Das Hotel ist klein und ruhig und traumhaft ausgestattet. Silvia und Aldo mit ihren Hunden geben dem Haus ihren persönlichen Touch. Das Personal ist extrem gut geschult, das Essen ein Traum und die Zimmer sehr sauber und toll ausgestattet. Die Matratze war für unsere Verhältnisse recht hart. Wir hatten Suite 8 mit direktem Blick auf das Meer. Der Zugang zur Meer ist nur über eine Treppe möglich, jedoch kann man hier nur bei Ebbe hinunter, ein weiteres Schwimmen im Meer ist nicht möglich, Strand selbst gibt es nicht, dafür einen traumhaften Meerwasser-Pool. Die Lodge ist recht weit aus Watamu draußen, dafür ganz ruhig - mit dem TukTuk kommt man für 300 KESH jedoch in ca. 20 Minuten recht rasch ins Zentrum. Der Transfer von und zum Flughafen Malindi konnte gut zugemacht werden und wir haben uns nach vorheriger Safari und 2 Tagen Nairobi wunderbar in der Lonno Lodge ausrasten können. Herrlich und gerne wieder!

Our stay at Lonno was an unforgettable experience! From the warm welcome by the friendly staff to the peaceful, beautifully designed rooms with stunning ocean views, everything about this place was exceptional. Dining with the ocean in view made each meal feel special, and the attentive staff ensured we felt pampered throughout. The staff at Lonno are able to help with dinner reservations (and getting around Watamu) although I would not recommend missing the 3 course dinner at Lonno. One of the most memorable experiences was the breathtaking low tide walk to the Seven Islands, where we could explore the stunning rock pools and sea creatures while enjoying the unique coastal beauty up close.

One of the best resorts on the Kenyan Coast for a couples getaway. Loved every minute that we spent here. Would definitely go back. The staff are extremely attentive and take great care of you. The food menu onsite is very well crafted. Overall a great place to unwind away from all the noise.

We had a wonderful 8 nights, Sylvia and Aldo were so welcoming and all the staff were so helpful. Beautiful relaxing environment and lovely pool. Sylvia arranged for meals out and boat trips which were excellent. Food was delicious throughout our stay. Loved spending time with the 3 dogs too!

Everything about the lodge was perfect , the ambience , the rooms, the staff and our hosts . Nothing was too much trouble and everyone went out of their way to make our holiday perfect. Definitely worth more than 5 stars!!! A wonderful relaxing experience.

Loved this place. Staff were wonderful, great position, well decorated, yummy food, owners and their dogs super friendly and extremely helpful. My favourite spot was the handing sunbed on its own raised platform One point.. I would have loved a/c in the bedrooms.

We stayed for 3 nights as a family (2 adults and 2 kids aged 8 and 7) at The Charming Lonno Lodge in January 2025. It was a fantastic experience - one of the most relaxing places we have stayed at. Silvia and Aldo were incredible hosts who went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. This hotel is their baby and therefore the level of dedicated, personal attention that a guest receives from them is unmatched at any other luxury hotels we have stayed at (and a much more personal guest experience compared to large luxury hotel chains). The food is absolutely delicious, fresh and excellent quality - and guaranteed to be fantastic because Silvia and Aldo were eating the same food on site. Our daughter loved playing with their dogs Half, Bea and Nala and we felt truly safe, looked after and relaxed because of the superb person attention of the owners and their staff. We have stayed at Lonno lodge now 3 times in the last 4 years. This place is by far the best lodge on the Kenyan coast. It has a great location and at walking distance to Watamu at low tide. The pool is amazing. Very relaxing atmosphere and superb service. The rooms are extremely comfortable. Very friendly owners. The 5 course dinners at the pool under the stars are magical.
