The best thing about this hotel is the location. They offer a much lower price than all hotels in Westerly. But the service is awful, and very unfriendly The rooms are clean but very much dated. The bed mattress was not in good shape and way too soft ! They do offer a good breakfast. This hotel is suitable, if you Only need a clean room to sleep in Westerly. If you are driving, you will find lots of better choices 10 miles away. That's what I will do next time

The rooms and property are clean and attractive. However I did not appreciate the brusque manner of the Management - both the desk clerk and the woman taking care of breakfast. The clerk didn't have to be rude to me when I only asked for the WiFi password.

Really enjoyed our stay,We stayed in the Jr suite ,Very clean ,Plenty of space .We had a problem with the AC ,Called the office and within a couple hours we had a brand new AC unit. Unfortunately we had a rainy stay so we didn’t use the pool, but it was very clean and well maintained.We would definitely recommend and return.The Venice restaurant next door was very nice and the food was very good .

Stay anywhere else. Booked this online because it said it was 22 miles from Mantauk. Turns out it is a 260 mile drive. Called them 2 minutes after I booked it for a reservation that was 3 months out and they refused to refund. Scammers

We love the rooms that face east, toward the golf course, with sliding glass doors onto a balcony, enjoy morning coffee or an afternoon with a drink. The rooms are clean, have the door open for a nice breeze, microwave and refrigerator in the room are handy. 14 years and still returning every summer and fall.

The Winnapaug Inn is a family owned operation (the DiMarco family). And the first thing they do is to make you feel like YOU are the.most important member of their family. You will not regret staying here, whether it's for a day, a week or a month.

We stayed here for one night in late April, which is very much pre-season for the RI coast. The main building sits perpendicular to the view of the salt pond, but had a nice balcony with seating. The room itself was large and fitted out just fine. The mattress was fairly awful, soft and spongy. We did notice a stock of mattresses in one front hall, so maybe good news. The building is four story, and an elevator is available. Oddly, the halls lights were not on to assist in our locating our room. Parking is a gravel lot adjacent to the building. We didn't make use of the adjoining restaurant as they were not open for breakfast at this time of year. The pool looked large and well kept. Any staff we spoke with were friendly and helpful, and allowed us to cancel part of our intended stay due to our unexpected circumstances.

We hadn't meant yo be anywhere near Westerly RI on our road trip. We were supposed to be north of Providence!! Anyway here we were, 3 Brits on holiday and getting towards the end of our 3 week road trip and only in Westerley because some over done Bostonite recommended it..it was getting on for mid afternoon and we were getting desperate in a landscape that was very much "camber sands" And we came across this place.. it was out of season but still very warm. 25 degrees Apart from another couple we were the only ones staying Its a typical seen better days motel... judging by the decor the hey day was the year I was born..1975 BTW. But as Brits we loved it!! It was clean and everything worked. We had a balcony and we spent about an hour on the jetty on their private beach. Which was total bliss!!! We felt like we had stepped back in time tbh..especially when we went to the restaurant next door...good food and good service BTW. My Dad had the best oysters ever Things got strange after the restaurant.. we are British so we drink quite a bit and we proceeded to get drunk on white wine on the balcony, where the owner was basically staring at us for hours!!! From his little office!!! Very weird Things got even weirder the next day at breakfast. Where it was like an episode of American Horror Story..with some weird Latino waitress and a weird guy in a wheelchair!! We checked out soon after..having had a very nice stay but with the weird feeling that Steven King needs to write a short story.

Been coming here for almost 14 yrs around the same time in mid September. Not much has been changed or updated in that time though. Never had a bad experience. No frills, little pricy considering it's a bit dated and not directly on the beach, but it has always been clean and tidy. Don't spend much time therr as I use it mostly to sleep and shower while visiting the area.
