Residence Inn Waynesboro

Spent one night here after driving the entire Skyline Drive. Grabbed take out at the nearby Chipotle and ate in the room. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Stayed here for 1 night for our trip to Shenandoah NP. We drove up from Myrtle Beach to park and used this as overnight stay before exploring NP next day. Hotel is nice and clean and room was spacious. We had room on 3rd floor and had no issues with it. Place is close to Panera Bread and other eatery and close to entry to Skyline Drive. Breakfast next day was good and adequate.

Had a great stay. No check-in issues. Only issue was a noisy AC unit that was vibrating enough to be an issue. The front desk clerk was obliging and moved us another room with a much quieter unit. Room was clean and well kept. Shower pressure was great. Breakfast was adequate for our needs for a 2 night stay. Definitely would stay again.

The room was quiet and spacious with a table and two chairs, sofabed and small kitchenette. The king bed was comfortable but the sofabed was not. The bathroom had plenty of counter space and the shower worked well. A/C worked well, there was convenient parking, and the hotel is in a good location near the highway.

My family and I attended the UVA graduation exercises and stayed at the Waynesboro Residence Inn May 17-19, 2024. Overall we had a fantastic experience and would stay here again. Rooms - While my parents stayed in an ADA studio room, my husband and I stayed in a two (2) bedroom suite with my sister and her husband. Both rooms were nice and spacious. The only issue I had was the hot water. The hot water never got hot while I was taking a shower. At times, I could tell it was trying but stayed at a lukewarm temperature. I thought it might have been the time a day when a lot of people are showering, but that wasn't the case when I took one around 5:00 am. Never had a problem with the hot water at the sinks. Cleanliness - From the common areas to the rooms, everything was clean and top notch. Food - Full breakfast with a good variety. Could tell the eggs were real and not powdered, sausage, hash brown potatoes, cereals, waffles, etc. Customer Service - The entire staff was great, but need to give a special shout-out to Natalie. She went over and beyond to make sure our time there was to our liking and that my parents had the accommodations we requested months in advance. She is a true leader and a vital part of the Residence Inn team. Convenience - Right off the exit and has plenty of food choices, gas, and other amenities.

I cannot imagine that there are many better hotels in Waynesboro than this, especially for the money. We stayed for 9 nights and had the hot tub to ourselves everyday. The pool is not available 7-9am M-F though if you like to swim in the morning as it is closed for lessons. The gym area also looked very nice and often quiet. The rooms were very nice and spacious. I did not use it but the kitchen was exceptionally clean and with all the usual utilities. The shower was really powerful and bed was comfy. The breakfast is what you expect for free. A waffle iron would definitely improve the options. On a positive note, there are many restaurants within walking distance / 2-3 min drive. The main downside was the noise from a nearby Mexican restaurant that played exceptionally loud music late at night most nights. In fairness, this can probably be heard in most of the hotels in the area.

Due to a quicker-than-expected old-house sale and slower-than-hoped closing on new construction, we were stuck in a hotel for over three months. But there was no better place to be "stuck." All of it due to the service! Every single employee we encountered--and I mean every--was kind, friendly, professional, and consistently hard working. I don't know where they find these folks, but we've stayed in some nice places over the last thirty years and as many countries, and while never so long in one hotel, but we have never experienced this level of care for less than Ritz Carlton $$$. I'd like to single out as exceptional; breakfast chef Charles, who brightens everyone's morning; and front desk Nikita, who embodies what we all think of when we think "Innkeeper." Housekeeping staff was great (especially Chris and friendly, "good to see you" Rosa), as were our laundry ladies (wish I remembered more names--they were terrific). Maintenance was quick as a wink (thanks Silk and partner), and we'll never forget William, the houseman. Wherever you looked, he'd be vacuuming hallways, cleaning windows or elevator walls. The whole place--including patio and indoor pool (nice and warm!/hot tub area)--was nearly spotless. Bed not like home, but pretty darn comfortable for picky bed/pillow people; bathroom very easy to access. The equipped kitchen we had was was more than adequate. Pots and pans especially nice. (I hope they will move to Keurig pot or similar for coffee eventually.) Hotel is walking distance to three restaurants and some fast food places. All together an excellent long-stay experience.

Great breakfast and very comfortable suite. This Residence Inn has the best breakfast. This was our 27th hotel stay since 5/30/23, and this was the Best breakfast in all of our stays. They had spinach/Swiss crustless quiche and ham/cheese croissants, in addition to the standard breakfast fare. The Breakfast Host, was friendly, courteous and efficient. He made sure that each guest had what they wanted and needed. The two room suite was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bed was extra comfortable with quality smooth sheets. All the staff were professional and courteous. The front desk staff dressed professionally and were knowledgeable about the surrounding area.

Amazing place. We had a one room suite. Nice and roomy. Its so big l could live here for a while. Very clean awesome location the whole area in general is great. 10 or more restaurants within a mile Walmart right down the road gas stations I-81 six miles away. It’s a safe neighborhood.This is one of our favorite Marriott locations.
