Bel Air Motel

Service was excellent: the hotel staff went way beyond their way to to help us. We really like how friendly the staff was, especially Yash, he let our’s and our friends car stay parked hours after we checked out and even let us use their spare bathroom to help us change after our beach trip, even though were not their guests anymore. I would highly recommend this motel. -Veena

I started coming to the Bel Air around 15 years ago. It was clean and very charming back then. However, the new owners (they bought it 4-5 years ago) have let my favorite Wildwood motel become a dump!! I came with a group of friends who occupied 6 or 7 rooms for the first time in 2 years. Every room was dirty and had something broken or not working correctly, including broken appliances, electrical outlets, a/c, broken blinds, cabinets. 2 of us had to be moved to a different room that had fewer issues. The pool is 1/4 full and filthy, with broken tiles strewn on the pool deck. I will NEVER come back, nor will any of my friends who started coming here due to my recommendation. The only thing going for this place now is the proximity to the beach. It’s so sad to see a once great place become so run down and not worth the price they charge!!

We arrived in room 102 to find one of the kitchen cabinet covers, made of particle board, hanging off the cabinet. The lights and TV didn't turn on. There was a multi-strip outlet plugged into another multi ***** outlet. When we went to report the lack of electric, the young girl didn't believe us until she went to look for herself. She came back and said it was fixed. The A/C was very loud and the room had an bad odor. When the A/C stopped, there were all kinds of noises outside out door. When taking a shower, it was difficult to adjust the water temperature. The bed had a foam topper/mattress and you rolled into the center of the bed. The ice machine didn't work. We were duped by the listing. The house keeping cart was stored right in front of our room. The only positives were that the outside looked nice and the pool was nice. This motel was built in the ~1950's, but there is no reason it can't be kept in a better condition. My wife considered sleeping in our car. We would never go back to this motel. This room should never be used until totally redone including removing the carpet. We have no idea where the positive comments came from. Did the owner add them??

Staff was very accommodating. Room was clean. When one of the air condtioners stopped working, we were moved to another room that was available. Very professional and good customer service for management to do that. Close to the beach and boardwalk. We enjoyed our three night stay.

My most recent stay was August 13 to the 15th with my family. I know some people write really bad reviews about this hotel but let me tell you it was phenomenal. They took such good care of us. The room was beautiful. The pool was beautiful and I watched it cleaned every night. Anything you need they are there to help you. They even offered early check-in. If the room was ready they offer maid service every day. You just have to ask. Kolli and Ketu were amazing !! Don’t believe any of the bad reviews if you want a nice place to stay one block from the boardwalk one block from the beach with plenty of convenient stores around this is the place to go family friendly. We loved it and will be back again and again.!!

We just recently stayed for 2 nights. We booked with 7 children & paid for 7 children but they told us different and charged us more at check in. The beds were beyond dirty. You pull the blankets all the way down and we found hair along with a broken spoon. None of that would have been there if they were taken off and cleaned. Our first night there my daughter was brushing her teeth in room 104 and the sink fell into her hands. We alerted the front desk and they said to hang it back on the hooks and it would be fine that maintenence man left for the night. We did as told and they came in to take a photo. Once the photo was taken we all turned around including the worker and the sink fell off the wall smashing around my daughter. This sink was never bolted to the wall. They came back in and cleaned the sink up but never vacuumed then laid towels around the bathroom floor. I had to sit and pick glass out of the carpet so myself and my children didn't step on it. Parking is absolutely horrible, no space to get yourself out of your car. Not somewhere we will be staying in the future.

this place is just horrible they have the audacity to charge $320 a night. this place is not worth $150 a night thats what happends when you dont do your homework....do yourself and your family a favor dont stay at this dump. they have many other places to stay in wildwood that are much nicer

We came back for another stay at the Bel Air Motel. As is the custom, it was perfect. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the bathroom a stunning pristine blue and yellow ( Owners - please never update them, Please !!) We scored the funky shaped little room in the corner. It was so darn cute, you can't imagine. It was a it rainy so we didn't use the pool, but I did get to sit with my feet in it. It was clean and pretty. The owners are always kind and helpful. I am counting the days til coming back in the fall.

We had stayed at the Bel Air for close to 20 years. Previous owner Steve and his staff did a marvelous job of maintaining the motel . Everything always well kept , clean , lots of towels, pool sparkling . Now garbage stacked up ,cans overflowing, pool is green with dirt and algae growing in it ,no heater,no filter and no one has a clue how to operate it.. I had always paid Steve cash ,this year when I arrived I found they had already charged my old credit card which Steve had on file ,without ever telling me !!. No room service ,which I can live with but only 2 bath towels ,2 hand towels and 2 wash cloths. LOL. Sandy the previous employed maid would have the bathroom stocked full ! . So pool too filthy to use ,dirty laundry stacked up by pool table so on to the gas grills . Which didn't want to work but I discovered why ,THE GAS WAS TURNED OFF BUT I knew how to turn it on ,last to 20 years with Steve. Ignitors didn't work but I had lighter.. Location and rooms were the only good thing . We helped ourselves to towels from the maids cart since they didn't use it At check out I asked about reservations for next year 2023 ,just out of curiosity ,and I was told to go online in 2023 with *********** BUT I'd be afraid to go back .Filthy pool and my wife loved the pool when Steve took care of it . OH and when people came to check in or look ing for a room ,the new people stated some unheard of high prices to these poor people.I talked to to different couples and they were charged hundreds of dollars different from us and each other I can not imagine recommending this motel to anyone . I'd love to go back but after 20 years to see this trash and hear the way people were treated ,NO ,Never again.
