Holiday Inn Express White House

Rooms were clean and somewhat comfortable. The front desk personnel were very friendly. Property under renovation and they were doing the best to keep the dust down Close to restaurants, highway entrance/exit and other shopping needs - walmart, etc

This place is a TOTAL DUMP. It hasn’t been updated in probably 30 years - or cleaned either. The amount of moisture in the air was awful, to which you could feel the dampness on the carpet. The headboard was wet due to the amount of moisture. The appliances were either totally rusted or molded. I assume rusted, but there was definitely mold in the walls, as I coughed the entire night there. At one point, I woke up to go outside in the middle of the night to catch a breath. The wallpaper was coming off of the walls, which appeared to have black mold behind it. This building should be condemned and I cannot tell you enough to stay away from this place!

The property is old and badly in need of renewal, refreshing and remodeling, and in fact that was happening in the room above ours when we arrived. The elevator is the ugliest ever seen. BUT, it was clean, the bed was good, and after the remodeling ended shortly after our arrival, it was very quiet. The room had a refrigerator with a freezer compartment to re-freeze the cold pack for our cooler. The breakfast was good plus. This would be 5 stars but for the worn carpeting and ugliness, and perhaps will be. The desk said the remodeling should be done in 2 or 3 months.

The staff here are excellent and why I gave this hotel a 3/5. We never had hot water for showers and this place is extremely dated. Shame on IHG for not spending money on upgrading this place. For the money, I expected better. The staff here deserve better. We had to change rooms due to the TV/satellite not working properly but this was accommodated with no issues. The lighting needs upgrading in the room and bathroom. The provided breakfast spread was very good, no complaints here. We will be back in Hendersonville or Gallatin next stay as it does not appear there are any good options in White House.

Mixed review for this location Good: Clean room, bathroom, hallway. Good workout room with treadmills and other equipment. Delicious buffet with many food options on Sundays. Bad: The back door to the parking lot did not lock. Issue reported on Saturday evening, and no action taken. Issue reported again on Sunday morning. No fix was planned immediately but the issue would be discussed on Monday.

Their Manager Teresa Miller was such an amazing help to my family and I! We’d been driving for over 24 hours and need a place to get rest and she got us situated so fast and nicely! 10/10 would recommend!

Stopped here after midnight with the family. Check in lady was nice. Rooms clean. Queen beds comfortable. Free breakfast had a variety of hot and cold food choices. Exercise room clean. Has an outdoor pool but did not use. Free HBO. Quick Check out.

Checkin was easy. Room appeared clean, but had a musty odor. The property is a bit older. The bath is still set up ＜90s style, including bathtub and belly-up dead bug behind the door. Most everything shows some age. Unusual for HI: a distinct smell of cigarette smoke was occasionally detected. TV screen small for the room size; signal and channel selection ok, IF you can get the satellite box to wakeup when you turn the TV on. We did it once in the room, but the next morning we could not replicate. We knew better than to call the front desk for any help. Wireless was strong in our room, but every speedtest I tried was 5 Mbps. both up and down. The Netflix fast.com test concurred, but also didn’t indicate any issues if you wanted to stream. I did not do anything else like VPN testing, but it seems speed, at least, is throttled. Fine for our applications and we saw no delays, but we didn’t try to stream anything. Furniture was ok. Fridge and microwave and Keurig provided, as advertised. Our 2-queen room had a weird little table with two side chairs. The two chairs are a bit unusual but welcome if two actually wanted to sit at a table, but the table was maybe 30”x30”. Obviously not intended for desk use, but that is your only choice if that’s your need. Unfortunately the property was having spurious fire alarms. We think. We never heard anything from the staff when they went off; as they were more occupied with contacting someone for assistance with just resetting the alarm. That is, we weren’t really certain they had verified there was no fire or smoke or someone pulled an alarm, what we saw was they just wanted to get the alarm reset. It seems the staff should verify no fire in the areas the fire panel shows there are problems, and notify the guests somehow (we were asking at the front desk, but got no answer) that it is a false alarm. After that, it's somewhat important that guests understand the fire alarm would continue to do its job if needed, but.... As it was, it only alarmed twice during the early evening when we were there, so we at least didn’t get awakened by a false? alarm. We checked our hallway and room, sniffed for smoke, and made sure we knew which way to exit, just in case. Breakfast was set up pretty well. Coffee was just average, and I didn’t care at all for the sausage patties, but the biscuits were great and the typical canned gravy good enough. I don’t believe I can recommend this place, due mostly to the cleaning issues and the apparent loss of focus entirely as to the purpose of a fire alarm in a building full of people.

First time staying at this particular hotel. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, and free coffee was provided in the lobby area. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend staying here when in the area.
