Haven by the Sea B&B

It is an amazing place—fun, clean, and with a great breakfast. Nancy and Jeff, the hosts, are so friendly but not intrusive that I felt right at home. And talk about super-accommodating: My wife enjoyed a specialty drink not available at their little pub, and sure enough, on the second night, there it was! We loved it so much that we brought other members of our family over to check it out, and now they plan to book it in a few months. Rooms were spotless, everyone was friendly. Great location as well. We will be back.

I should have paid attention to the bad reviews about these people. I am guessing they have money issues but if you have a policy you have to honor it. We made reservations back in February for a one week stay starting July 2. They took a Deposit of half. Being experienced travelers we know to read the small print and mark our calendars to show when we need to cancel by. According to THEIR confirmation email you have to cancel within 21 days of arrival. We decided to go somewhere else and on June 10 I emailed telling them we were cancelling our reservation. Then I called and told the lady the same thing. Her initial reaction was you are going to lose your deposit. I said no I’m not, it’s within 21 days and I gave the dates again. She said oh yes you’re right. As of today, July 13, I have no return of my almost 1200 deposit. Today I called and explained I had not gotten my deposit back and she said Why? I was stunned. I said you have to tell me cause you’re the one who didn’t send it to me. Then she told me she was busy and had to call me back. That’s when I lost it and told her I would be sure to let everyone I know what dirtbags ran this place. I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews about these people. Buyer Beware!!

Believe all of the positive reviews. The Haven is a true Gem in the hustle and bustle of a beachside community. My wife and I have stayed at the Inns in Jackson Village and Edgartown. This quiet, small, unique inn is truly an experience. Nancy is a wonderful host. We will be back for some quiet R&R no matter the season.

My wife and I stayed here for three of the most relaxing days. The atmosphere is the most peaceful and you do feel at home here. The Breakfast each morning’s is a major attraction. It is delicious each day. Something to look forward to each morning. Nancy is the most pleasant and attentive host you could have. She was very friendly and made sure you felt like you were comfortable during your stay. She also recommended some good restaurants for our evenings. We will definitely recommend you visit. We’re looking forward to our next stay. Thank you Nancy.

Bill & I have been staying at Haven by the Sea for years! The owners are sweet and thoughtful! Breakfast is always delicious, and served with love. The rooms are always clean, beautiful and relaxing! Wells Beach is amazing and within walking distance!

My husband and I spent 2 nights at this unique b and b. Nancy was wonderful and Danny made us fabulous breakfasts. This inn was once a church and is quite beautiful and cozy. Nancy was very friendly and have great restaurant tips. We recommend this place highly.
