Abbotsleigh of Whitby

What a gem! My husband booked this for 2 nights for my Birthday and we had a wonderful stay. Our room was spotlessly clean, with a comfy bed, and awesome bathroom! There were also lovely little touches in the room to make it extra special. The hosts are so friendly and always happy to help. You have probably seen from the other reviews, the breakfast is awesome! We didn’t need to eat all day and looked forward to it every day, deliberately not eating too much the night before! The hotel is in a great location, we could get everywhere on foot. Cannot wait to go back.

What a gem of a place. Bob and Anita are fabulous hosts, the room and bathroom were spotless, lovely toiletries. Bed very comfy and a breakfast to die for - close to all amenities in Whitby- what’s not to love about this little gem of a place - free parking as well. Definitely will be coming back - it knocks the socks off hotels we have previously stayed in. Well done to Bob and Anita for creating such a warm friendly place to stay.

What a gem of a place this is Anita and Rob should be very proud of what they have created here. The bedrooms are beyond comfort spotlessly clean and any convenience you can think of to make your stay special. The towels are big and fluffy a measure to me of good accommodation. The toiletries are lovely. One draw back was the lack of storage space in the bathroom but that is just a minor thing. The breakfasts are really special with great ingredients cooked well. What superb hosts they are. Would highly recommend.

Just had a two night short weekend stay at the Abbotsleigh bed and breakfast guest house. From the warm welcome we had on arrival to the friendly goodbye, we enjoyed the best few days for a very long time. The room was spacious , clean and very comfortable. The hosts were warm and friendly and a great help with local knowledge. The breakfast was advertised as the best in Whitby and the hype was true. Absolutely delicious and nothing was too much trouble with the host. Would recommend this guest house to anyone without hesitation.

This was a most impressive guesthouse. It is approximately 10 minutes walk into the centre of Whitby. The room was on the top floor with lots of space and an ensuite bathroom. We had a mini fridge with complimentary bottles of water and we were given fresh milk for tea or coffee in our room, along with complimentary chocolates and biscuits. Apart from the kettle, it has a real coffee maker. The bed was so comfortable! The breakfast consisted of the usual continental with various fresh fruits, yoghurts and compote. The cooked breakfast was exceptional, as you would expect from a qualified chef! Both hosts were friendly and made us feel comfortable. Parking spaces are provided. We would highly recommend this guesthouse.

Nice to be back if only a very quick visit . A change of hand to Rob and Anita but still nice has ever , a lovely breakfast for both meat eater and vegetarians . A nice little fridge is know in your room great to put small drinks in , and your milk . Can recommend this B&B
