My wife and I stayed at the Kimpton Grand Roatan and encountered only the highest level of service and cleanliness and attention to detail. I couldn't think of any change they could make to make it my stay any more comfortable. Everyone who works there was so eager to be helpful in every way. The way August at the pool could predict what we might want showed his experience and caring nature. Cesar at the Sea Cat restaurant made us feel like he was serving us in his own home rather than a restaurant. In the mornings at breakfast, Aaron made sure everything was just right. We were expecting some perks that were included as part of booking this trip. Apparently, applying perks across different systems can be complicated, but Emma at the front desk reassuringly worked everything out for us. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the maintenance man who modified my wooden souvenir to fit my bag or the cleaning lady who remembered that we liked an extra towel, or the nice man at the front door who always helped us with our bags and greeted us with a smile, or the late night bartender at the Vos bar who would prepare a cup of hot water for us to have tea in our room after dinner. Everything we ordered at the resort's restaurants was the absolute best and deserves its own long review. A unique thing about this resort is that you can walk the beach for several hundred yards and find a lot of restaurants right on the water. If you want some good local food, walk behind the bananarama to a shopping area called La Placita. A quick note regarding breakfast, my wife and I had our breakfast both included. In the past, at other resorts, I would take a plate of food to her in the room. Kimpton had a policy that would not allow that. The servers were apologetic, so I mention it in hopes that management might change it in the future.
