which consists of hazardous materials left out in the open and a rotting smell throughout the hotel. Very dangerous hanging exit sign about to fall on someone. It is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The pool is drained and looks like a swamp with all the green gunk in it. Stay clear do not come here

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I booked a hotel through priceline.com that was advertised as a 3 star hotel and looked nice from the photos a description posted. BOY WAS IT THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE!!!!! This hotel was absolutely foul to say the least. There was old food left on the headboards which makes me seriously question how clean the beds were. There was mold and stains on the carpets, obvious water damage and mold around the windows, open electric receptacles, clearly sinking floors from likely structural issues as we could see steps cracks in the bricks outside the building and obvious cracking and disrepair in the stairwells. Also, by the way, shocking I know but the pool is out of order as well! They say they are going through renovations, who knows how long that has been going on, but there are also light fixtures and smoke detectors just hanging from the wires on the main floor and not attached to anything. Not only all of the above mentioned issues but as I was walking through the stairwell there were pills of some sort all over the floor. This "hotel" was terrifying and should not be allowed to operate under these conditions and Priceline should be ashamed of themselves for the false advertising they put out. Now they will not give me my money back and its been a complete run around. Shame on you Priceline you are TERRIBLE to deal with and your policies are garbage. There was obvious serious safety issues that me and my child should not have had to endure, I packed my bags and headed out because it was so bad and you've been absolutely zero help at all. I will NEVER use Priceline again and I will make sure anyone I speak to never does either!

Do Not Stay Here. It is in horrible disrepair, and under significant construction. This building is worse than any roadside motel you could think of. The beds and pillows are clearly over 10 years old, I did not find any bed bugs but I definitely definitely had to look. My first room was uninhabitable because they are using ozone machines. It was so bad I first called the front desk to report smoking in the room thinking I could get charged for somebody else smoking in the room, and was informed they were using ozone machines. My eyes were burning and my chest was irritated within minutes and we had to get a run change. The ac was turned off so the ozone was just lingering and building up. Do a quick look up about ozone machines and you will find they are a harmful snake oil product circulating in low budget hotels currently. The new room just smelled like a horse farm but that was an improvement. I can't stress enough this place is unsafe and horribly uncomfortable. The breakfast was horrible. And the pictures were deceptive, showed those waffle makers so I felt like it was a safe bet, and sure enough no waffle makers. And last but not least, yes, the pool was closed. June 21-2024 stay.

I recently stayed at the Wyndham Garden Williamsburg Busch Gardens Area from May 25-27, 2024, in room 308, and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. The sheets were stained, and my family suffered bites from what we suspect were bed bugs or mites. Despite making a complaint and requesting a refund, I have been continuously put off by the hotel management. The state of the hotel is far from what is advertised. It is run-down, dated, and not very clean. This was far from the quality we expected, and it severely impacted our stay. I strongly advise against staying here and recommend looking for different accommodations. This hotel does not live up to its promises and fails to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests. Avoid at all costs!

Beds are hard. The bathroom was not that clean. I wore shoes as the floors seemed filthy. No cleaning service or fresh towels. We ended up checking out a day early because I just couldn’t sleep on the bed another night. The reservation and check in process were quick. We have stayed at other Wyndham properties and were very pleased. This property needs attention.

Believe the bad reviews and stay somewhere else. We travel a lot and it was honestly one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. I wouldn’t have minded if it was just a case of the furnishings being outdated, but it was dirty, so many things were broken, and there were safety hazards. Half the lights didn’t work, there were stains on the bedsheets, the water leaked out of the shower, the carpet was dirty, the heater had strong gas smells coming out of it when you first turn it on, the TV didn’t work. We stayed for three nights and they didn’t our room the whole time we were there. In the gym, half the weights were missing, the treadmill was broken and the they couldn’t even replace the exercise mat that had been used so much that it looked like tissue paper. The worst part was that like other reviewers, we also had issues with mice in our room and we opened our snacks, we discovered that the mouse had chewed through our bag of bread! The couple of bright spots were friendly front staff during the day, strong water pressure in the shower, and the breakfast was decent. With the rodent issues though, I’m not sure how the hotel is still operating and we will not be staying there again unless they do some serious renovation to fix these issues.
